Let. Me. Tell. You. I have been begging, BEGGING, my husband to take me to Knob Hill. Finally during a Spartan basketball game we had typical cruddy service and it was the perfect time to watch the game at zee bar! Walked in and was blown away. A clean, well lit, FRIENDLY atmosphere. This place is 100% a Sparty bar so leave your big M merch at home. The food was amazing. Loved my onion rings and chicken tenders. They had ample seating and high chairs for the littles. I told our server/bartender I would be needing a broom at the end of our meal so I could sweep up any cheerios my little one dropped. She went out of her way to sweep them up for me after I insisted. This bar is SO family friendly and I cannot wait to be back. We were seated next to family members of the owner and they were just as delightful. We talked chickens, mullets and raising kids. Great dive bar. Their pizzas and burgers are very good and you can get a 24 ounce beer for about $3.50 (granted, that's shitty Miller Lite, but that's my kind of beer)! They also have some craft stuff on tap, for all you fancy people. :) read more

It might look like a hole in the wall dive bar, and it probably is, but it's got friendly people, great service, and really really good pizza. (Just don't let your wife forget the leftover box in the truck overnight). The beer selection is reasonable and even the standard bar food is pretty his. It might not seem like it but it's a solid pick when you don't want to cook. Don't judge a bar by its cover, out something like that. read more

First off I have to say that I went to two other establishments before I landed here. I travel a lot and find myself looking for places that treat people as neighbors and usual customers. This is exactly what I got when I walked in, they didn't know me from Adam, yet they treated me like I had been coming there for years. I enjoyed the owner and staff so much I brought 12 other people with me the next night. We ordered Pizza and pitchers, the Pizza was wonderful and the staff was great. My mother picked up pizza when I was visiting, everyone agreed the one pizza tasted like green olives despite not ordering olives, and not having olives on it (perhaps a mistake was made and they were picked off?)
