BEC on a plain bagel $10
    Rebecca A.

Love the Odd Duck Market! The Park Circle location is so popular it's always packed. Hence their success in opening a Summerville location and coming soon downtown location. The most recent time I was there, I ordered a breakfast and lunch sandwich. Plus got a sweet merch hat! The egg and cheese bagel was very basic, but the turkey sandwich was a crowd favorite! I cut both sandwiches into 4ths and shared them with friends. The goat cheese crema and roasted tomato spread elevates the turkey sammie to the next level!! So yummy. The bacon, egg, and cheese was fine, but for me it needed way more of the garlic aioli. And some pepper. And some hot sauce! Great place to support local.

Prosciutto Breakfast Sandwich: prosciutto, egg, arugula, aged white cheddar, calabrian chili mayo on fresh, toasty focaccia

Kicked off our day with these surprisingly amazing brunch sandwiches. We were so obsessed that we made sure to come back again before leaving the state. (That's how you know it's good.) The place is packed with cute, quirky decor that's fun to look at while eating. I loved it so much that I couldn't leave without buying a duck-themed mug (zero regrets.) The Prosciutto Breakfast Sandwich is a total flavor bomb, with the yummiest chili mayo layered onto fresh, perfectly toasty focaccia. Even though I'm usually not a sausage person, the Sausage Egg & Cheese in bialy easily won us over. That garlic aioli pulled everything together. The staff were sociable and friendly, which just added to the good vibes. There's ample parking and seating available, making this an easy stop for a tasty bite. Already dreaming about flying back for these two sammies!

Stopped by for lunch and got the chicken salad wrap. They have lots of gluten free and vegan options. They also have lots of beverages and snack options. Very clean place and friendly staff.

This place occupies a stretch of restaurants. It has a market element with a small selection of niche regional brands, some of which are well worth perusing. I came for lunch, and left with a takeout haul including a full-flavored chat, a large salad with diverse ingredients and a tempeh bagel sandwich. The sandwich was not large for the money, but tempeh is filling stuff and the flavors, including avocado and vegan garlic mayonnaise, combined well. My salad delivered a colorful accompaniment. Other than price for portion size, it was a good lunch and I was happy to have found this vegan-friendly option.

Loved this coffee shop. I met a friend here to plan a Bachelorette party. The staff was nice. The food and coffee was good. It was a bit crowded though.

16 oz hot mocha latte while waiting for my food

I had a couple of hours to burn today before picking up my son, so I took a drive to Park Circle to find a good place to hang out. I wasn't in the mood for beer this time, so I went into the Odd Duck Market since I enjoyed their coffee during my last visit. I ordered a large mocha latte and a buffalo chicken wrap. I was worried there wouldn't be any seats available, but there were a good handful of open spots for me to sit at (indoor & outdoor). As customer #9, the Nesting Duck (according to the card), my food and drink were brought to me. First came the coffee and a few minutes later, the wrap. Both were very good and exactly what I needed for a Sunday afternoon fix.

What a great little market! They truly have everything you could need. From the moment I approached the counter, the service was warm and welcoming. Just needed a quick snack so I grabbed their current specialty latte, the Teddy Graham Latte, and a piece of their house made focaccia with butter. Both are delicious. They have a lot of options for sandwiches and bakery items, as well as coffees and teas. They also have beer and wine! Plenty of space to work or just hang out inside and outside. Will be back here!

Drinks: Caramel latte, iced pumpkin spice cold brew with toasted marshmallow cold foam

Cute restaurant in Park Circle- we went for breakfast but I think they are open for happy hour in the evening. Their menu says they do breakfast and lunch all day. We ended up getting a caramel latte and a pumpkin spice cold brew with toasted marshmallow cold foam- I liked my cold brew drink- and it was aesthetically pleasing. I got the Sammie of the day "Honey Mustard Chicken Melt". It's usually served on ciabatta but they had run out and I got it on focaccia and it was delicious! I loved it! (Kind of happy they ran out of ciabatta). My friend got the breakfast wrap and said she enjoyed it. They have both inside and outdoor seating. You order at the counter and they bring the food and drinks out to you- unless you are carrying out. Slightly pricey for breakfast but I think in line with area prices!

