The breakfast was decent for a continental breakfast. I was fortunate to have meal vouchers so I was able to order off a menu and got the breakfast burrito. The rooms are fine. Like most hotel chains the walls are rather thin so you definitely hear people in the hallway and in my particular situation a bunch of tween boys for a lacrosse tournament who wouldn't shut up and overtook the nice outdoor patio which my window overlooked. Eh. There are several options in the area that are in far better condition for a similar price. The rooms are very dated and run down. When I entered the room it was hot and stuffy - the thermostat read 80 degrees F. I set it to 68 and left for dinner. When I returned 3 hours later, my room was cooled to 73. The other item I think is worth mentioning is that the toilet has less pressure than the ones in my own home, which may pose an issue for some. All in all, I cannot recommend this hotel. The staff at the front desk were friendly and the grounds were well kept. I did not have time to stop for their complimentary breakfast so no feedback to share on that. I visit Columbus frequently for business and will be staying elsewhere. read more

Stay at this hotel as a last resort only. We stayed Thursday to Sunday. Front desk staff were not helpful and used every ounce of their energy to ignore anyone near the desk. When a small bar of soap was requested they were unable to provide it. The coffee pots in the lobby were dirty. We checked out at 4 am due to an early flight. Lobby trash cans had not been emptied from the night before plus there were dirty dishes left out. Since they only serve breakfast, assuming dishes were left out all day. The hotel is not handicap friendly, as one in our party got stuck getting out of the elevator. We are regular Hilton customers but will rethink all Hilton Garden Inns. We had to walk to the Embassy Suites, which was close by just to get a night cap. Although there was a small bar, no one ever worked it. After getting home, we found out the hotel rejected all cards but ours and charged us for all the rooms. All of the credit cards were good. One card finally went through. Wow, just wow. read more

Third world service masquerading as a decent hotel. This place charged my credit card for eating at their cafeteria when I never ate there because I am on a specific diet. I disputed it with them and they said that they would refund my money which never happened. I filed a police report. Keep in mind, I never showed my ID or credit card. They said that someone just has to give them a room number and that room will be charged. Well I'm not paying $36.20 for their mistake and frankly given their lack of BBB accreditation I suspect that this is more of a fraud ring than mistake. They are rude, arrogant, and shout over you. I am supposed to be a Hilton Honors member and that too is a complete joke. When you complain to the corporate number they transfer your call to the bratty front desk attendant who talks over you while explaining that you MUST have eaten there. Here's an idea, check the cameras. Someone has clearly committed a crime. Or maybe that person is them? Aside from being ripped off by them the indoor pool was freezing, they charge you to park at the hotel in a parking lot where none of the street lights work, the shower was hard to turn on, the curtains wouldn't close, the TV guide was non functional, the furniture was all chipped up, and there were teens running up and down the halls knocking on doors yelling "sheriff's dept". When I complained to the front desk about the teens doing this at 12:30 at night they simply said "well we have guests that we can't control". I hadn't noticed. I will NEVER stay at a Hilton again. This was the worst hotel experience that I have ever had. I do plan to follow up with the Dublin Police today as I want to press charges on those resonsible. read more

Stopped for a one night stay. Scot was great. He was helpful by suggesting a great place to grab a bite, as the kitchen was closed for remodeling. Had we known that we could have planned accordingly. Thought it was kind of odd to have to pay almost 4 bucks to park in the parking lot. You would think that since the kitchen was down, they would at least compensate that. I have stayed at HGI during my entire drive from west coast to East Coast, and now again as I head back to CA and I can't say enough great things about these hotels! Every single one has been awesome! And my big service dog loves them too! Every employee has always gone above and beyond, at all of the different locations! First the good- the staff seem friendly and helpful. The hotel is in need of a deep (or basic cleaning). My first room had crumbs (or boogers?) wiped on the desk. The staff helped me change rooms easily enough. The sheets seemed clean but it's the type of hotel where you need to not look at details- dust / dirt in corners, stained walls and furnishings, dried urine under the toilet. The location is awkward, the hotel doesn't appear to serve food for dinner. There is a small shopping center .25 miles away with a grocery, pizza place, subway, and McDonald's. Otherwise it's a dead zone of hotels and office buildings, not much in the immediate area. It's a decent place to overnight if you need a quick sleep. I would not recommend it for multiple nights stay, there are plenty of options in the area that may be newer / cleaner. read more

