High quality beautiful koi! Tomoko is the best. Can't wait to visit them again when they reopen in 2021.

Wow this place has it all. The amount of tanks and fish species here, you can spend a few hours…read morejust looking at everything. It's really hot in here when I came though. Not really sure if thats normally how it is. I bought 2 cherry shrimps and it ran me $6. Thats about the same price as 1 from empire fish on Northern Blvd. I asked the lady for 2 female shrimps and she picked them out for me. Unlike Empire, when I asked for a female shrimp the guy there said there's no way to tell. BS

Before I address the haters, I want to say this place is my top choice for a local fish store. John…read moreand all of the crew greet me with warmth and casual professionalism everytime I walk through their doors. Now if you are still on the fence about coming here due to some people questioning the durability of MA's fish with them getting sick" within a day or two after bringing home" or that "Selling sick fish is unacceptable". Let me ease your mind. Yes, fish do get sick sometimes. That is always unfortunate. It is also sometimes out of a LFS's control at times. Pathogens, parasites and protozoa are always present in aquaculture. Symptoms may remain dormant or negligible and cannot be detected from a glance. Hence it is why we in the hobby quarantine new fish, not just for diseases we can see but also those we cannot. However sickness can sometimes not be preventable. Something you CAN prevent is a massacre of your whole tank by simply QUARANTINING YOUR FISH. If you allow time to do its thing you will most definitely know whether or not any action needs to be taken. Simply dumping new fish into established tanks just means " I dont care about my fish", " If they die its not my fault since I didnt know they were sick". Now alot of people in this hobby are beginners and thats great! Just learn to ask for help. If help is coming from a person who "pretended he didn't understand what I was saying", GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. There's this pretty neat place call the internet. Oh? you're on it now? WOW! SEE look at that! Not so Hard right? BEST OF LUCK TO YOU!! :) All in all, sorry for the rant. It is just frustrating to see such a good and hard working establishment come under fire from people who dont do their research and go "oh no, the consequences of my actions" when they screw up. K Bye ;)

A little conflicted but I see why someone could have a terrible experience. First I ordered a 12…read morepack of plants, 2 other plants of my choosing, and a 5 pack mystery snails on a Monday morning.  Pros: Snails arrived alive and active, Free shipping via FedEx 2 day over 79.99. Good selection of plants at good prices. Plants arrived clean and parasite free. Order arrived same week. Cons: Customer service does not exist. I tried to contact about my order shipping via live chat and email and never got a response. I got my tracking same day order arrived. The site said awaiting fulfillment until the day order arrived. The 12 variety pack for 49.99 was actually 6 plants with 2 stem "bunches" each varietal. Some I can't even call a bunch as they chose some green onion looking plants for me that were not attractive and had like 2 long leaves. I expected 12 varietals so this was disappointing.  Overall I feel as though if you want to order from this company make sure to order on a Monday morning or over the weekend so you get your order same week hopefully. Don't expect to talk to a person so hopefully there are no issues with your order. The free shipping is nice considering other companies charge up to $59 dollars for the same. Dont buy their variety packs for plants, pick your own if you want to know what you get and not be disappointed. Company seems to be in NY my order shipped from FL in case it's pertinent. Expect you will have to trim some yellow leaves but overall plants were clean and pest free. Will likely shop again knowing all this. You may want to use PayPal to ensure security in case you need to refund/return.

At no point was I notified that one of the plants was out of stock. Instead, I had to contact the company myself to report the missing item. It then took 5 days for them to respond and offer a refund for the plant that was never shipped. To make matters worse, another plant I received died almost immediately because it had virtually no root system, leaving it unable to establish itself in my substrate. I contacted the company about this issue as well, but their response was essentially, "it happens." They offered neither a refund nor a replacement for their defective plant. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. Between being charged for an item that was never shipped, the slow customer service, and the lack of support for a poor-quality plant, I have little confidence in ordering or recommending this company.

Trust me I don't like anymore traffic on past my house but you must go to this place! They have fish in bins and they're easy to see. The bins start at $100; then there's $200; $300 all the way through $800 and then they "price upon request" here's the deal it's like a lot. At about $400 you can sell the fishes Sex and the fish in the 400 500 and $600 bins are just absolutely freaking gorgeous the most amazing beautiful Japanese pure bread Koi that you've ever seen. I know this stuff. You will walk out of that with an absolute gem for your POND and it's a fun experience. I sent my sister with her kids.. it strange, because they have a huge aquatic waterfall feature in the corner and it's still something that I would pass by because the bushes are shrubs don't exactly spell out "KOI". This place is a very serious good quality place with the quality water and amazing staff. You don't have to spend a lot of money there's a lot of fish in the $100 bins that are just fine, in fact gorgeous. If you wanted to spend money. There is a way to do it here. The fish in the "price upon request" Ben were second and none. This place is number one in Long Island and I'm not spellcheck this I hope it says what it supposed to.
