There is an entire wall of chilled beer, several shelves of wine, and most of the bottom shelf style liquors. I'm sure if I spend a little more time here I might find a special beverage or two. Beer, which I came in for had enough of a selection that I paused to consider. I could choose an IPA between Sierra Nevada, Deschutes, and King Street. They didn't, on the other hand have King Street's Hefe (my favorite hefe). I'd give the overall beer selection a solid B, while awarding the local (Alaska, NW) beer selection a C or C-. The place wasn't busy (on a Saturday night at 7) because the cashier was getting people in and out quickly.

Rich, creamy, perfectly balanced, and the prosciutto takes it to another level without overpowering the dish. I've also had their brunch, and the salmon with cream cheese and capers deserves a shoutout. The salmon is not dry (which is rare), and the bagel is toasted just right--not overly crunchy, just perfect. The outdoor seating is awesome, especially if you ride. This is easily one of the better spots to pull up on a motorcycle and enjoy a solid meal. Bonus points for the atmosphere. And the staff? Absolutely unreal--in the best way. Crazy friendly, welcoming, and they genuinely go out of their way to make you feel like part of their crew instead of just another customer. Great food, great vibes, great people. After sitting here for 10 minutes and seeing 4 friendly dogs and one MAGA hat, I knew the answer to my question: Yes. Great vibes here, all are welcome, even Anchorage yuppies like ourselves! They have a great selection of beers. You only see the same one or two options available in Anchorage, here, there are about a dozen. I had a great hazy IPA and a devastating Russian Imperial Stout. I also recharged my doggo meter. I need to get one of my own one of these days.

However, when I come in, have my selection at the counter and have told the person I have no one in the car with me (the last 3 people ahead of me were not even asked) and the person goes out to check to make sure...not once, not twice but on three separate occasions done by the SAME CLERK is rather annoying especially on the point that with the number of people ahead of me in the line, none were asked about their vehicle. If they have a rule about doing this from now on, make it like tobacco at Wal-Mart, DO IT TO EVERYONE don't pick and choose. Prices are not to bad and they are always stocked with a little of everything, but if you go and they think you're lying be ready to have your ID examined multiple times, your car checked and asked for a blood sample...just cause they can.

I was gifted the Acadian Rays (New England-style pilsner), Island Time (pink guava sour), Palmer-Weisse (Bavarian hefeweizen), coffee Russian imperial stout (limited release), and Spring Tingles (Belgian tripel) and let me just say...may you all find yourself with a friend who's willing to replace a few pairs of underwear (I assume) with some stellar local beer for you on their cross-country flight. Acadian Rays: A little hoppier than I normally go for, but also went down much easier than I was expecting. 8/10. Island Time: Sours are really hit or miss for me, but the sourness here was very...grounded? Definitely tasted more like the complex tartness of a good piece of fruit vs. sucking down 10 Warheads at once. It drinks almost like a cider. 8/10. Palmer-Weisse: Great for a lazy hazy summer day. Or a lazy day any time of year probably. Easy drinking like a hefe but with some personality. 9/10. Coffee Russian Imperial Stout: Strong and bready and roasty but not overwhelming. Cranked up my AC on a 90º day and felt like I was cozied up fireside at a snowed-in cabin in the wintry wilderness. 10/10. Spring Tingles: Perfect. TBH all were outstanding and the bread they use for French dip is very tasty. Fries were on point and the selection of merchandise was extensive, if pricey. I enjoyed all aspects of this dining experience. Hope to return if we have time in this trip!
