Wanting…read moreto try out a local spot, I stopped by the downtown Lansdale location when passing through the area. There is a circular ordering area with a few high top seats and adjacent tables as you enter, with additional seating in the back. Interiors are a bit utilitarian and spartan for my tastes as I prefer a space that is more warm and welcoming. The exterior mural on the side of the building did give the place a bit more character. Many of the drinks only come in one 12 ounce size, so might not be the place if you prefer larger drinks. The mocha latte I ordered was a bit bitter and not excessively sweet, but otherwise strong. Service was a bit on the slow side, but they were experiencing a bit of a morning rush, so I won't hold it against them. While it's not a place I'd venture out of my way to visit again, Backyard Beans Coffee Company seems to be a solid coffee spot for locals and offer an ample menu of food items for those seeking something to eat.
