This is a review for the new Macaron (Charleston Mac Mama) located inside Knightsville general store Sun-Tues. Had the Dubai chocolate macaron which was so wonderful, and a variety pack of 6 others. All were wonderful. Also grabbed a chocolate cupcake. Such a cute little spot, friendly service. Outdoor seating area would be great for spring and summer.

Charming country tearoom with delicious scones. Food is quite tasty with good proportions. Reasonable selection of Harney & Sons teas, although loose leaf selections are limited. Staff has warm southern hospitality and they do a significant takeaway business as well. Definitely check it out if you are in the area!

Afternoon Tea #96 Knightsville Tea Room I'm no culinary expert, however, because I've experienced 96 Afternoon Teas across England, The United States and Canada, I do feel like I am I qualified to know what makes an afternoon tea extra special. Our experience today was lovely. From the moment we stepped in the door, we were greeted with friendliness and southern charm. The Menu: Savories: Tomato Tart, Chicken Salad Croissant, Shaved Roast Beef and Cucumber Scones: Blueberry Scone and Orange Cranberry Scone Clotted Cream and Strawberry Jam Sweets: Salted Caramel Brownie, Raspberry Cake, Almond Tart Tomato Tart: delicious, crispy outer pastry, creamy, melt in your mouth filling 10/10 rank. Chicken Salad Croissant: (a house specialty) well mixed, packed with flavor and red grapes. The croissant was soft and pillowy. 10/10 rank. Cucumber: soft, springy white bread, not a smidgen of staleness anywhere 9.5/10 rank (could have used a slightly thicker slice of cucumber). Shaved roast beef: meaty, juicy, tender texture, shaved perfectly, not too thin, and not too thick, so that, a lady, could take a dainty bite, and not have a roast beef tug of war with her teeth. The bun was light and airy and the horseradish spread was delicately seasoned with just a kiss of horseradish. Not over powering. Simple perfection in a few bites. 10/10 rank. ...let me tell you now... this was one of the absolute best savory tiers we have ever enjoyed in all 96 Afternoon Teas. Scones in The United States are NOT the same as England. They just aren't. With that said, these scones were some of the best "Americanized" scones we've tried. Good texture, not too crumbly. Each one boasted a surplus of fruit and flavors. The "cream" was housemade clotted cream. The strawberry jam was very natural tasting in strawberry flavor and not too sweet. Scones 7/10 Clotted Cream 6.5/10 Jam 8/10 News Flash: American Afternoon Teas sometimes, (actually, almost always) skimp on the savories and overdo the number of sweets. It is quite disheartening for a sweet tier option to take away from the experience rather than enhance it. The Brownie: fudgy, and delightfully not too sweet. The caramel was almost maple like in flavor and complimented the whipped cream and gooey fudgy chocolate center. Brownies are not what I would look for in an afternoon tea, but that is just personal preference. Too heavy of a choice, in my opinion. Afternoon Tea sweets are typically light and airy and refreshing after your "meal" of savories and scones. 6/10 rank The Raspberry Cake looked elegant in presentation. I was expecting a crisp, shortbread, type of crust, as found in many afternoon tea pastry options, instead it was quite dense, with thick sugar cookie like sides and a bit of a gummy middle. The raspberry on top was fresh and bursting with raspberry flavor. The cream like/jam center was not custard but not whipped cream. I did eat the inside but did not eat the cake/cookie like crust. It was too sweet and too heavy of a choice. Maybe the jam filling made the bottom a bit soggy. 4.5/10 rank The Almond Tart was... SUBLIME! Like a Golden Joconde sponge. The almond flavor was vibrant and fragrant and scrumptious like marzipan. The sponge texture was light, bouncy and had a drizzle of almond simple syrup that lingered on your fingertips and of course, made you lick your fingers for every delectable bit. This sweet option was by far, my absolute favorite of the sweets. Refreshing. Light. Just the way a sweet should be. 10/10 rank We devoured pretty much everything which is a good indication of how delicious everything was. You will not leave hungry! Our tea server, Linda, was charming as well and so attentive. I should have asked if I could take her photo as her smile added so much JOY to the experience. Lovely soft music was playing in the background. Knightsville might be an outlying area of Summerville, a little off the beaten path, but visiting is positively worth the drive. I honestly can't say enough good things about the owner Lisa, (darling hostess) the entire staff, and the whole Afternoon Tea experience. To me, the highest test and ranking of all, is this, ... would you come back? ABSOLUTELY, without a doubt!! If you have been thinking about visiting the Knightsville Tea Room but was unsure what to expect, or maybe you thought, how can a small tea room, out in the country, begin to compare with downtown afternoon tea venues, trust a seasoned afternoon tea snob when I say, BOOK NOW!! You will not be disappointed.

We stopped by on a whim, looking for a spot to grab something small and chat awhile. Bullseye! The Cafe is in a house, and so its ambiance is homey and intimate. In the main room you order food and drinks, and then as you wander about to choose where you want to sit you find cozy niches by the window, a further room with several tables and chairs, a Hershey's branded ice cream room with plenty of flavors, and a broad front porch lined with rockers. Each room has unique items for sale befitting a General Store, and we picked up several as gifts. I ordered their signature hot dog, and it was as good as described - a loaded, fat premium frank that hit the spot. My wife had the Mac and cheese, which was tasty and cheesy without being overly heavy. All our food was brought to the spot we had chosen in the dining room by the fireplace. Our waiter was the owner, and when he brought our food to table we had a chance to chat and learn his story (see their webpage for details). The whole vibe was relaxed and easy, We'll be stopping in again - you should too.