I loved everything about this place, the decor, service and food were spot on. This cozy restaurant and market had many specialty food products and local wines for sale. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese on a cheese bagel and a homemade pop tart. Both were bursting with flavor. Everyone in my group enjoyed what they ordered, we are sad this place isn't closer to home.

Cool place. This place is like a coffee/sandwich shop meets local market. I tried the avocado toast. The toast was really yummy on sourdough bread and lightly garnished had pickled red onions. Also tried the chi tea - also good. The market sell a lot from local vendors and they also have local milk and organic meats available for purchase. They have both inside seating and outside seating.

Odd Duck continues to thrive and respond to what the local Park Circle crowd is looking for. The breakfast sandwiches are always fresh and made to order. I recently popped in trying to avoid a trip to the grocery store on my way home and found a large variety of frozen pastas and frozen entree options. The ravioli was excellent. You'll also find a delicious assortment of fresh bakery items many of which are gluten free. Coffee assortment is always delicious. Mocha latte is my go to. Be sure to pop in with a few minutes to browse. You won't be disappointed.

    Ranch Gordo Beans!!!

Ok so they sell Rancho Gordo Beans including my favorite yellow eye- try them!! I had wondered in for a healthy snack and didn't find what I was looking for

    Matcha latte
    Justin J.

I stopped in on a whim. Got a coconut cake (which they told me was baked by Saffron, a common theme in the Charleston area, and for good reason) and a matcha latte and some sodas. I have never had a matcha latte before but I've had plenty of matcha, and it was exactly what I expected it to be. Service was friendly and quick, and the cake was good like I expected. They have a variety of locally made items, and while I liked the assortment (they even had Sarah's Dumps, which I had a while back at a Yelp event and thought were great!), the prices on them were steep enough that I really thought twice about any of it, unfortunately. That was the only fly in the ointment in an otherwise fantastic experience. J.Ja

I ordered the fried pork chops with 2 sides. The pork chop breading was falling off and was kind of wet with the grease but it was edible. The mashed potatoes were cold but the taste itself was just weird in general, not sure if warming it up would have changed it. The gravy was sweet but the mashed potato had a strong maybe garlic flavor that did not balance out with the gravy. The baked beans had an off taste but was still edible. The sweet tea was great! Overall, maybe it was just a really bad day like the waitress told us before we ordered. I hope so because everything besides the food was good. We (my wife and I) visited Southern Roots in the Park Circle are, and we were not impressed. Service was good, whomever brought the "other part'" of our appetizer was apologetic at the same time she made exceptions (aka excuses). We sat outside on the patio, but that was antithetical. The patio was unkept. Cutting to the chase...food was acceptable and service was average. Considering my previous experience at another location, I would think twice about expectations.

The outdoor area is huge and inviting, with plenty of space to spread out and relax. We especially loved sinking into the comfortable rocking chairs, the perfect place to kick back with a drink in hand. The overhangs and fans kept everything cool and breezy, which made hanging outside even more enjoyable on a warm day. One of our favorite features was the outdoor ordering window. It's so convenient, especially if you're visiting with your pup--you never have to leave them behind just to grab another round. The whole place has a fun, welcoming vibe with great music setting the tone. While we didn't sample the food this time, it was definitely tempting, and it's nice to know it's available if you want to make an afternoon of it. Drink-wise, Commonhouse nails it. While beer is their specialty (and they have a solid selection), they also offer a frozen drink and a few seltzers for those who prefer something a little different. And for the pups? They've thought of that too, with outdoor water stations so your dog can stay refreshed right alongside you. All in all, it's a truly pet-friendly spot with a laid-back atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer.
