I've never been so insulted. I recently tried to purchase a used Prius from Koch Rt 2 Toyota, and everything was fine until it came time to work with the finance team. I had not really haggled on the price and just negotiated $750 more on my trade-in. I was a pretty easy mark. They were definitely making money on the deal, and I didn't really even care. They had the car with the options I wanted, and it was really low mileage. I was happy, and they were happy. Win-win, or so I thought. I was even paying with a cashier's check. Super easy, but then I had to deal with the finance team. I start signing every document until we get to the one that says that I must waive my right to sue them if something is wrong, and instead submit to binding arbitration. I questioned it and said I don't think I can sign this. I was buying a used car that had an open recall that did not yet have a fix. The previous owner had the car for only 8 months before selling it. Did the previous owner think it had a problem? I have no way of knowing. Then, Koch had replaced the lift gate (it's a hatchback) for damage that was not reported to CarFax... some sort of accident the previous owner had. All of these things together said to me that I was taking some amount of risk to buy this car. Why would I sign away my right to sue if there is a problem? I pointed this out, and the junior finance manager brought in a more senior finance manager, Anthony. Anthony started off by saying all dealerships require an arbitration agreement now. I don't know if this is true, but I have many cars and have never signed one. He told me that this was a relatively new thing. He told me it was due to changes in the law, saying "Look, this is right out of Massachusetts law." I asked what law? And I asked him to show me. He went to the computer and clicked around for a couple of minutes, and eventually said he couldn't find it. Then he said, "well, it's just for our protection." And "most finance companies require this now." I reminded him that I was paying in cash and not financing. Then he said, "It just like how at Dunkin, they print on their cups that coffee is hot and you can't sue them if you spill it on yourself." I said,"that's not true. I am not signing away my rights at Dunkin." They have a warning, just like you have all those disclaimers that I signed. Then he started with "What are you afraid of? Are you planning to sue us?" I told him that I was afraid that I was buying a used car with an open, currently unfixable recall, that recently had an unreported accident that required them to replace the lift gate, which was sold to them by someone who had only had the car for 8 months. I was taking all the risk. I was giving them over 30k, had signed every disclosure they had, but was unwilling to sign over my rights if the car was a lemon. He responded that arbitration does not affect the lemon law. So I googled it right there in front of him. Arbitration absolutely limits the lemon law. It restricts what can be considered reasonable remediation, keeps everything confidential and out of public hearings, and is almost always better for the company than the consumer. That's when he started repeating multiple times, "What are you afraid of? Are you planning to sue us?" As he was standing there in front of me. Each time getting a little closer and turning his head a little as he stared through me. He was such a condescending bully. I have never been so insulted. I have never sued anyone. By the 5th time he said it, I asked to undo the deal and give me my car back. I will never go back to Koch Rt 2 Toyota ever again. I'm not sure how I feel about arbitration, and maybe I would have signed it, but I am not spending that much money for someone to be so incredibly rude, bullying, and trying to gas light me with his obvious and checkable lies. We drove quite a ways to take a look at a 2013 tundra.They had on the lot. It was listed for $17500. Nice truck to get for a test drive, and it needed wheel alignment and balancing. One of the things I checked when we first got there was the level of antifreeze in the radiator. It was low and so was the reservoir. As we were finishing up the test drive, we noticed.The water pump was making noise.So I diagnosed it needed to be replaced.And that's where the water was leaking from. They were unwilling to remedy the problems and only offered us a five hundred dollar discount. It is interesting that to day. They have it listed for under $17000. Stay away from this irreputable dealer. I have bought four toyotas from cannabi lake toyota in new hampshire. They have amazing customer service and sales. When I decided to buy a second Toyota, I remembered all the hassles I went through at area Toyota dealerships. So I decided to start out with one that was new to me - Koch Rt 2 Toyota - and I'm so glad I did. My experience there was hassle-free and laid-back, and the process throughout was transparent. Yianni was wonderful to work with - not pushy in the least, he was friendly but respectful, listened closely, and followed my lead in everything. He explained everything clearly, and carefully helped me think through my choices. I knew the price he offered me was fair because I'd done my research, so I easily accepted it. This dealership was just such a pleasure to work with. In addition to Yianni, insurance and finance folks Starling and Anthony were also very pleasant to interact with, and again no pressure from anyone. I did not feel compelled to jump through hoops here as I had elsewhere. Yianni has even continued to be helpful and generous with his time post-sale. He showed me in person how to disable some unwanted features on my new car. And if I have a question, I know I can just shoot him an email and get a quick reply. So I cannot recommend Yianni and this dealership too highly, they are terrific! read more

