Great operation. This is the first time I went with KODI rafting and is by far the best company I have rafted with! Friendly staff, fun tour guide all around great experience! Gracie is a great tour guy. She had us cracking up all throughout the trip. I love the cow zip line story! Lol.

Great family trip down the Arkansas for a half-day trip for the six of us (Class 3). Friendly staff, incredibly safe. Next time, they want to go back and do a Class 4. Our guide Jay could not have been better.

We had so much fun on the rafting trip. There are several companies that offer rafting in the area so I wasn't sure on which one to use. After reading reviews and doing some research, I am glad this is who I picked! The guides were all super friendly. "Aussie" was with us and made the trip well worth it. If we come back through Colorado, we are going to come back and see them!

Absolutely incredible experience with Kodi Rafting in Buena Vista! The full-day whitewater trip was the highlight of our whole vacation. The river was stunning, the rapids were the perfect mix of fun and thrilling, and everything was super well-organized. Our guide Gracie was phenomenal--funny, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt safe and had a blast. Lunch by the river was such a cool bonus. If you're anywhere near Buena Vista, don't miss this. And if you get Gracie, you've hit the jackpot! 10/10 recommend.

We did it!! Ten miles of class three rapids. Water was low so we did not paddle hard the entire three hours, but we had fun. The Staircase is seven rapids in a row. There's the widow maker, Toilet Bowl, Pinball and others. Rocks are all around. Josie went over rules, and we practiced on the water. Half way the rapids threw our raft onto a flat faced rock and dumped us. Josie held on, blowing her whistle. That meant for other rafts to pull over and wait. Five of us, three wearing wet suits in the cold water, did what we were told to do. Tho just a little banged up from hitting rocks (thankful for helmets), we lived to tell of our wonderful adventure. Recommend KODI.

It is our second time here with KODI- we did the 10 miles of Arkansas River with them five years ago and loved it. Was visiting family and decided we needed another adrenaline rush! Today we had Sam our guide who is also a fellow Southerner. He was super knowledgeable and kind. We would recommend this to anyone seeking a thrill (with safety) at a Grade 3 Rapids Class level. Sam was funny & gave us cheesy stories along the way while also taking time to give instructions prior to the rafting & during it. I don't tell the guides till after the rafting that many years ago I conquered the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe (Grade 5 + rapids); I have been told by the guides both times at Kodi that the Zambezi is like the "mecca" for raft guides lmao but when I did it, I had no idea what I was doing- as it was my first time. These Grade 3 Rapids are still very fun despite my prior extreme experience :) Be sure to dress appropriately- I usually wear a sweat wicking long sleeve shirt and shorts over a swimsuit/bikini with Hoka or Keen Water Shoes. Don't worry if you forget- they have a nice boutique store in front where you can purchase last minute items. Otherwise, Kodi provides Splash pullovers for those people who forget and show up in cotton clothes, along with water booties. Helmets and pfd's are required. The guides make sure they are tight on you. On the ride back home they give you local food suggestions. We went to Buena Viking for some local grub off East Main Street. If you mention your guide sent you, the names get entered into a notebook where the guides can win some good beer and/or grub :) I told the hostess @ Buena Vista that Sam sent us, & she showed me the notebook where right now Sam is winning ha ha (well-deserved) It's wonderful to be outdoors on the water, and our family obviously enjoyed it so much we returned five years later. Would like to do the Grade 4 Rapids with the kiddos in the future once they get up the nerve! Cheers to a wholesome & awesome time with Kodi! (Be sure to prepare cash for tip as these guides often work multiple jobs or mainly this one to help make ends meet)

Wonderful experience for a once in a lifetime adventure for this beginning senior citizen! Booked last min, with nicest, accommodating reservationist. ( the night before). She looked at next days activity and fit me in Solo. The guide had wonderful leadership skills, Just enough adventure and instruction to know if I wanted to venture out again for more adventures !

The Numbers on the Arkansas river.

Nine of us ran The Numbers. KODI had everything taken care of and we wasted no time getting on the river. Our guide, Dave, was excellent. Instructions were loud and precise and none went out of the raft. Next time we are in central Colorado we will most definitely hit the Arkansas river again with KODI Whitewater rafting!

