My dentist of choice for almost 20 years. Professional, friendly, and the best staff anyone could ask for.

I have moved around a good bit over the past 10 years and have had the (dis)pleasure of having had many different dentists.

From the start, the staff in the front promptly returned my call to set up an appointment. The hygienist, Hannah was so lovely. She had the space set up in a cozy manner with lamps and gentle music playing. Throughout each step she was communicative, careful, and attentive. Then, Dr. Patel arrived and continued to provide the same level of compassion and attentiveness. I would highly recommend this practice who anyone who has dentist appointment apprehensive like I did in the past.

He takes time to explain, and is happy to pause and take a break if needed. Gillespie is the exact opposite of this. He threatens underage patients with being held down, does not adhere to patients request for the level of numbing, and does not seem to understand the meaning of consent. I requested no numbing for a tooth being pulled - he pulled the majority of the tooth (the remainder of which later was flicked out by another dentist who didn't think I needed numbing at all), and proceeded to be emotionally/verbally abusive trying to force me into an injection. I will never return to this office, and I certainly would never dream of bringing my children here. If you're looking for a kind and decent dentist, steer clear of this office.

Going to the dentist is a necessary evil, right? You go and hope you leave with no trauma and all…read moreyour teeth and maybe a bag with a toothbrush and some floss you'll only use when you have popcorn in your teeth. Well, welcome to the new dental order. Platt Dental Studio is easily the most wonderful dental care experience I've had since I first got teeth. Exceptionally friendly service from the front door to the chair and back. Hyper clean office space with a lot of cool new technology (you want to see some weird pics of your mouth? They got 'em). There's an overall calmness to the space that feels almost spa-like and belies the reality of what all those tools are going to do to your chompers. If you need a dentist, call them.

I had been putting off his dental care for longer than I should have because I myself was anxious as to how he would react to the experience. Ron and I had spent decades in the health care field ourselves, and after visiting Dr. Platt's practice as a patient myself, I knew that my best friend and partner of over 50 years would be safe in their care. I was not wrong. Ron has been twice now to Dr. Platt's office and I am immensely satisfied and grateful for the professionalism, patience and kindness that has been shown. Anyone who has a relative or friend who has a special need for special attention and sweetness, I Strongly recommend Dr. Platt and her professional, yet delightful staff."

I can only say great things about Biltmore Avenue Family Dentistry after some unusual experiences…read more I was at patient there for several years and I have relatively good teeth and other than needing regular tartar removal, my relationship was positive but routine before Hurricane Helene. I have been diagnosed with a progressive medical condition and decided to leave the area following the hurricane and was out of state for multiple months. During the period prior to returning to BAFD in late November or early December 2025, I saw two other dentists. At the time I returned to BAFD, I had a recommendation that I needed to redo all four of my front caps because I supposedly had an infection under all four teeth. I did not tell the dentist, Dr Datla, what the recommendation was as I was suspicious after high prices from the other dentist and a friend asking me "why aren't you taking an antibiotic if you have an infection under all four teeth?" and wanted an unbiased second opinion. Dr. Datla is a dentist and a periodontist, so she certainly was going to not miss an "infection". Guess what? No infection and no recommendation to replace the crowns! I also want to mention that I had a lot going on in my life and plenty of dental benefits that were going to expire at the end of December. The staff was so accommodating in getting me scheduled immediately and everyone was incredibly warm and welcoming. After my bad experience with another dentist, I assure you it felt especially wonderful. I can fully recommend Biltmore Avenue Family Dentistry as being a warm and inviting place and as having honest professionalism in every area.

This was one of only a couple dentistry practices in the region that accepted Medicaid & they knew it, yet still made this money hungry decision putting so many young people in struggling families at risk of not being able to get the dental care they need. SHAME ON THIS PRACTICE!!! I hope every bit of karma comes back on y'all because what you've done is awful & heartless.

Hello, My 12 year…read moreold son Leo had three teeth extracted today because his baby teeth had to make way for the permanent ones which were coming in. The fact that parents are not allowed to go in to the procedure areas with their children who are, I believe as it was told to me, older then 4 years of age seems rather harsh and unusual. About forty minutes later my son, who at times can be over sensitive but is very smart and practical, left the procedure shaking and in tears. He stated that the staff was "Critical and mean" and that they embarrassed him in front of others when he began to express trepidation and fear. I work in emergency medicine and deal with the gamut of people who in the realm of the unknown often express fear and anxiety and this is not how a professional, adult or human should respond and conduct themselves. radix

Shes just turned four and we've never had to leave her alone, even for her MRIs or when she saw an Anesthesiologist. But here apparently they don't allow parents to comfort their children. My daughter was made to wait alone in the room. She was fine but the dentist took forever so she got over it. By the time the dentist made it back, she no longer wanted to cooperate and they didn't allow us to come in and communicate with her to help her cooperate. Needless to say, they said we should fine a new dentist, and I totally agree! Fk this place. Just look at the reviews. The reviews speak for themself. They're one star for a reason.