Knightsville Tea Room Candlelight Evening Tea Menu

Last night, six of my friends and I had the candlelight tea at Knightsville Tea House. The food and tea service was delicious. They had wonderful selections in their gift shop section for some gifts for friends, and the decorations were beautiful and so festive for the holidays. My friends and I felt pampered and had lots of time to catch up with each other as we enjoyed the marvelous food and teas that were served to us. You can't go wrong with an outing here. Make sure to stop in. Make a reservation for you and your friends to have an experience you won't soon forget, with this Candlelight Tea Service.

The matcha was excellent and ended up being one of my favorites from our foodie week in Charleston. It was smooth, not bitter at all, and perfectly sweetened. So many places either make matcha too grassy or overload it with sweetener, but this one was really well balanced. I'd definitely stop by again the next time we're in town.

We ordered two drinks: * a gingerbread latte * a salted caramel apple latte Both were flavorful and enjoyable, especially for seasonal drinks. Total came out to about $15.22 with tax, which felt reasonable for two specialty lattes. The café itself is bright, modern, and welcoming, with plenty of seating for hanging out or getting some work done. Staff was friendly throughout our visit and even offered Luna a pup cup -- we don't do pup cups since they're not great for dogs' tummies, but the gesture was thoughtful and appreciated. Overall, a solid coffee spot with good service, a comfortable atmosphere, and tasty seasonal options. Would definitely stop back again.

We actually stumbled upon Luxe Bar & Bistro while planning to head downtown, but a bridge closure caused major traffic, so we decided to change plans and just find somewhere local to enjoy a holiday cocktail. After checking reviews online, Luxe Bar & Bistro stood out, so we decided to give it a try -- and we're so glad we did. They have a large outdoor space, but of course, it started to rain as soon as we arrived. Luckily, they also have a covered front patio with a few chairs, which worked out perfectly. We each ordered two cocktails. I started with Under the Mistletoe -- Tito's, house-made rosemary simple syrup, lemon juice, topped with soda ($10). This was hands down the most delicious holiday drink I've had so far this season. It was refreshing, perfectly balanced, and hit the spot. I also tried the seasonal special, a Pomegranate Cranberry Sangria ($10), which was equally good. My husband ordered the Tipsy Grinch-- Malibu rum, mango purée, blue curaçao, pineapple juice, and soda water ($9.50). He said it was sweet but not overly sweet and really enjoyed it. He also had the Dirty Snowman Martini with RumChata, Disaronno Amaretto, vanilla vodka, and a cinnamon sugar rim ($13). He substituted almond milk for the half-and-half, and it was still creamy and delicious. We also had a great conversation with Natalie and quickly realized we had a lot in common, especially when it comes to dogs and the importance of pet safety. I always love meeting a fellow dog mom who shares the same values. The service and ambiance were excellent, and the space was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We will 100% be back -- and next time, we definitely plan on trying the food.

Im writing this review based off my drink, the iced Matcha latte. I'm personally not a big fan of sweet drinks, and I found this matcha latte to be very sweet. That being said, I got to try a sip of the hot latte & it was delicious! Very aromatic & strong. Service was really friendly, & fast. The only downside was the drive through, which felt a little cramped.

That means location, customer service, quality product needs to be on point or someone else will do it better. Does Seven Brew meet all of the qualifications? Well, it meets a couple but I'll let you all be the judge. Located in a safe yet a challenging location to access during busy hours, I thought Seven Brew would have more cars lined up compared to other facilities I've tried in other states. However I'm not complaining as I was able to zip in and out; thus getting my large cup of coffee rather quickly. My first visit in SC, I modified their hot Sweet & Salty creation. Man, it was good! A medium roasted blend with a salted caramel and white chocolate breve but I added an extra shot of chocolate and added one shot of vanilla. The first sip the nose picks up on the coffee which immediately is replaced by a sweetness hitting the nose. Then the mouth senses the nice salt and caramel bathing the tongue and as it dissipates then white chocolate takes over, smoothing out the whole experience. Literally I couldn't wait for the next day as I wanted to try it again to certify my first visit's experience. This time I opted for a hot Smooth 7 which has white chocolate and Irish crème breve. This one had a subtle change in flavor but the Irish cream hits a little different. Instead of the salt being the first on the palate, the cream had that barely noticeable whiskey flavor elevating the experience then being once again rounded out by the white chocolate. To be honest I'm not sure which drink was better as they both offered subtle differences; equal in enjoyment. One aspect I didn't like was the fact I don't have their menu memorized. So, when I asked the very nice car attendant if they had a menu, she couldn't make a suggestion nor let me see a menu on her pad, therefore I had to use my phone. Think about that for a second, they don't have an easily accessible menu for the convince of the customer. It would be nice to know their base offerings in addition to a lot of flavored syrups to customize your flavor needs. To summarize on a Saturday morning after the 4th of July no cars thus a quick experience of great coffee. On busier days a lot more cars 7 Brew has horrible accessibility and do your research before pulling up.