We had the best time rafting with our guide Aaron! They are all trained so well and make you feel extremely comfortable and safe. Such a fun experience! Definitely recommend Kodi Rafting.

From start to finish Kodi Rafting rocks! The front office is friendly and professional and the guides (aka rafties) are tremendously skilled in not only maneuvering the rafting but managing their passengers as well. Shout out to guides Brad and Kelly. Amazing people.

Hi all! The…read moreAdventure Company was very professional from start to finish, and they were fun too. My family and I went rafting, and at that time, the Arkansas River was really high. There were some rapids that were very exciting, and the water was really cold, but it was funny for everyone else when I was getting soaked in the front. The water is COLD, but you get used to it pretty quickly. The rapids relaxed down in about 10 minutes, and it was a pretty smooth ride for the rest of journey. The total trip was about an hour and a half, which is a good time for younger kids. David was a great guide, and he was funny and entertaining, yet knowledgeable and passionate about many things adventure. He trained everyone in the raft the do-s and don't-s of rafting, and made sure everyone was prepared in case of emergency. He showed the techniques of how to maneuver the raft, and how to 'rescue' your buddy if they fell in. We had ages 7-57 in our group, and it was fun for everyone. If you are a beginner or have younger, more senior people in your group, I would suggest a level 1-2 experience. If you have a group of more confident, or medium-good physically fit people who like a bit more adventurous time, I would suggest a higher level of rapids. The rest of the staff in the office were very friendly, and the office and amenities were clean and organized. They had changing rooms, and clean guest bathrooms complete with showers if you so desire. They have free lockboxes for you to leave your keys or other valuables if you need. They offered picture packages, but allowed you to take whatever devices you wanted on the raft. They advise against it, and take no responsibility for your lost items, however, they did not prevent us from bringing them (we did not bring our devices). It was a little bit of a hike from Dillon, Frisco area. About 2 hours drive, but the scenery is amazing, and with good company, it makes an easy drive. You pass through some interesting towns on the way if you want to stop and get lunch or dinner! Overall, this was an awesome trip!

I especially want to shout out Kotty, our guide, Simon, our safety guy, and Jason, our driver. They really made our experience phenomenal. We both have experience with this company from rafting the Upper Salt River in AZ. Unfortunately the water levels didn't cooperate but, the rafting company modified the itinerary to give us the best possible adventure possible. Day upper upper Browns Canyon which led to class I've and the use of duckies. Operation am not a fan but, half of our group loved them. We were then driven 1.5 hours away for our dinner and tent camping (3 miles from our put in). Ryan and Eric our guides cooked a great meal and catered to the group. We awakened to a mist and heavy fog, which we were served pancakes and sausages for a warm breakfast, and let's not forget hot coffee. We then departed at 8:30 for our trip down the Royal Gorge were we hit class in rapids, lots of class 3s, great geology, good company, lots of fun and a great experience. Ryan our lead guide and Eric did a great job for 2 days of providing us a great experience and memories. You have many choices but from a personal experience this is the best company to deal with. We are already planning next year's multi day trip.

There were only about 30 people going on the river that day, which is a contrast from other places which sometimes have to process hundreds of people a day. We got an adequate safety briefing and equipment fitting, and then we were taken by bus to the put-in point. We had about two hours on the upper part of the river, which was Class 2-3, and then had a lunch break. Lunch was absolutely amazing -fruit, cold cuts, bacon, cheeses, vegetables, toppings, 3 different loaves of bread - made the biggest Dagwood sandwich I've made in years. there was enough food for 20 people but they were only five of us on the boat including the guide. Then there were cookies to die for. The second half of the river contained the class 4 Rapids, and the Royal Gorge. We were well coached through the difficult ones. Beautiful especially when we floated under the Royal Gorge Bridge, about 1200 feet above us. By the end of the day, we really felt that we had an exciting experience that we had earned through our hard paddling. Joe, the guide, had a great attitude with all appropriate safety consciousness, with an encouraging and humorous personality. Equipment was in top shape.
