What happened on Friday, September 17 was by far the most pleasant move I have ever experienced. Vaja (I hope I am spelling his name right) and his partner arrived at 9:15am, and despite the lack of parking options on that street, was able to get going with the move. The loading up at pick up point was executed quickly, and off they went. There was a lot of traffic getting from Manhattan to Brooklyn so at the drop off I had to wait for them a little bit, but I knew from my own ride into Brooklyn it would take them a moment to get there. When they arrived they had the help of one additional mover, and together all three got my stuff into the storage space in no time at all. Any challenges earlier in the day between parking the truck and traffic soon disappeared with smiles and good cheer as the job completed. The job was done by 12:15pm. No supplies were left behind at either pick up or drop off. I would say based on the performance of not just the movers but in the organization process, and customer service given, that I would work with Simply Moving and Moved.com again should I have to move in the future. ***HIGHLY RECOMMENDED***

It usually takes me over half a week to pack and be stressed for over a week, but Diego and his 3 teammates packed up our studio in 2-3 hours. They're so professional. They moved so quickly with care and accuracy. Most importantly, all my kitchen appliances were wrapped with care and delivered and arrived to my new apartment in the same condition. It took us about 2 hrs to settle in, and they once again unpacked most of the furnitures and reassembled them, making me feel settled in and relaxed. I cannot thank their team enough. Before they even arrived, I got a tracking link to follow their location just like Uber, which immediately made me feel at ease. Crisanto and his crew showed up right on time and were incredible. They worked quickly but carefully, wrapping all of my furniture and somehow managing three giant mirrors without a single issue. Not one complaint and not one moment of stress. What really stood out was how above and beyond they went. They helped me figure out which part of my couch would actually fit in my space, laid out my rugs, and organized everything so I could still move around my studio comfortably. The only professional was Johantan, polite and helpful. The other two guys didn't do much. Their (Uhall) truck didn't fit all our stuff (so we have to rent movers again), they dumped our stuff in front of our building, kept complaining all day about how this is a difficult task, and left us to finish their move. We overpaid for 2 hrs at the end, got to work the entire day and it cost us more than hiring professional movers. Lesson learned, always take professional movers, not some neighborhood boss!

I price-compared a ton of NYC moving companies and J & G gave me a competitive moving quote. Additionally, the building I was moving into required a certificate of insurance (COI) and J & G was able to offer it for me for free. A lot of other companies charge for this. Before moving, I communicated with them via email and they always responded promptly and were very clear about what their moving package included. The day of the move, they called and asked if it was okay if they came an hour early. They were very communicative with me during the whole move. The lead guy (forgot his name!) assessed how many things I had and then discussed with the other 2 men on how to efficiently approach the move. The 3 men were over 6' tall and strong, and they were able to finish my whole move in a little more than 1 hr! I did not have anything that was easily breakable but the men treated my things with care. They provided blanket and shrink wrapping for all of my furniture. Everything was loaded up into their truck very quickly. These guys wasted no time. When I arrived at my new apartment building, they had already started unloading my things. I had my boxes labeled with what was inside (i.e., kitchen supplies, shoes, jackets) and they actually placed each box in the corresponding room. Best of all, there were no hidden fees. They ended up not charging me a processing fee that was included in the quote and gave me $40 off my quoted price. The movers were so friendly, communicative and professional, I will definitely be using J & G Moving again! I also wanted to note that on the day of my move, the street I was moving from was blocked due to construction. J & G movers did not complain or make any mention of that until I had stepped outside of my apartment building and noticed it. Milan was fantastic at setting everything up, Ronny and JR were in charge of the crew, and they were fantastic at navigating the myriad issues involved (coop to coop move). They managed to move 5 Billy bookcases, 3 of which are 15 years old at this point, without a single issue of any kind. These are not the sturdiest of items, so I find that impressive. They had zero damage at either building, and given what I saw in the myriad moves from our old building, where I was a member of the board, most moving companies have a total lack of care.
