This cute little yarn store has very high quality yarn. The customer service is amazing. The overall atmosphere in this place is like you are going over to your grandmothers to pick up some yarn. At the top of my list for wonderful yarn store experiences! Although not as massive as some shops, the selection of yarns is carefully curated. There's lots to appeal for a wide variety of projects. Even more critically, the owner here has built a warm and welcoming community. The table near the front door was full of busy knitters and I sadly expected to get the "outsider stare". Instead I was welcomed with smiles and Marney, the owner, immediately greeted me and asked if there was anything she could help with. When I said I just wanted to look around she made me feel really comfortable. And once I selected some yarn she was super helpful about figuring out the project I had in mind. I feel like this kind of warmth deserves a special call-out because all too often I haven't been made to feel welcome in unfamiliar yarn shops. I stopped in on a whim since my husband had spotted the shop and knew my love for crochet. I figured I'd see what selection of yarns were offered. I was welcomed immediately by Ruth and 2 patrons who were working in their own projects. Ruth asked if I knew how to knit and I was embarrassed to say I didn't. She told me they offered classes. I started knitting a few years back and totally fell in love with it. I use to live in Miami and frequented a very nice and friendly Knitting store there. Since I moved to central Florida 2 years ago I've been searching for a knitting store to go to. The closest stores to me are at least 35 min. away so it took me sometime to get organized, research and decide on which one to try. After reading nothing but wonderful reviews about this store I decided to visit it. Wonderful place!!! Friendly people. The reviews are all right. I will be back! I only wish it was a bit closer. I absolutely love Knit!. Marney, the owner, is the sweetest. If you're a beginner knitter, go here versus Sip N' Knit. You'll be treated way better. Marney is always willing to help you out with a pattern or just to talk to you. I bought $100 worth of yarn to make shawls for my bridesmaids and she ended up giving me a free copy of Interweave Knits magazine. The only downside about Knit! is the selection of yarn. Great little shop! Amanda W. is right, the yarn selection is kinda small, and it tends toward the pricey end of the spectrum, but it's good stuff. High-quality natural yarns, and a great selection of lighter weights. Marney is delightful - as she was putting my yarn into a ball she let me know she'd be glad to help if I ever hit a snag in a pattern, because between her and the other customers there will be someone to help. And really, it looks like the shop is mostly so she can have a place to knit with her friends - there is a table in the front and a couch in the back, and there were people in both places knitting and chatting. Considering that the yarns are all pretty nice stuff, this probably isn't the place to go if you're trying to make something on the cheap. But if you want yarn for a nice project, Knit! is a great place to look. And if you're looking for some help and encouragement as you work, definitely stop in. read more

I love this shop! I have only been there on Saturdays and it feels very warm and inviting as soon as you enter the store from all of the other women who are there knitting. They always have such beautiful finished projects hanging around the store, also. The women who own it are always so helpful and friendly and will get you set up for whatever project you are working on. For example, today I went in looking for yarn to make a baby blanket. She showed me the best yarns for the job and then even made sure I had a pattern and understood it before I left. So sweet! Even though it is a pretty small store, I am always amazed at the selection. I can't imagine anyone would have trouble finding whatever yarn they are looking for to fit any specific project. I took a sock class here and would highly recommend their classes if you are new to knitting or if you have been knitting for a while but want to try something new. read more

I started going to Knit about 8 years ago and I love this place, not only the owners Marney and Ruth are very sweet and willing to help you but the group of people going to the shop 2 or 3 times a week to spend few hours each time to knit are also very nice, so it makes your visit very relaxing. I had the opportunity of visiting 7 others shops recently, all of them in Central Florida and I found out the Marney prices are much better and yes, some of those shops have a larger selection but I wouldn't bother to spend my time knitting with those yarns. I would like to make a comment about what Nicole E. says. All of the shops I visited have a table and couches for customer to sit down and knit, is not that she have a place to knit with her friends.
