The staff is incredibly loving and communicates well with the pet owners. The dogs are kept on a strict schedule of playing in the communal playroom, getting walks, napping, eating meals, and going to sleep at night. I think the schedule really helps the dogs know what to expect at any time during their stay. I recommend having your dog go for a few days / half days of daycare prior to the first boarding visit as it helps the dog become familiar with the establishment, the routines and to know that they'll eventually go home again. I can't say enough about the staff! They're all very caring and pass along important information as well as comments about your dog that make you realize how much they interact and care about each and every dog in their care. I only wish I had found this establishment years ago!

I can attest to the fact that the staff goes above and beyond in caring for the dogs. They provide for them, what they need personally and treat them like their own. My dog always gets excited as we drive down the street to Dog Tales and can't get out of the car fast enough to get inside. I often look at the pet cam to see what's happening. So often, the staff is petting, hugging, and playing with the dogs. It truly is peace of mind for me to know that leaving my dog at this daycare is like leaving her with family. She is always well taken care of and I will always be grateful that I was fortunate enough to find Dog Tales.

He was a private dog trainer in Northern VA. He trained my boyfriend's one eyed pit-bull, sweet pea, to not want to eat my pup Louie. He is truly a dog whisperer and genuinely cares about all animals. He worked a miracle with an unsocialized dog. Over the years, we have stayed in touch - all about the dogs tho! He has helped when able with my Wolf Trap Animal Rescue fosters, I've included my Dalmatians in his church trunk or treat, and I've referred many friends to all of creation. My best friend's one year old beagle, Patton, starts wagging his tale of excitement when he pulls into the facility. I'm a little sad my dalmatians (1 and 12 years) don't even look back once they're taken away at the front desk - they are ready to play! If you want your pup to be loved, cared for, and come home a tired pup- don't hesitate to take them to All of Creation Pet Care! The friendly staff and level of service never disappoint.

My dogs first boarding experience was two months ago. My husband and I had a travel delay in Paris, and were not going to be able to pick up our dog until the following day because our flight was rescheduled. I made an international call to inform them, however they said that he could not stay an extra night...thankfully my brother lives an hour + away was able to pick him up. This added another 2 hours of driving to our trip after traveling for over 24 hours. My brother also told me they originally brought out the wrong dog to him. After my dog was settled back home, I looked at the receipt and medical records. They were suppose to give him his influenza #2 of the series but it was documented as he received influenza #1. In shock since they had his medical and vaccine records, I called them and they said it was incorrectly documented, and they did credit us which I appreciated. His most recent visit is the most disturbing. Over the July 2nd weekend, with heat index over 100, my dog came home with the pads of his back paws burned. We noticed as soon as he got out of Pender a limp in his back legs. My husband went back inside to ask if he had any accidents or hurt himself, had they noticed him limping? The answer we got was that he got 5 walks a day and they didn't notice him limping once. Therefore I assume they didn't give him any attention or they just didn't care. When we got in the car, my husband looked at our dogs paws and immediately my dog pulled back his back legs and whimpered. The pictures don't do it justice, but it appears he was left out on the hot turf or pavement. It doesn't take long for the pads to burn from the heat of summer as most dog owners know & I never thought this would happen at a boarding facility. My dog is now limping, licking his burns and my husband has to take off work to take him to the vet. We wanted to love pender retreat as much as we love our vet at Pender Fairfax and the convenience of the retreat to the airport but after this we will be looking to board our dog elsewhere.

