I would support them more if they didn't use tiger king style marketing tactics. The constant flow of kittens is concerning, picking them up by the scruff is also concerning. It's really important for kittens to be handled properly so that they grow up to be comfortable in veterinary and emergency situations. Also proper handling makes them more adoptable and less likely to stay in shelters or form antisocial or aggressive or fearful behaviors. Let's stick to cats over a year or 2 old and if you're trying to help kittens get adopted, putting up photos, a live camera video feed of them at a shelter during playtime would be sufficient. read more

Catpurrccinos is the best cat cafe ever. I've been here multiple times and always have a great experience. Unlike the super expensive ones in the city (sometimes up to $40 per person?!?!) you only need to pay $15 for one whole hour in the cat room!! To beat the crowds and tail-pulling kids, I would recommend signing up for one of the later time slots. There are pretty much always spots available on a walk in basis, but their online booking system works well too. The staff are all very nice and really passionate about what they do. The cats are so well taken care of, and they have so many toys and forms of enrichment to keep them entertained. Absolutely love it here, the food and drinks are great (recommend their lattes and grilled cheese sandwiches). They do sell pastries/ baked goods as well. This is a cute spot that allows you to unwind and destress with the most adorable kittens and cats (that are available for adoption too). There are tons of toys to help start an interaction (bringing food inside will cause this too, always keep an eye on your stuff as they do climb the tables and you when food is around). There are kitty vision tv channels for them, scratching towers, a shy room for skittish cats, chairs and tables for humans. It is on the pricey side, BUT, admission does go to the care and medical bills of the cats. Also, make sure to check their website, they have fun events every once in a while! Tip: bring cat treats from home if you please, the kitties will give you so much attention! Also, pay in advance from home to make an online reservation. This will guarantee entry. The only negative I can really say that is more of a warning is that the place smells, it's very distinct. If you are sensitive to smells, stay back. It is very clean inside though, I do feel comfortable eating here. Staff is on top of everything. The other is that they do have fiv outbreaks, and some of them also have other life threatening illnesses, it's heartbreaking to see the cats you get attached to die or fall severely ill. We went back in October (recently found my SD card) because our daughter loves cats. We found street parking a few hundred yards from the store. You need to pay and sign a waiver before entering the area with cats. We entered, and I sat at a table while our daughter engaged with the cats using toys available. However-we did have some concerns about the cats' quality of life due to the large amount of people and children that were present in the room that were not respecting boundaries. A lot of the cats were visibly distressed and the rules weren't enforced. I think limiting the amount of people allowed in the room at a time and ensuring that proper interactions with animals are modeled for children would improve the experience for the animals and visitors overall! read more

This review isn't about the food because I only ordered coffee. Ladies and gentlemen, I was at Catpurrccinos for the cats and kittens! I highly recommend you stop by multiple times per month if you have the time. My rating would honestly be 1,000,000/5. If you don't plan on reading my review, just go to Catpurrcinos as if your life depends on it. I will be visiting as much as I can. The entry free is $13 per hour but I reserved for two. I was able to do a walk in but I'm sure you can call ahead and reserve your spot. The sessions start at the beginning of every hour. So if you get there at 2:15pm, you can either pay for the 2pm session or wait for 3. If you decide to go in anyway, you're not getting the extra 15 minutes when it hits 3. Honestly, who cares? It's for the cats! The employees are great. I didn't mind going in at 2:15 or whatever time I got there. Why? All the fees help contribute to help pay to take care of the cats. I think it's pretty awesome that the owner rescued these feral cats and from the shelter. You can order your goodies or drinks and either wait for it and enter or they will bring it inside for you. Be prepared to sign a waiver after you pay your fee. You will find the QR code by the door that lets you enter to the kitty paradise. After you sign the waiver, the wonderful staff will brief you before you start your experience. What I really loved about this place is that they have what I'll call the sanitizing room. After the brief, you will enter a small room so you can wash your hands before you enter and after you leave. I'm allergic to cats (it's ok...I took allergy meds before I got there) so I thought this was a great idea! Also, you're not exposing these cute babies. They have toys so you can play