Pretty solid place. Kitchen looks to wrap up around 11pm to 12 am with normal draft, bottle beer and full bar available until 2am. Stopped there after work and was able to grab a chicken finger basket before the fryer shutdown for the night. Pretty decent and would like to stop for lunch sometime. The only thing I can even say about the food is that I didn't try it -- and thank God for that, because after what I went through, I wouldn't want to give them a single dime of business. Let me be absolutely clear: this place might as well hang a sign out front that says "Whites Only." The energy, the glares, the outright hostility -- all of it screams you're not welcome here. If you're Black, do yourself a favor and stay far, far away. From the moment I walked in, every face turned toward me like I had just crashed their family reunion -- the Brady Bunch and their extended Confederate cousins all rolled into one. She went out of her way to make me feel invisible and unwanted, acting like my presence alone ruined her day. She didn't serve with attitude; she served disrespect. This is my watering hole from way back! They are like family at this point!!! We have been through the pandemic and a lot of craziness. They stay open until 2am which a lot bars no longer do around here. Friday and Saturday there is always a dj and never a cover. They run weekly specials and specials for football nights. This is my local favorite dive bar. read more

Ugh. Clearly posted on the door "this is a smoking bar". I get it. But JC it was like walking into a smoke pit. Horrible. And if you ain't local don't expect to be waited on. When I finally got served my drink was stout, thus the 2 stars vs 1 star. Dang this place is busy every time we drove by it! We were in desperate need of a drink, so we came in here one thursday night. A good mix of people were here..couples, singles, old people...what a place. There were a few big screen tv's and a couple pool tables, and lots of high tables to sit at. They also had a kitchen which serves, from what I heard, good soft tacos??? They were like 75 cents or something but it was 1 am so no time to try one. One bad thing for me, probably good for the majority of people: Public Smoking Allowed. Yuck, my clothes and hair were soooo gnarly smelling. I hate having to wash my hair everyday cuz it's so long, and this place made me shampoo twice in one cycle. Anyways, have fun and be safe! read more

The DJ the other night was cool, took requests and played them fast... even made a special shout out to my friend for her birthday. On Saturday nights they have a POLE DANCING COMPETITION... That's right ladies... it's THAT type of place where any self respecting woman can go and get her "groove thang" going on a pole. Solid 3 stars. Yes divey, but not a "redneck bar". I've been in redneck bars and this is not at that level ( I went in wearing a suit without the jacket and no issues). I've been here many times as I live within walking distance. This is a great place for something quick to drink which is why I am leaving this review now instead of previous times. You see, I stopped in here briefly because I wanted a drink, I wanted a Jolly Ranger drink. If you haven't had one, I suggest you try. Anyway, I ordered 1 drink for me and 1 for someone else. We stayed for probably a half an hour before we had to leave again. I didn't tip!!!! Partially because the other drink I ordered wasn't made right, in fact the bartender stated she wasn't even sure if she was doing it right. She wasn't but we didn't complain or even make a face. We paid for both drinks and left but might i remind you, I didn't tip!!! Oh the horror!!! As we were walking out, I raised my hand to her and said "thank you and good bye". She smiled and said thank you back. However we weren't quite out of the door yet when I heard her tell another patron, "yeah, thanks for nothing, they didn't even tip". Beer was nice and cold. I got buffalo tenders and gravy fries. Tenders weren't Buffaloy and gravy sucked. Needs more thickening.

Great little bar, and the food menu is wonderful! Great food specials every week and homemade soups. I find myself here usually 1-2x month. Owners are super nice people and drink prices are reasonable. Only thing that would make it 5 star would be to remove smoking. read more

In all fairness, the bar seems better now that the previous owner has left. Don't expect a coaster with your beer.

Aside from being the type of bar that has you smelling like a cigarette after 3 minutes of being there, my biggest issue with Knotty Pine is the crowd. They very clearly have their "regulars" and when an outsider walks through the door, you are definitely aware of your status. That happened to me twice with white friends. When I brought my black boyfriend, the tension and racism was tangible. When I went to order my drink, the bartender asked if I was going to want a second one, and basically forced me to order 2 drinks at once and double fist it, allowing my 2nd drink to get watery, so she could close out my tab right away. They couldn't get us out fast enough. It was the most uncomfortable public experience I've ever had. read more