I'm retired, but have used HGI most of my travels and must say this has to be one of worst in their chain. Location is great...but that's about it. Find out the pool was closed for whatever reason. Call from the road to get better directions but no one answers. Call several times...nothing. Check in, mentioned the phone. "Oh, the phones don't work", and mentions they don't work most of the time. Doubled check that I was getting a walk in shower - "oh yes sir.....room 201". I didn't go up to room as I was headed elsewhere. Come back at 8 to find the room featured a tub! Called down to front...no answer. Walk down and got it changed out. Naturally the front desk lady couldn't make the change on the computer....had to get the "nite guy" to change it. This motel was built quickly I'm assuming as the second floor featured wood structured floors with carpeting. You could feel the give of the floors. It wasn't stressed concrete.... Room (223) had water stains, no computer power outlets/USB ports, windows were dirty, and carpets were in question on cleanliness. Hilton corporate needs to evaluate this property closer. read more

This appears to be an older Hilton, but it was very clean and the staff were very friendly. I realize that things seem cleaner these days, but COVID is no excuse for cleanliness. EVERY place should be clean ALL the time, not just now. Hopefully this hotel will maintain their cleanliness and I won't have to say in the future that they have not been up to standard. The room was very nice and had all the amenities needed. My family has made Hilton one of our places of choice after a horrible experience with bed bugs at a Marriott. Nice new property but heaven forbid if you try to have a banana at 6:55. You will be yelled at from across the lobby repeatedly for a banana. Even though you've paid for the full breakfast buffet, which apparently opens at 7:00, if you have to leave at 6:55 you can't have a banana. There are no signs saying what time the buffet opens. There are no signs saying that it is closed. The buffet is fully stocked and ready to go. It's right in the lobby, right in the open. But don't try to have a banana, your day will be ruined for trying to have a banana. For some reason they have taken the words "service" and "hospitality" out of "food service" and "hospitality industry". Want to start the day upset and angry? Try to have a banana 5 minutes before the non posted opening time of the breakfast buffet that you paid for. In short, don't stay here. read more

I love this hotel. I usually get lucky and score it on Hotwire which makes it even better. The area is very nice as well. You are located close to Kroger, the mall and many restaurants. We stopped here on our cross country road trip. Very clean and service was lovely. We got room service and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Here's the thing, I'm kind of a food and hotel snob -- so to begin with, I'm kind of a touch customer, but when you're traveling with a pet, hotel choices are limited. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, really not much to complain about. The staff was friendly, they tended to us pretty well during breakfast every morning as if they were running a tight ship restaurant and that was refreshing. I didn't eat any of their food though, whattttt!? I know, I'm surprised too. No I drank their coffee every morning but skipped breakfast in my continued attempts to intermittent fast. House keeping kept our room tidy and didn't touch any of our personal stuff which is good. And I don't mean as in didn't steal, that would be terrible, I mean more so as in didn't even budge the stuff 1 inch to the left which is a no no for me for whatever reason when I'm staying at a hotel. If there is one thing I could actually bring up that was a bummer, is that the bathroom door wouldn't close all the way and because of that it wouldn't lock. I didn't bring it to their attention and I should've but the door is hanging slightly down, not allowing it to fully lock. I remember my room number if you guys read my review and wanna get in touch. Normally I love staying at the Hilton Garden Inn to enjoy the hot cooked to order breakfast in the morning. However on this day the first morning breakfast was not available because someone called in unavailable for work. I asked if there was any compensation for the lack in service and I was responded to with I don't know. Chalking it up to a fluke, I went on with my day without a substantial breakfast and hoped for the best for tomorrow. The Following morning I sat down for breakfast and ordered an egg white omelette with all the veggies and Swiss cheese, like I do it every Hilton Garden Inn, and was told they don't do egg whites and only have Mexican mix cheese. Surprised by this first occurrence, I told her it was OK I would just pass and went to the front desk. After informing the front desk of the situation with breakfasts, and the mini fridge that froze all of my salads for the week on the lowest setting, and the toilet that runs all night unless you mess with the handle, I asked if there would be anything done to compensate for these inconveniences and I was told, not at this time. Not impressed with the facility, extremely small TVs, bad fridges, minuscule pool, and a subpar breakfast. The customer service didn't seem to want to keep their guests happy either, I will not be returning here. read more

Are usually stay at Hampton Inn because they have free breakfast and it's cheaper but I will stay at Hilton Garden Inn if the price is low enough. This particular hotel lost its appeal when I open the microwave to find somebody's old smelling spoiled dinner left in a plastic sack. It stunk so bad that I didn't wanna put it in the trash, so I set it outside the room, and when I checked out this morning, it was still there. Clearly, this hotel has taken advantage and continues to use the Covid as the reason for poor service. When it was obvious to me that nobody bothered to check the microwave, it made me wonder what else they didn't do? Like clean the toilet seat or make sure there were no organic materials left in the rug or the sheets, yuck! I'll not stay here again. read more

