My daughter went here for a year until I went on maternity leave with her brother, and I intend to send both of my kids there when I return to work. The staff are very friendly and clearly care about the children that are in there care. They had put me at ease since the first day that I dropped my almost one year old daughter off upon my return to work. I really appreciate that they have a clear routine and schedule, and my daughter seemed to had learned something new every day. I feel that she has been socialized well, and being at the daycare has brought out her best qualities. The facility itself could use a few upgrades, but it is kept very clean, and it isn't lacking anything that the kids really need. I love that my daughter brought home a lot of crafts, and if I ever had to pick her up early, I would frequently walk in on the staff singing and dancing with the kids, or reading them interactive stories. My daughter would run in and hug the staff who greeted her warmly every morning when I dropped her off, and she easily made friends there too. It was very hard for me to take my daughter away from Bambi, and I am looking forward to having her return there.

I'd already taken my son to several lakes and even the ocean. He loves water. She charges 600 for four weekly 10- min classes which is triple what is charged elsewhere Money was no object as we thought we were doing the right thing Came first session. It's was a tiny pool with murky water in a dingy room. Kids before us cried nonstop, before hitting the pool, while in the pool and after which was the FIRST red flag we missed. We had already taken our son to poop where kids enjoyed learning how to swim and the process. It was our son to enter the water. He wasn't crying as he had no idea what was about to happen neither did we. Holly Murray ( the psychopathic so- called instructor) took him from me and turned around so we could not see his face. That was the SECOND red flag we missed. 2 minutes in, our 7 month old started vomiting crying. She put the blame on us having fled him an hour before. We had no idea what happened as we could not see what she was doing with him. Come the second session, he was crying nonstop along with other kids before and after his class. Just imagine the distressing scene. My wife and I had had a chat with her and reassured that it's not a big deal and all kids cry and eventually he will learn swimming. ( with an attitude of course) We decided to give the whole thing two weeks( 8 sessions) to see if things change. The second week , Monday I managed to see what see does in the water. Imagine being helpless in the water swallowing water nonstop and going through the feeling of drawing for 10 min. Had I seen that scene I would have stopped the whole thing right away. He was suffering so much that she herself cut the 5th session short ( I have everything recorded and DOCUMENTED) That was the last straw. We went home sensing not being right. I immediately contacted her asked to discontinue the class and get a refund. She replied I can only give you half refund minus a 50 dollar administration fee IF she can find a replacement for our son to fill the slot. If read the article above, you realize that she , as she quotes she receives 100 calls from parents asking for a spot in her classes And yet she cannot find a replacement! Food for thoughts I felt responsible to write this review, as a parent and human being. Don't allow this psychopathic woman , Holly Murray, experiment on your child hoping that he/she might float for 5 seconds while being tortured and going through the dreadful feeling and experience of drawing and swallowing poop water. Is that how we learned how to swim? Do you really want your child to develop lifetime phobias and complexes? My daughter has been with their developmental team for 2 years…read more They must be doing something right because she wants "to be a gymnast when she grows up" and 3 hour training sessions twice a week are fun and challenging at the same time. Yes, there is high coach turnover (which I'm sure is common everywhere), some have been better than others, but she has learned from all of them and they all helped her grow in different ways. The leadership team has been very accommodating to all our needs and suggestions. Would highly recommend!

Summit teaches students the value of hard work, practice and dedication. Students quickly learn that being invited to test for a new belt is an honour and privilege, that has to be earned. The Summit team has high standards and runs a good quality martial arts program. I am genuinely impressed with the way that Master Morris, and all of the instructors, take the time to explain concepts to students at an age appropriate level. Instructors encourage, coach and mentor students inside the gym; but also teach them how to apply the 5 tenets of tae kwon do (courtesy, integrity, perseverance, set control and indomitable spirit) to their everyday lives. Students are all treated equally, fairly and with respect. The cost of classes is quite reasonable, when compared to other activities. I have taken into consideration that tae kwon do is twice a week, and students are learning so much more than just a sport. In addition, the class schedule is flexible, allowing students to attend the most convenient classes. I would happily recommend Summit Martial Arts to anyone looking to learn tae kwon do.

After about 4 months at the school I…read morementioned to the head of the school that one of my partners was being too rough and not careful enough (this partner has an extensive reputation at the club for exactly that). The head said it was my fault for going too hard. I calmly and quietly spoke to him again later and explained to him that I was really going easy and pointed out that I had significant bruises while my partner did not. I also raised that it was a safety concern that he was blaming me and not taking me seriously. I was then suspended for bringing up my safety concerns. I expected to get bruises. I was even proud to get bruises. I did not expect to be suspended for mentioning that something was unsafe.

Neuro-Divergent kids need not apply…read more If I were rating Element on the Karate program alone they would get five stars: the instructors are fantastic. They are able to run diverse classes where participants are different ages and abilities, and somehow still make themselves available before or after class if anyone needs to talk to them. The other instructors could learn a lot from the Karate instructors. My 9 year old child has ADHD and she normally brings a ton of energy and enthusiasm to class. She also bring defiance and outbursts if she doesn't understand something or is frustrated. Apparently these outbursts were happening frequently in classes other than Karate, but I had no idea until one by one the other instructors kicked her out of their classes. When 5 Elements became Element the new ownership heavily discouraged parents from remaining on the premises so I was not in the habit of staying during class. There was no way for me to know my daughter's behaviour was becoming a bigger and bigger problem until I was told she was not welcome in first Jujitsu, then Boxing and finally Muay Thai. After the first ban we did a round of occupational therapy to help my daughter control her outbursts and have been practising the techniques ever since. I thought all was well until the second two bans were issued. Again, I did not know her behaviour was still a problem because nobody told me. By the time the instructors bothered to talk to me they were so upset that they were unwilling to work together and find a solution; they instead chose to ban my daughter. Since most of the classes were no longer available to my daughter we decided to end her membership. Technically they should have charged me, since we had committed to a year, but they waived the fees without a fight. This all went down right around billing time, but they also refunded the money for the upcoming month even though it should have been too late. This could be interpreted either as excellent customer service or the desire to get my daughter out of the dojo before I had the chance to tell the other parents how we were treated. If you are an adult, or if your child is only interested in Karate, you will do fine here. If you have an ND child interested in a variety of disciplines I would recommend you keep looking.