Our second dog was symptomatic a couple days after that. I contacted Pender and at first received a generic response wishing us well and an empty offer for us to keep them updated. When I did respond that the second dog was sick and it was upsetting that there was exposure that caused them both to be sick, I received a neutral response essentially explaining how contagious the illness was and the general manager shaking off any responsibility. I am beyond upset and disappointed that this is the response provided by a vet run facility. Our pets are our family and I expect them to be well taken care of while at Pender. We were never warned of any outbreak and they really didn't care when we alerted them. We are still struggling with sleepless nights as the dogs continue to wretch through recovery and Pender didn't even give the courtesy of a response when we expressed our situation. We acknowledged that things happen and no facility can prevent an outbreak but how they handled the situation was completely unacceptable. Fortunately northern Virginia has a lot of options when you need to board your pet. Please look to a place that will protect your pet and keep them safe, you won't be guaranteed that here. Pebbles (blue heeler, 1.5 years old) would never listen to me, would not sit or lay still, and had a lot of other obedience issues that caused her to be stressed or confused. She was a TOUGH dog to train and I was concerned I couldn't find the solution for her to get basic concepts. This view has completely changed since working with RSK9's 3 week program. I would HIGHLY recommend them and their methods - you can tell they genuinely love working with dogs and it's made a huge difference in giving my dog the chance to find real rest at home. They send DAILY updates with photos and videos which was so nice. This isn't a regular class or something you just pay for; it's truly an investment that you and your dog will be using for the time you get to share together. Side note: it's worth doing 3 weeks versus 2 weeks. At the 2 week mark is when Pebbles really started to understand her marks and cues. From here there is so much more that can be refined and Brandi/Perry really capitalize on that threshold being crossed!

Brandi & Perry were amazing! Highly recommend working with them…read more We adopted a one year old mixed breed, Tuck, a few months ago. He's very sweet but started to get rambunctious to the point that my remote work felt challenging. He also started jumping or freezing when he saw other dogs on walks, and he occasionally barked or growled and men. We weren't sure if it was the start of aggressive behavior or just the result of a shelter dog that hasn't been exposed. After doing our research, we decided to do the 3 week behavior modification board and train program. We were really impressed from beginning to end. They shared a ton of information upfront, walked us through their facility (we opted to drop him off) and sent pictures and updates every evening. It became clear right away that they both have a very deep understanding of dogs, as well as a real respect and love for them. Tuck loved them! The best part was the "transition" day when Perry brought Tuck back and spent the day teaching us everything they've worked on together. We are first time dog owners so generally going in pretty blind. Perry gave us a 101 on dogs and the importance of clear and consistent communication. He talked through all of the layers of training and how/why it is effective. We felt this part was SO helpful for us to understand how to be better owners. Then we walked Tuck around the neighborhood with Perry guiding us and then spent time addressing indoor behaviors too. He was flexible and stayed until we felt comfortable with everything. This is a long review so the TLDR: finding a trainer is a big decision and investment so we wanted to get it right. Brandi & Perry were really incredible and beyond our expectations!! Truly worth every penny! Tuck has been doing really great at home and outside since being home. I've been able to work full days with him holding "place" on his cot, which would have been unheard of before!

Worried me was we couldn't see my dog on the cameras and we called asking where was my dog and if he was ok? The Manager Katty responded "he was in a treat break and all is fine" Second day same thing and we call them again and the Manager responding "they are out for a break and all is good" Okay. Next day I called to let her know that we going to pick him up at 4pm. Asked for the bath and get him ready. My husband went to pick him up and he noticed that my dog had injuries in his face both sides. The owner of the dog stop was there and she asked what happened with him to her staff and the young boy who watches the dogs said "he was playing aggressively with another dog and couldn't separate them" When he got home with my dog I soon they walked in the house I noticed clearly that my dog face was swallowed very much. I took a closer look and saw missing pieces of skin. The right side worse than the other one. We took a pictures and sent a complaint email to the Dog stop for the negligence and carelessness with my dog. We never get any response from them. We brought my dog to the Pet Hospital and they test and give him a skin treatment using strong medicine and cone. The medicine prescribed was for any inflammation, skin abnormalities, skin trauma. According to The Pet Hospital they say "can't say what was the cause or what happened they only see the facts and give the right treatment" We approached to the Dog place the Mgr wasn't there but we left the veterinarian records about my dog treatment. Later Mgr. Katty called saying my email went to spam email and my dog didn't have any injuries and nothing. She didn't know when it happened and probably he did himself" Also said spoke with my dog Hospital and they never said was a bite by dog" But they never said it wasn't neither because they don't know! Obviously she tried to play down and avoid any responsibility of neglecting my dog. Trying to put all the weight of this situation on my dog doctors statement. Never offered any apology or compensation for what happened or find any solution or alternative. Poor customer service! I will never bring my dog here again!!!
