Very, very poor service from the WOW people at Knology. Since Hurricane Irma service has been out in this area. The service isn't fixed yet - BUT they'll take your money and hook you up to...nothing that works ! There is a new service installer next door now - 18 September 1429 hrs and neighbors have been yelling at the guy to FIX THE SERVICE rather than trying to add customers to a service that doesn't work... WOW is the only provider that has not restored service. If you call the Columbus Knology office, you get a recording to....DONATE TO THE RED CROSS ! The selfsame Red Cross that tried to divert 9/11 donations to cover other expenses. Remember that ? They got royally jumped on for that. read more

You may not realize how lucky you are to get to choose your cable company. Many places its a choice between one cable co and one or 2 dish networks. By virtue of choice alone we were happy with WOW. We opted for wireless Internet service only instead of traditional phone-cable-Internet packages. (The only thing we missed at all was sports. Definitely did NOT miss commercials!) WOW was super easy to work with. Direct pay was simple to set up and monitor for our monthly bill. All employees from the lady answering phones to the field tech installing our router to the face-to-face rep at the customer service desk were nothing but polite and accommodating. They may not be the biggest "guy" in town, but if you are looking for fair pricing and pleasant folks, I highly recommend WOW. read more

Worst company ever. Customer service is rude. The Internet pricing is a major rip off make sure to ask about how many megabytes you are getting for your $. They will decide that your disconnect date isn't what they want and change the date even though you called and disconnected prior to the date and have had another service for over a month. They will charge you for the month you had the service disconnected and say it's legit when you call and inquire about the charges. About their service Internet is way over priced slow and always cuts out. Don't even bother if you stream Netflix or play video games. Cable is okay not much variety of channels for what your paying for. Service does have alot of interruptions. I had the company for over a year due to the fact that it was the only company that serviced my area so glad to have moved from there and now have great service with another provider... Bottom line if your thinking about getting Wow just look at what they really offer you and be warned of the crappy service. read more

I had Mediacom's top tier cable and internet service for two years and they just weren't reliable on internet service so I switched to Wow. Wow is known in the area to be more reliable for internet, but OMG the prices. It is about $50 more per month than Mediacom for the same services. It may not appear to be that much at first glance but after they nickel and dime you to death with rentals you will see it--$2 per month for small HD boxes and $5 per month for service plan and $10 per month for another kind of HD box. read more

Get two tin cans and some string... I moved into a new home in Columbus Georgia 24 days ago. We bundled internet, cable and phone with Knology because they were the cheapest in our area. The internet has failed once, and many of the HD channels for which we paid extra are often so pixelated that they can't be watched, but the real problem is with the PHONES. (You know, those things that have been around for more than a century?) In a little over three weeks, our phones have gone out THIRTEEN TIMES! These outages have lasted anywhere from a few hours to a full day and night. In every case, when I have called (thank goodness my cell phone is dependable) to report the problem, the rep has promised to send someone out in a few hours or days. The techs generally show up on time, but in each case, by then the phone is working again. So they just express great sympathy but say they cannot do anything while the phone is working. Alexander Graham Bell didn't have this much trouble making a phone call! If Knology would simply get someone here in a reasonable time, they MIGHT actually be able to do something to fix this problem. (Then again, maybe not; when I called yesterday for the THIRD time, the rep said HER system was down.) I think the worst part is that while you're on hold trying to get to a rep, having FINALLY waded through the menu (which I now have memorized) part of the recorded propaganda they play is "at Knology we strive to fix things before the customer even knows there's a problem." YEAH, RIGHT. Just grab that knife in my back and give it a big ol' twist! News flash for Knology's P.R. department: people who are calling to report a problem for the tenth time are NOT in the mood to hear how "wonderful" and "dependable" your service is. I don't give a damn what goal you "strive" for if you're not actually achieving it. I cannot WAIT to get switched over to AT&T tomorrow. It'll cost more, but at least maybe it'll actually work. I cannot report on there cable or other service , but what i can say is that if you encounter email here that starts in redsteel@ i feel bad for you. i inquired about something for sale and was cussed out , told to go f my mom , that i was a sorry SOB , amongst other things. Knology customer service was better, after it was bought by WOW it became worst, they are rude, not helpful but they advertise saying they are customer friendly.In most of apartment complexes, people don't have other choices, they have kind of monopoly here. read more

If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. We are absolutely disgusted with Wow - Knology's services. We initially had cable bundled with internet. Every other day our cable would randomly go to a black screen and we would have to call them to get the signal back every time. The time to get it back ranged from 5 minutes to 1 hour depending on how many times we had to try to get them to initiate a new signal. As if this weren't enough, On Demand services only worked about 25% of the time, skipping, or freezing regardless of what type of program you are attempting to load. This occurred with paid programs as well as their free ones. After about 60 occurrences of the cable "losing signal" within a 6 month period, we decided to cancel the cable services and continue our internet service with them, as we had not experienced any issues with their internet... YET. We negotiated a price around $30/month for internet, and to our surprise we received a $107.20 bill the very next month. We called immediately to find out what miscommunication occurred, and they assured me that the bill had been released before they had a chance to change it, and we would be credited the remaining amount (after the $30 deduction was taken) to our account. The following month we were billed an additional $13.45. Confused, we called again and were immediately met with attitude and a completely outrageous argument. They just kept repeating that they "bill the month in advance", which made no sense at all because they went on to explain that we were being billed for the previous month's upgraded internet charges (we did not at any point upgrade internet or any other services). This conversation ended abruptly when we became too frustrated to continue arguing with them. We called back two weeks later, and were met with a completely different explanation. At this point they were arguing that the $30 we were promised would be the final price after taxes and fees, was in fact the internet price alone, without taxes, fees, internet service fees or equipment charges. At this point we rechecked our bill, referencing to the previous month and found that they had changed our "upgraded cable" cost from $10 to $30, and tacked on a previously absent "wireless modem" charge of $25 on top of our previous $10 modem charge which existed in previous months. Needless to say, we are completely disgusted with these phantom charges for services and equipment we have never received or even heard of. WOW is a perfect name for this company... They will WOW you with their shady customer service, terrible interpersonal skills and general lack of concern for your problems which they created in the first place. Do yourself a favor and pass on these thieves if you have any other options. read more

I attempted to return rather expensive looking equipment attached to my home. I spoke with Joshua R. and was given a 'case number'. Apparently a technician appeared at my home, could not read the large "Knology sticker and noted everything belonged to AT&T. In trying to correct this error, I had to deal with an impossible phone tree and two uncooperative 'customer service' persons.