with them and have a play pen so you can play with the kittens but you gotta sit down so you don't accidentally step on them. There is also a shy room for the shy cats. They have some cats who have a collar and some do not. The collared cats will let you touch them but those that don't have one may not. I know the kittens are cute but they ask that you do not pick them up. If you're sitting on the floor, they will come and sit on your lap. I'm still wondering how I didn't die from pure bliss.. If you bought food or drinks, keep an eye on them! These fur babies will come to check them out. They have tables and chairs inside. Since you've made it this far, I would like to thank you! I took a personal day and after visiting a museum nearby, knew I needed to grab a bite to eat. Since it was still during the day and not post work hours, I took a gamble at Catpurccinos (hoping to also snag a slot to visit the kitties). I was in luck. I arrived, scarfed down the Cat in the hat sandwich and a Meowly Cyrus drink while filling out a reservation for the next hour which started in 10 minutes. The drink was good, a little sweeter than my preferred tastes, and the cat in the hat sandwich was also refreshing, except the only thing weird about it was the block of cold cheddar cheese on it. If you're an animal lover, you will melt here, and if I didn't have my own mean geriatric kitty at home, I would have likely adopted one of the 57 cats available. They all need homes. The cats without collars are generally more shy or need a little more space or they just don't like collars. The cats were listening to Elvis and had plenty of toys at their disposal. You could even brush them too. There is a smaller room that you can go in to visit the cats that, if adopted, would be a one cat household. I had a blast and it was one of the best things I could have done for myself. They also have a charity that helps cover their medical costs and cats in the area. This is a sweet little cafe, where the cats take the center stage, but we also had a decent chai latte & cappuccino while we waited for our teenage daughters to play with the kittens. I didn't try the food but I had to pay 45$ for my 3 kids to see the cats. The guy at the counter was very careless. The service is not what we expected. The same guy told my 3 kids, (eldest was 10 middle was 7 and youngest was 4) about the cats and everything they needed to know. When they went inside my eldest was playing with one cat and that cat had a collar and got scratched very deeply. She was bleeding a lot. The guy at the counter had barely NOTHING in the first aid kit and had to look for a cat scratching cream.he didn't have any alcohol wipes so my daughter had to use water from the bathroom. Took my senior citizen mom here for brunch and a chance to visit with the kitties. She loved it!! Such a friendly, welcoming place, and though a bit of a tight squeeze, it's more or less wheelchair accessible. The cats all appear well taken care of and loved (one of the attendants assured me she knows ALL of the nearly 60 cats by name, even though there are a TON of black/black and white lookalikes!!) Definitely make a reservation for your 1 hour visit to the kitty room, and I DOUBLE DARE you to not be tempted to bring home half a dozen (or more!!) of these cuties. I'm impressed by how clean and "busy" the cat room is, with tons of climbing spots, "secret" hideaways, and lots of toys!! My second trip to Catpurrccinos and it was depressing. The place smelled, the cages were dirty. The can food was crusted and in desperate need of changing. I booked a visit for 12 and the gentlemen did not open the front door until 12 and then was left waiting to see the cats. Oh my goodness! This place is cat heaven! If you love cats, you must visit the cattery. The staff are very friendly. Yes, it is an adoption center, but no one will ever push you to adopt a cat. You get to spend an hour playing with the cats ($13 plus tax). The place is clean and roomy. You can purchase the food from their restaurant and eat inside the cat room. My daughter and I chose to eat afterwards and sat at the section looking at the cattery. Parking is easy both along the main road or in the municipal parking lot. The food is very good. Stopped by Catpurrcinos recently with my family and we really enjoyed our time here. We got there around 3:40 and they were able to squish us in as a walk in for the next hour with the cats. Before we went in we ordered some food. We got the cat in the hat and the Tony the Tiger. Both of these sandwiches were delicious, I particularly liked Tony the Tiger, the coleslaw on here gave it a refreshing taste that was not too heavy. We also got the tabby road which is a pomegranate lemonade and that was very refreshing as well. All their food was really good and it's so cute that all the names are cat themed. Then we got to spend some time with the cats and they were so cuteee. There were os many of them so we got to interact with them a lot and we had such a good time. Cat area was a pleasant experience - clean, fun and relaxing. You'll fall in love with all of the cats and kittens. The cafe part surprised us. We were not expecting much but tried it anyway.
