lied about replacing brake pads (including fraudulent receipts, two months into driving old pads…read moreflew off, see attached picture), was told that they didn't have to replace the rotors because the shaking from them was "the pads adjusting to the rotors" (quite literally not how that works), sold me a car with a cracked rear differential and kept the car almost my entire warranty to "replace my EVAP" so i wouldn't notice (ended up costing $3k), butt dialed me and could hear them calling me an idiot and saying i don't know what im talking about simply for requesting maintenance reports in farsi thinking i wouldn't understand, broke my rear suspension because they didn't screw in a bolt properly, incorrectly replaced the front bumper (didn't even put clips in) breaking the headlight and fog light assemblies AND a cracked grill, oh yeah, and still refused to give me a maintenance report. i cannot stress this enough, DO NOT GO HERE. they will lie, steal, cheat, and disrespect you.

I bought a truck from Platinum Sales in January and while the initial dealings were fine, the after…read moresales dealings were frustrating. We agreed on a price with new tires to be installed and had to wait a week for that to be taken care of, slight inconvenience, but hey I finally have my truck. Drive it home on a Friday night and find that the heater is blowing mildly warm air, thankfully had electric seat warmers and a heated steering wheel. Texted them of the problem when I got home that night. (The vehicle was always running with the heat and seat warmers on when I went to road test and pick up the vehicle, so did not notice the heat not working). The next morning I drove a half mile from home and went to take a left at an intersection and the power steering failed completely, had to muscle the truck back home. I arranged to have it towed thru AAA to get it back to their shop to help them out. After getting the run around on when the vehicle was going to be done, three weeks later it was supposedly ready to pick up. While they had it, they supposedly also fixed the heater issue which they were told by their mechanic that it was a thermostat issue. Their last thing to do was an alignment since the rack unit was replaced, which supposedly was done. I pick up the vehicle and am told the heat is all seat and when I check, nope, it was the same as before...vehicle running, heater on, seat warmers on. I could not leave it with them any longer as I had been out of work for three weeks waiting for the steering rack replacement. I told them I would have to bring the vehicle back another time. I take the vehicle home, drove for almost a week and went to get it inspected and it failed, bad ball joints they said. I worked at a garage for 11 years and we did front end repairs so I am very knowledgeable about front ends and I know you can't do an alignment with parts that are worn out in the front end, they won't hold the alignment specs. So either their mechanic lied about being able to do an alignment, or Platinum knew about the ball joints and just gave it back in hopes it would pass inspection and would be my problem down the road. So, it went back to them again for the ball joint replacement and another attempt at the heater issue. Ball joints took a few days to get done and when I ask about the heater I'm told that their mechanic for that is on vacation for two weeks. Not willing to lose my vehicle sitting in a lot somewhere for 2 weeks I went back and picked it up so I could go back to work. I live an hour from the dealership and making all these trips back and forth costs time and money that I'll never recoup. The vehicle goes back a few weeks later for another attempt at the heater, dropped off on a Sunday for a Monday appt. I texted on Tuesday for an update and was told their mechanic had an emergency and initially told they were going to have another mechanic look at it. After a few more back and forth texts I was told the mechanic's mother passed away and there was not another mechanic going to look at it. I went up to pick it up and talk to the manager and had an agreement that I would have the truck looked at by my mechanic, have him diagnose the issue and provide me with a price, I would pass the diagnosis to Platinum so their mechanic can provide them a price. If the difference between the two estimates was small enough I could decide to have it fixed by my mechanic and pay the difference, if the difference was too much then I would bring it back to them. It took a week for Platinum to get back to me on the estimate and said they have a budget of $300 for the heater core. I asked if there mechanic was saying he could replace it for $300, as my mechanic stated it was over 9 hours to replace it. Almost 10 days later I get a response stating of the $1600+ estimate for a heater core replacement from my mechanic, that they would only reimburse me $300. Now mind you, this was the very first issue that became apparent with the vehicle back in January and it is now May that they are bailing on the repair. Platinum stood by their vehicle initially, they made the needed repairs, except for the heater that is, at their cost but at my lost time of weeks from work, costing me thousands of dollars and the time to run the vehicle back to them so many times. If you are buying a vehicle from Platinum, have your mechanic check it out thoroughly and any repairs made by them also checked by your mechanic as my mechanic also noted that someone had added Stop Leak in the cooling system.

Our experience with Ron Bouchard has so far been positive. They are somewhat typical as far as dealerships. Sales is not too pushy, but as with any dealership, they make money on sales, upgrades, and service and as such have been predicable with their tactics. They confidently declare they are different from other dealers because they don't charge above sticker price, which appears to be true, but I wouldn't consider it a selling point. While I appreciate not paying above sticker, I would never pay above sticker so this doesn't help much. While I appreciate the straight forward pricing and I would love to believe that they are better than other dealers, anytime someone tells me to trust them, it sets off a bunch of alarms in my head and I worry that if they have to tell me that, instead of discovering that on my own, is it true? Either way, the vehicle is absolutely amazing and we truly love it. I can't say it enough, we LOVE OUR KIA! We also have a Porsche Cayenne and the Kia is as good or better than the Porsche. Nonetheless, the sales process is standard and the honesty/knowledge/promises are as always, questionable. With all that said, would I return to Ron Bouchard Kia? Yes, more for the quality of the vehicle and the convenience of the dealer location.

I inquired about a Kia EV6 on the Ron Bouchard Kia website listed at $23,999. I live in NY and I…read morewas told there was someone local coming to look at the car that night, and they'd call if it was still available after that. I said yes, please call, because I would buy the car. The local customer bought the car that night. Fast forward two weeks; I get a call from Ron Bouchard Kia saying the buyers brought the car back because they didn't want it anymore, and was I still interested in buying it? I say yes. They send me a link to the car - surprise, it's now listed at $26,990. I ask if they'll sell it to me at the price it was previously listed at just two weeks ago. Answer: no. The price is now $26,990 because "when you first inquired about this vehicle, it was listed at our lowest price due to how long it had been on our lot. Now that it's newly back in inventory, the pricing has been adjusted to reflect current market values. If anything changes on your end feel free to reach out!" If this is how you want to be treated as a customer, I guess buy a car at Ron Bouchard Kia.