Spoke to them the next morning and made an appointment. Drove 1 hr out to Lancaster and they came in over $7,000 lower than their quote on a pristine vehicle. 2 months after purchasing a very expensive vehicle, I was returning with multiple noises. I requested a loaner, for which they charge $52 for the 4 hours that I had it and the 30 miles I put on it. I kindly requested that they waive the fee. I was told to ask Sales, the sales manager told me that service was just blowing me off and that it is up to them. The service manager, Dennis, came in the next day and decided not to waive the fee without even speaking to me and then declined to take my calls. So unprofessional. Avoid at all costs. Untrustworthy! Last month I had an oil change and complimentary multipoint inspection and was told there were no issues and that no maintenance needing to be done. Great! Last week we had one of the first warm days of the season so I turned my AC on and noticed it was blowing hot air. Brought my car back to dealership and was told I needed a total AC condenser replacement because there was a giant hole in it and it was leaking. Was quoted over $1200 for this. I decided to get a second opinion and the second mechanic did not find a hole at all, but instead found a leak in a valve which was easily replaced. My AC also needed a recharge. This cost me less than $300. Seems like Koch tried to screw me out of almost $1000! Beware! read more

Worse tire service ever, they told my I need 4 new tires but not at there prices (double) than a regular tire store also they LEAK! Two years it been leaking and I got ti carry a gage and a compressor when the light comes on (tire) it cost my $100 each to find nothing. So at $260 a tire at another store or a mark up of $495. Each tire with low pressure warning every few months I go with the $260 tire instead and have it mounted by my mechanic not Toyota's Also I hate asking what my maintenance schedule is when they tell me I need $$$$ and don't even look at the vehicle (saved $4,500, from nothing wrong with it (they wanted me to change timing belt and timing chain after I got a new car from the dealership (3 months later). read more

Started out nice. Found a good used car and got the usual sales pitch from a friendly salesman Tony. After a couple of days, my " friend" followed up and I revised the vehicle. I told him the doc fee of 500 raised the advertised price out of my price range and he went to his mgr ( never met him during the entire process) and he lowered the sale price 300. I figured nice compromise. I asked if the car came with 2 keys (they deny I ever asked but I always do because of past experiences) and they said yes ( which they also deny). To make a long story short, I bought the car because my wife loved it. I would like never recommend buying from this dealership unless you video tape and record everything. They conveniently forget important things the customer needs and wants. You might think the dealership would want a happy customer but they evidently just want the sale. They got what they wanted and my only recourse is an unflattering yelp review. It is sad and I would have walked away but happy wife, happy life! Hope this helps someone. read more

