My first introduction to this shop was this past weekend for a class. I signed up through Facebook on a post that said 2-5pm. I arrived 15 minutes early to find out the class had started at 1pm. What?! I was not alone in arriving for a 2pm start time. No apologies even when I pulled up the post showing 2-5pm. Maybe it's petty, but I won't be back. What a great find! This yarn shop has a huge selection of yarn in every weight and color , including a couple of brands I had not seen before. From outside, the size of the store is a bit deceiving -- it is narrow but deep. Lots of good stuff in a small space! Prices are competitive with what I've seen in other stores and online. Maurine is knowledgeable and very helpful and her hand-dyed yarns are gorgeous! I wish I lived closer so I could join in her Saturday morning get-togethers. What a terrific yarn shop!! The selection of yarn and spinning fibers is absolutely wonderful. There are a couple of spinning wheels for sale, too. We were in Lebanon on business so stopped in here; because the shop was a yarn/fiber magnet for me. Everything is well laid out, and there's plenty of room to wander around, as well. Honest to goodness: BEST, FRIENDLIEST SERVICE EVER!! I went in there out of curiosity, because one can never have too many DIY projects going on at once. The owner, Maurine, is an absolute character. I was giggling as I followed her around the shoppe! She helped me find not only one project, but two!! She and her husband raise Alpacas and spin yarn RIGHT THERE IN THE STORE! If you are a knitter (hope that is the correct term...I'm a hooker ;) ) you have to stop in and look at all of the bamboo needles she has. GORGEOUS!!! I will for sure be returning...most likely before either of these projects ever near completion! read more
