The lady behind the counter was on the phone. After she hung up I was still browsing through the sale fabric. She didn't acknowledge me at all even though we were about 3 feet apart. They have a wonderful selection of quilting fabric. I was impressed by how much fabric there was at a sewing & vacuum store. There's also notions and some quilting books. The other woman working there wasn't friendly either. Even when I brought up my fabric to be cut, I got a chilly reception from the first lady by the front door.

I chose some really nice room/linen spray with a scent profile called Berry Balsam, which smells fantastic. I was expecting a far too overpowering botanical, since balsam is a pretty strong smell, but this is a great balance. I also got some coasters, really cute, that are crochet and they're shaped like sunflowers. Prices were so reasonable. You'll find lots of fun finds here, for yourself or gifts for others.

As many of you know, furniture is a long-term investment, and the shopping experience should come with attentive, knowledgeable staff who help guide you through that process. Unfortunately, that wasn't our experience. From the moment we walked in, we felt more observed than welcomed. One employee made eye contact and immediately turned away, and as we continued browsing--essentially left to "prospect" on our own--there was little effort to engage or assist us. On our way out, another staff member offered a brief hello but never followed up to ask if we needed help. When you're making a significant purchase like furniture, customer service matters just as much as the product. Sadly, this visit left us feeling overlooked rather than valued. We later found our couch at another location and will receive it in 30 to 60 days due to the customization we requested. We are happy to have found a place that truly understood what we were looking for our home.

I discussed in detail the changes I wanted in my reupholstered sofa with the actual staff who would be doing the work, such as removal of the buttons and welt, the type of stitching, and added padding. They also cautioned me about potential drawbacks of features that I proposed. I was so pleased with Cherry Hill's reupholstery work on my sofa that I took my ottoman in a week later. I've received several favorable comments from friends about how great my sofa looks.