Bought a new $41K 2024 rav 4. 3 hours later it was undrivable. The sun went down and t he computer display was supposed to go into dark mode, it did not. The display was so bright I had to put a towel over it because it was when you have a bright light shining in your face at night you can't see. I called everyone at the dealer I could, they are all rude nasty and STUPID! I finnally found a work around so that the car is drivable at night. It took about 3 hours of reseting car computer etc. I had bought an extended warranty from them. They Tell me I can't get my money back unless I come in Monday. When considering a purchase from a dealer I have not worked with before, I always call the service department first to see how they respond to customers. I want to see if they are pleasant to deal with (the sales people are not a reliable indicator), you want to see how accommodating they are to your schedule, how long the wait times are, etc. Behind the false smiles of the showroom is where you see how you're treated after they have the sale. Koch failed miserably. Nobody returned any of my calls for service questions, and even a call to management yielded the same result. I could have pushed the issue, but why bother when there are so many better rated dealers? This could have been very frustrating to find out after the sale. I bought two cars from this place when it was Wagner. It's amazing how a different owner can destroy a dealership in such a short time. **Update: First off let me say that buying the car just 5 months ago was a good experience fast forward to today and I am extremely disappointed in this dealership. I understand that a used vehicle is going to have some issues down the road and yes purchasing an extended warranty would have been the best option but I could not afford to do that at the time of purchase. So now less than 2000 miles I have put on this vehicle and the brand dealership, GMC, tells me it will cost $3800 to replace transmission upper/lower valve body and solenoid control valve. After many attempts to get an extra key and the Manuel's I was told that this would be resolved. To this date it has not. I have a 2022 Highlander bought new 5100 miles on it. Went in for my first service last week. I had mentioned to the rep who checks in the car and explained to him there was a lot of wind noise in the car. This was the response I got " highlander are known for that and if I took off the rack crossbars the wind noise would stop" unfortunately the noise comes from the front and side windows. My daughter is looking to buy her first car. We went to Koch to test drive a 2016 Toyota camry with 91k miles. While inspecting the vehicle I noticed it needs brakes and rotors, noted a tire plug in the nearly bald tires. The hood latch is rusted over and won't latch so the hood is not secure. Strut mounts were rusted over as well but thats minor. They're asking 17500 for the vehicle. I told them we would buy the car if they REPLACED the hood latch, brakes, rotors and tires. The gm came back and said he oiled the latch (short term solution) wouldn't do the brakes as they still passed state minimums, same with the tires. So basically pay top dollar for the car and be prepared to put another 2500 into a month after you buy it! ...hahaha kindly eff off pal. You won't budge on the price, and you actually put a car on your lot with bald tires which have a plug in them. You are a POS and I will never do business with you it is also my life's mission to tell everyone I know just how awful you are as a person and dealer. After I leave this review I am contacting the bbb and the attorney General as the 3 things I wanted fixed are saftey hazards. read more

SLIMY BUSINESS PRACTICE turned a really great experience into a really shitty one. All good. Thought I had proper pricing up-front. Got outside financing. Then, at the very end, handed me a bill that included a $4,000 up-charge due to low product availability and high demand. Walked out. Had to redo the financing. Ended up buying the car, but felt held over the barrel. If they were just up front with the addition 10% overcharge fee, I would have made it happen and would have been less angry over the experience. Yes, not one, but two managers apologized for the "misunderstanding." It was clear to me this is a PLANNED business practice. Would have given four or five stars for the service had this VERY expensive surprise been better represented UPFRONT. I did not buy any extra services from this dealership. I will have have my car serviced here. Koch, you lost a lot of extra dollars and will get a lot of negative word of mouth from me for your short sighted money grab. read more

I bought a used vehicle from them and not even a month in starting hearing noises kinda thought wow theres no way something is wrong already but there was and i have contacted them through email and calling and no return Ive had the car 3 months paid more 11,000 and have already had to put a ton of money into it. Many different thing were wrong . Go somewhere else spend your money because this place doesnt care about you as a customer and im not rich and with everything going on definitely cant afford to put a ton of money into a vehicle i just bought. We brought our 2009 corolla for a simple oil change and tire rotation last week. They recommended that we did a FI service, so we did. Come to find out, that the tech broke a coolant nipple off of the car on accident. How this even happens, is beyond me. I don't care that the car is old and brittle, there is no reason why he was near the cooling system doing a fuel injection cleaner. He must have been swinging a hammer around like a monkey. The worst part is WE HAD TO WAIT AN ENTIRE WEEK FOR THE REPLACEMENT PART TO COME IN. An oil change turned into a 1 week long service. We need the car to get to work and to go to the police academy. They offered a rental but said they needed a credit card. Yeah I'm all set I'm not paying for a rental if there's any damage after you guys just vandalized our car. The best part is they couldn't even do the services for free because of our great inconvenience. They still charged us full price and we had to tell them to reduce the price. I thought for sure the work would have been no charge to us for this inconvenience but no we were not compensated one bit for not having our vehicle for 1 week. Absolutely ridiculous. They need to fire the service manager ASAP. We will now have to find a different shop for our vehicles. It's a shame I bought a truck from them in Feb and will have to it serviced here. I do not trust them one bit with my new truck. I will be in contact with the GM regarding this issue read more
