Before visiting here, I was curious. Is this place going to have more of a "Wasilla vibe" or more of a "Brewery vibe"? After sitting here for 10 minutes and seeing 4 friendly dogs and one MAGA hat, I knew the answer to my question: Yes. Great vibes here, all are welcome, even Anchorage yuppies like ourselves! They have a great selection of beers. You only see the same one or two options available in Anchorage, here, there are about a dozen. I had a great hazy IPA and a devastating Russian Imperial Stout. Never been much of a beer drinker but a total coffee addict. Just found the best of both worlds!! Bearpaw River Brewing Company makes a Mat Maid milk stout with coffee, milk and chocolate... it is Soooo delicious! Thank you Jenny behind the counter for being so helpful and fun! Definitely be back... get a new 64 oz growler filled for $17! Just $5 for the growler itself. Got a Frontiersman glass for $10 with any beer - keep the glass! Good service Good food , the ambiance ok, The booth seating a little tight if you have a group, we had to move to a table.

They give free samples on beer which is awesome for someone like me, who likes to try new beers. They had a lovely hostess who handles the walk up ordering system, but I felt as if I was just sitting in a shipping container with no other life. Blue and gray with nothing to please the eye. If you are looking for a fun and remembering experience this might not be the place to go. Again great people but just Meh read more

Love this place! We live close by and visit Bearpaw River Brewery at least once a week. Very friendly, great vibe clean, service is exceptional. The stone fire pizza is excellent! Great menu of delicious combinations. My all time favorite is "Pear, bacon blue" paired with a "green apple cran" salad and a Railroad.. who could ask for anything more? The beer was fine, but as far as COVID precautions went, there weren't any but a bottle of hand sanitizer at the door. No social distancing, no masks required (no one was wearing one, either customers or the employee pouring beer) and no restrictions on how many could be in the establishment. I had, until now, been pretty impressed with Anchorage as far as COVID precautions and have been enjoying eating out again, but this place blew it. I guess that's the difference between Anchorage and an outlying town like Wasilla. Won't be returning again until we're out of this pandemic. read more

Swung in for a flight. I've had a couple of their beers before, and a trip to Wasilla gave me the excuse needed to try a few more. The tap room is very bright, lots of natural light, clean, still very new, a small but well aquatinted selection of merch, and an impressive tap list. The beers were tasty, and the service was quick. I look forward to returning in the future to see how well it's holding up. All in all, it was nice but nothing to write home about. Though I am SO glad Wasilla has a decent brewery now. Bearpaw is quickly becoming one of my favorite local breweries. The quality of their canned offerings has been very high. With that in mind, I wanted to visit the source! I wasn't disappointed. They have a nice selection of favorites and tasting room only offerings. The location is a little out of the way, but once you find it and enter, you are greeted with a cozy and beautiful drinking spot. My friend and I each grabbed a flight and the prices were great. The available canned offerings were limited to the Frontiersman IPA and Mat Maid stout, so I didn't grab anything to go this time. Looking forward to my next visit. read more

Great local brewery. I've come in a few times since their opening and love seeing all the changes as they find ways to make the tap room a real community environment. All the beers I have had a quality brews, my favorite is the mat maid stout. Highly recommend visiting this brewery if you're making your way through Wasilla. read more
