I was a late walk in hoping they had a room and with no prior Yelp reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect, especially traveling with my German Shepherd. But the front desk was helpful locating somewhere to eat and they also have a large map on one of the walls with recommended spots. As of 5/5/21 in room 121, my king room was a little over $100 and immaculate with tall ceilings giving it a larger space appearance. With a little kitchen area that has wood laminate flooring, they include basic kitchenware. Then I walk into the sleeping area- the carpet was clean and without stain or blemish. The tv is on a swivel mount to angle towards the bed and had a personalized welcome when I walked in to the room, I found that to be unique and a very nice personalized touch. There were couch tables to pull up and work on a laptop or textbook. A large closet with a spare packaged comforter. The bed was a cloud with mid/high quality sheets. I always check under the mattress first thing after check in and it was very clean. The bathroom is impressive with a good sized shower area. The mirror is large and a lit edge frame, perfect for anyone doing their makeup. The bath amenities are Paul Mitchell brand and a citrus scent. A single makeup wipe was also included. For breakfast they are serving individually wrapped items such as toast, English muffin, waffle, yogurt, apple cereal and juices. Their Pool is also open. The only improvements I would recommend is the dog fee is $100 and it would be nice to see them put in a little doggy station outside so a restroom area is contained to one spot on property. I had actually hoped to extend my stay a second night, the room was so nice, but unfortunately was called away. Actually kind of bummed. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel!

Although the employees at the front desk were friendly, I don't have too much other positive feedback. First off, our room had a strange smell. My husband thinks it might be the result of it being a pet-friendly hotel, maybe it was the smell of wet dog. Our room also didn't seem like it was cleaned thoroughly before our arrival - there were some hairs in the shower and on the bathroom floor as soon as we entered. Every time the air conditioning ran in our room, it made a loud mechanical noise that frightened my young child. We could also hear other strange noises (including people walking around upstairs), though one regular one might have been the ice maker in the refrigerator. I barely slept that night. We were on the first floor and got hardly any water pressure. Additionally, the water never stayed at the temperature you set it on. The cold water gradually turned to hot, and the hot water got colder. They do offer a hot breakfast with your stay, although it was nothing special. I think there were a lot of student athletes and their family staying at the same time we were there, which meant a lot of teens on their phone blocking the hallways, not moving through the lines, and very little selection at the breakfast bar because the staff couldn't keep items stocked. Though there are plenty of food options nearby, the roads are very busy and the restaurants are mostly chains/basic or an all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet. Not very walkable, and Columbus generally has better food options to offer in other parts of town. We're not likely to stay here again.

I've stayed in a lot of Hotels/Motels all over the US and abroad. My room was clean, bed comfortable, but what REALLY made my stay extra special was a young lady at the front desk named Alex. She went WAY out of her way to make sure I had a pleasant stay. She was charming, witty, but still acted in a professional way. I think Alex would be a asset to ANY Hotel anywhere! Thank you for a great stay.

First off, the…read moreentrance is not even marked with a sign so if you turn at the Bob Evans Restaurant entrance you will not be able to get to the Hampton. You will have to exit and go to the next entrance since there is only 1. Check-In: I used self check-in with Digital key so I can't comment on the check-in process at the front desk. A quick glance of my room, I realized this location was more decor-centric vice functional. The desk chair was not a desk chair and sat nearly 1 foot off the ground. I talked to the front desk and they said that is part of their upgrade, but that is not going well. You can see where they pulled a door off a cabinet set and placed a small fridge in there. Problem was they installed it at an angle so any heavy drinks placed in the door may cause the door to randomly open. The TV was on the bigger side from some of the others I have seen. I wonder if this place had a water issue as the floors felt uneven as you walked down the corridor. It just felt different than a leveled floor. The coffee makers was located on the bottom shelf of the cabinet and had to brew it in the bathroom as that was one of the few electrical outlets available where I had surface to place it in. It's a single cup serve type unit. Check out: Normally I wake up the morning of checkout day with my receipt slipped under my door. Not here. I went down stairs to check out and the male behind the desk didn't even ask me how my stay was. I had to ask for a printed copy of my receipt. He seem distracted trying to do something else while checking me out. Overall, this property has a lot of upgrades from a functionality standpoint. They are too focused on the decor that they fail to meet the needs of their customers who frequently travel for business. The desk chair is just uncalled for and should never been considered an option because it's not a desk chair. The overall cleanliness of the facility was well kept, but I struggle to give it the 4th star due to their choice to focus on decor instead of function for the customer. I did not have their morning continental breakfast so I am unable to comment on that.