Rooms need an update, furniture and doors were full of dings and the drawers to the dresser kept randomly opening on their own. Beautiful, huge lobby area with tables but we were told we were not allowed to bring in a pizza in the evening and sit at a lobby table to eat. The woman working said "it has something to do with our liquor license." They did not serve food there in the evening and no one was in there, I think she just didn't want us to dirty a table so we ate in the depressing room read more

This hotel is very close to I-270, which is convenient for travelers. The staffs were friendly. The room was big enough, and was clean. However, the only table in the room was shaky and barely standing. The air conditioner did not function well. The bathroom sink faucet lever was a bit stiff. We checked in quite late at night, and decided not to bother to ask to change to a different room because we were only there overnight. Tip: before you unpack your luggages, check all major things that might cause troubles for you. read more

We stayed here for a friend's wedding at the beginning of April 2014. Let me start by saying that the hotel was being renovated when we arrived and was clearly torn apart in many places. They were busy and it sounded like they didn't have any rooms left available for walk-ins. The woman in front of us was having one heck of a time with her check-in but luckily, ours went very quickly. We left the front desk and headed to the elevators. There were two elevators and one of the doors opened, only to find out that the elevator would not move...Strike 1. We waited forever for the second elevator to come down. We finally got in it and went to our floor, the 4th floor, which was nicely renovated. We walked to the room, inserted the key card, only to find a man occupying the room...Strike 2. He looked just as shocked as us and we apologized and went back to the front desk after a long wait for the elevator. Another family that was waiting to check in when we were there were back on the elevator. They asked what was wrong with our room. We told them someone was in there. We then asked what was wrong with theirs and they told us it was torn apart and not acceptable to stay in. We finally reach the front desk and explain the situation. They were very apologetic and assigned us a new room and also gave us free breakfast for the next morning (we were just hoping the room was completed). We once again waiting forever for the elevator and made it to the room (which was completed and not occupied). This left us with 30 mins until we had to leave for the wedding as it took 30 mins before we could get to a good room. The rooms were decently quiet so that was good. The parking was horrible as they had construction equipment blocking some of the spots and of course the hotel was busy...Strike 3. Strike 4 actually happened the next day at breakfast. The food, it just wasn't that great. The eggs looked unappetizing and our "waitress" even said so. They kept running out of stuff too. I stay at Hiltons a lot when I travel and this one just did not live up to the other ones I enjoy. read more

Stayed here for a week for business. The gym here is very small and no free weights. If you care about working out while travel, you prob should check out another hotel. The rate is good around $110 a night for corporate rate. It is next to a kroger for shopping groceries. There's also jasons deli and a dry cleaners near by. We made reservations to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn for the week of Christmas. I have to say that Justin (who works at the front desk) was so very nice and helpful from the time we made the reservation, answering questions when I called back twice and when we finally met him at the front desk. He even called us on a day we kept the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door( and didn't get the room cleaned), to make sure we didn't run out of anything we may need. He was even nice enough to bring a box of kleenex up since that was the only thing we ran out of. The hotel is super nice. I understand that renovations were recently done and it shows. The lobby is gorgeous. We checked in with no problem whatsoever. We stayed in a king room on the fourth floor and the room was really nice. Very modern decor. When we walked in, there was a cute towel display of two swans on the bed. The room was clean and mostly comfortable. The bed was a challenge for us since we are used to a memory foam mattress at home. There is a mini fridge, microwave and mini Keurig in the room. Pods, cups, creamer and sugar are provided. Nice touch. We stayed seven nights and enjoyed our time there. The staff is very responsive, friendly, approachable and caring. The front desk personnel, the "restaurant" (more like a cafe) employees, housekeeping and maintenance were very helpful. We stopped at the front desk to let them know our room was cold. The maintenance person went to our room right away, we were having breakfast in the hotel and he was back to us before we even had a chance to sit down to eat. The issue was ours with the heat, we had the settings incorrect. We used the hot tub and pool once during our stay. It was very nice in there, very clean. The only criticism I have is the breakfast food/cost. I liked the waffle I made for my boyfriend and I, the fruit they serve is fresh. The coffee isn't very good and the cost for what you get seemed a little high. Including tip, the breakfast was a little over $20 for 2 people. That is regardless of whether you have a cooked breakfast, or cereal and fruit, or a muffin and a banana. So if you are going to partake, make sure you are really hungry and get your money's worth. Don't pay $20 for two people to have coffee, a muffin and share a banana. There is a Kroger nearby, I suggest you pick up some food that you can keep in your room. read more

