    Spring Rolls

Fun atmosphere and great food! We went on a Sunday evening and were seated right away. There was a slight sticky spot on the table, so, I asked and the waitress wiped it up. I liked the little fried wontons you get to start! Then we had spring rolls as an appetizer- eh, kind of boring, but fine - then I had Tonkotsu Ramen for my main meal and it was good! Overall, fun place.

First thing you notice when you walk in is the setting. The decoration is super up to par and if you're an anime fan like myself then this is some place you would thoroughly enjoy. The staff is very nice, the older ladies are super pretty and don't rush you at all!! The wait is never too long and the kitchen doesn't ever seem to be too backed up or off their game. The food is amazing, super high quality, flavors impeccable, meat tender, so fresh. If I could, I'd give this place 6 stars. For a newcomer I recommend the Curry Ramen & the Pork Bites!!!

Have been here a couple of times and both visits enjoyed the food and service. Tried the Shrimp rice noodle pho and loved it great flavor. Next visit did the Ramen with steak instead of pork belly (fat) and enjoyed it as well. Service both times was friendly and prompt. I have moved this place up to my top of my list for great food in Bloomington Normal

Had a take out order a few days after opening and then returned for dine in experience. Food was delicious and prepared well. Portion sizes were as expected and the little bowl of fried wonton strips were a nice touch while waiting for our food. The interior is welcoming and cute however there is a weird musty/sour smell in the back dining area. Smelled like a dirty mop head or sour rags were used to clean. Overall good experience and great addition to this side of BloNo.

I had Gen. Tso's chicken. It was AWFUL! It tasted fishy and the sauce tasted like orange chicken sauce with red pepper flakes.

Service bad. Ridiculously long wait time for food. Food portions were bad. I like anime.

Went here for lunch last weekend and had some delicious ramen! I got the Blade Runner, mild, but it…read morestill had a little kick, and my friend got the vegetarian, and both were excellent! The food came out fast and hot, there was ample seating and parking, and really it's all about the food! The ambiance is a little... stale, but the food more than makes up for it! I also didn't love the music they had going, but I still won't lower my five-star rating! Ha!

First off, the taste levels this place cranks out are quite impressive in seemingly everything they…read moredo from the egg rolls, to the rice and poke bowls, to the gourmet sammiches that they tackle - like fried/buffalo/Nashville chicken, takes on bahn mi and even Cajun and catfish! That said I've now tried three different and creative takes on ramen here and have liked each one more than the last - making it the real star of the show here. First it was the Chicago-style Italian beef with giardineira, then the spicy beef birria style, then my surprise fave, the Mega City bowl with chicken curry, peanuts and 3 potsticker dumplings on top! The service is fast and efficient in a venue (the back half of the VFW) that clearly lacks ambiance. The prices are admittedly a bit steep (except for domestics at the back bar) but you will be blown away by the flavors and you certainly won't walk away hungry. My only other advice....try not to ruin the shirt you have on when you go, in fact you might care to bring or fashion a bib, cuz most of these flavors will leave permanent stains!

Very disappointed with our experience. Our bill already included a 20% automatic gratuity, but our…read moreserver never mentioned this and instead prompted everyone at the table to sign and add an additional tip. We later realized we had effectively tipped twice. When we prompted the server of this, the server refused to reverse the extra gratuity. Whether intentional or not, the lack of transparency was misleading and left us feeling taken advantage of. Auto-gratuity should be clearly communicated before asking guests to add another tip. This experience left a very negative impression, and I hope the restaurant addresses this practice so it doesn't happen to other customers. Also, out of the entire menu they only had three ramen choices available. Everything was essentially sold out.

I came in on a week night before thanksgiving so it was very quiet in the restaurant. I ordered…read morespicy tonkatsu ramen and it was alright. The meat cut was a little on the tough side but otherwise good. The egg did not have much of a marinated flavor. The staff was quick to serve me and the food came out very fast. The restaurant is very well designed and modern with what appeared to be a cafe on the floor above it. I see other reviews of this place and wish I had tried more of the menu which seems to have turned out better than the ramen did. I will be back to try more!