It is very well designed and has an upscale feel to it. The location is great with many restaurants within easy walking distance. The only item I would change is the food isn't great here. The breakfast restaurant (albeit very affordable for a hotel) seemed to over-salt food but there are plenty of options in the area for alternative dining. The rooftop bar, Vasso, has a nice view of the river and has a nice ambience. I suggest deferring to the waiters on food to order (the pierogi was great, the ceviche was awful). The other item to flag is that there are a TON of taxes and fees attached to the base rate- 7 additional line items (approx $38 extra per night for my stay).

WOWZA!! plates!! metal utensils!! and for the same nightly rate as disposable table settings. totally made me feel fancy, exactly how cool is that? dining room was full of well dressed folks on Saturday morning, they seemed pretty casual just the same and with well mannered young people. I looked at all the amenities on their website. The amenities are listed as having room service. A bar and a restaurant the hotel had none of those amenities. Upon checking in, we got our room which was supposed to be a king size. Deluxe got to the room. It's the end of December in Ohio and there was no heat working in the room. The person at the front desk could not assist at all. They had no maintenance on hand at all to check out. The issue they downgraded me instead of upgrading me like most hotels do when you have a problem with a room with 2 Queen beds, so my fiancé and I had to sleep in separate beds on New Year's Eve. If you wanted ice, you have to go down to the lobby. And wait for the front desk person to finish with customers to get ice. I was very angry. The young lady at the front desk was nice as she possibly could be however, she was no assistance. There was no one there that could a assist. I asked for the manager. Their manager was not available the following day before checking out. I asked to see the manager again not available. I call in. The following day requesting a refund and again. The manager was not available for me to speak with. I would have canceled my stay and requested a refund when we Were told that we were going to get a room. That was less than what I booked. it was New Year's Eve and there were no other hotel rooms available.. The person at the front desk told me that the problem with the amenities was that I had booked on a third party website which was not true. Because if you look at their site today, their site. Also shows the same amenities travel I have traveled for a while so I knew to look at the hotel site before booking.. The customer service there was terrible. I would never stay at another holiday inn ever again in my life. Even hotels..com Attempted to get the hotel to refund my money. And the agent from hotels.com recommended that I dispute the charge with my credit card. I have complained for 3 days And to this day I still have not been contacted by the manager.

Well.. the experience could have been better for sure. I stayed here for a few weeks on a business…read moretrip. First 3 weeks were great, no complaints. I came back for 2 more weeks and although my AC did not work in my room, there was a fan above the bed so that was fine with me as I don't like my room too cold. I did mention it to them 3 nights before checking out that when I leave they should take a look at it before putting another guest there. They offered to take care of it the next day. I come to my room from work and see a bucket under the pipe in the closet (picture) almost full of water already. Was told maintenance will not be working on it till tomorrow and they offered to move me into a different room. A hassle but understandable. I packed my things and went to the other room. Next room had a broken door frame so the door didn't close properly without me putting force on it. Walk in the room, the sheets are DIRTY (picture). At this point I'm upset for obvious reasons but main one being we're in a pandemic! If housekeeping doesn't take the time to even change sheets, are they really cleaning anything else in there?! Once again I got moved to a different room. The room was clean, but next morning I woke up with my ankles itching and having bite marks all over them. I checked the bed and didn't find anything. A week before that my boss stayed there and had something bite him too. I've been a diamond member for years which they did not acknowledge. When asked for a bottle of water at the front desk, I was asked for a room number so they can charge me. No thanks. Also the room had a 1L bottle of water on the table. Drink it and they'll charge your room $5 for it. Because of pandemic no breakfast other than breakfast sandwiches in the morning during breakfast hour, after that they'll charge your room for them. Pool was closed. Laundry is 24 hours but can be updated. Staff is very nice. Grills outside are great. Right off the highway with lots of food and grocery stores around.