Looks like the hotel has been updated. Carpeting in the room looked good. Though the blinds were hard to keep closed in the middle. Though the most bizarre caulking around the toilet. Maid left me only decaf coffee for the Keurig machine and also left me with only one wash cloth for the bathroom. Breakfast seemed to be cold food only. So I'll stay here again if I absolutely have to but I'll try to get into one of the other Hilton brands first. read more

I stayed two nights in this hotel. The night before my wedding and the night of my wedding. It happened during the great Derecho of 2012 and the power was out for half of my stay. Still, given the circumstances the staff handled it well. Night one was in a 2-bed room on the second floor. It was fine but had lots of minor problems - peeling wallpaper, knicks all over the bathroom walls, tiny cramped bathroom with a door that wouldn't stay shut, etc. Night two was in a much nicer 1-bed room room on the 4th floor. It didn't have any of the problems described in the room from the first night and was pretty comfortable (aside from the fact that the room had no AC, not the hotel's fault though). It would seem that the quality of the rooms are not all the same after all. read more

We searched for a hotel block close to our wedding in Powell, so the choices are basically in the Tuttle area or the Polaris area. We ended up choosing HGI partly because I have a HHonors account (and Diamond status!) Best decision made. The coordinator who originally set up the block left, but the new Director of Sales, Brenda, was just great to work with. She worked to straighten out issues with people who couldn't get into the block, and was just helpful in getting our shuttles and welcome bags into place. When my wife and I finally made it to the hotel at 2:30a on wedding night, our keys were waiting for us at the front desk, and a vase of roses, champagne, and chocolates were waiting in our room. Just an overall seamless experience, and what is to be expected from a Hilton branded hotel. And kudos to Brenda, again, for just being awesome! read more

Stayed at this hotel in a block of rooms for a wedding. They held arrival gift bag behind the counter and provided it to us when we checked in. This location is either unique or I have not been to a hotel like this before. The reception desk is directly in front of you as you walk in but it is slightly pushed back. This allows you to take in the lobby experience on the right and left. There is a restaurant area on the right with what looked like a bar. This makes it a very nice open set up for a location in suburban Ohio. The room was nice, we had a King bed as well as a couch that opened up into an additional sleeping spot. I'm not sure if the wifi was slow or if they cap upload speeds but I was not able to upload a video to YouTube here. There was also some confusion about my room being cleaned as I was still in the room when room service came. I told them they could come in while I was there but they never came back. My girlfriend and I decided to get away for the Christmas holiday and made a reservation for 8 nights at the Hilton Garden Inn. We read a lot of reviews and looked at a map before we decided on this place and we chose a winner. The hotel is conveniently located near the freeway, plenty of restaurants near by as well as grocery and other shopping. The staff at this hotel are extremely nice and helpful. Even with suggesting restaurants and such. The hotel itself is clean, updated and comfortable. We even used the pool and hot tub one evening and it was enjoyable. We liked the Dublin area, there are plenty of places to shop, eat and see. Even though we didn't go, it is close to the zoo (in case you are looking for a place to stay near there). We will stay here again if we are in town again, and hopefully we will be!! read more

It's just a run of the mill Hilton Garden Inn. The front desk operators were very nice. I was greeted nicely and received my room key with no hassle, even though I arrived before the check in time of 3:00pm. Unfortunately, the room was not ready even though I was told it was. When I walked in the sheets were off of the bed and there was trash everywhere. I went back to the front desk, they apologized and quickly gave me another room. This one was much better. After two nights of stay, I only wish that there was a bar at this hotel. I did not try any food at this hotel. As a recap, I would only stay at this hotel if there were no other options available. Next time I'll have to try the Embassy Suites next door. Also, the water temperature control was backwards in my shower. Very nasty surprise. Are you a fan of beige, nondescript, sterile hotels in suburban office parks? If so, look no further! All joking aside, this hotel is a very serviceable option in Dublin. Close to a lot of retail and shopping, but not downtown Dublin, so you'll have a hike to the city center. My room and bathroom were very clean, the beds were comfy, and the staff was gracious. My sole complaint is that the shower ran icy-cold on me a few times. That certainly kept me awake. I'll chalk it up to bathing during morning rush hour, but one would think they'd plan for the whole place to be showering at once, no? Breakfast is decent, with an omelet station, a waffle iron, and healthy options like oatmeal and fruit. read more
