Great big cup of hot coffee

First time trying this restaurant, was up in the east Norristown area and spot this place,so I decided to stop, and I was sure glad I did, the resturant is 1950s themed and it's a family owned restaurant with great friendly staff, the original owner Tony comes by to greet everybody while his son cooks in the back. The food was so good, I ordered the cream chipped beef, and boy that was the best cream chip beef I ever had, I also ordered a side of scrapple Stix, it was just simply amazing a must try, my brother ordered the big bopper which comes with the massive huge fluff pancakes, it's also worth noting this is a cash only restaurant so be prepares

1950s on the walls, family restaurant with absolutely dope food based on my first visit. The eggs florentine was fast, melt in your mouth tender. Great blend of flavors. A+ would recommend for a family meal, open 7 days

First time visiting the restaurant for breakfast with my family after living in the area for a few years. This place is definitely a hidden gem. Retro vibe with great service and delicious breakfast options. The waitress was very friendly and the owner came around to each table to talk to the guests and also refill coffee. Will definitely be visiting this gem for more delicious meals.!

Travelling back to the 50's -- not only the décor or the setup, but the entire atmosphere, including the regulars sipping coffee and chat at the breakfast far. It's not pretentious, but the real deal. Food is no fuss, well priced, delicious comfort food. All your traditional breakfast items, nothing fancy, nothing is more than $11. If you need some old fashioned, comfort family breakfast, this is the place. Tony walks around the room and great all the guests. His kids are either cooking or waiting tables. There aren't many true family restaurants left in the area. It's comforting to see Jem surviving the pandemic and coming back strong. Let's try to keep it going for another 47 years. Note: Cash only, tax included in the price (there's an ATM).

This restaurant has a family diner feel. Has great breakfast specials and deceptively large pancakes. The service is quick, and the servers as well as the owner are great people. And for the amount of money paid, the portions of food are high.

Sadly posted hours on website and door said til 2. At 1:15 we were told they closed at 1. Won't be back. Saw two other cars do the same. If they can afford to turn away business, I can take it elsewhere

They have a solid happy hour menu (one of the few places around that still does half off apps without changing the portions) and weekly specials are great, too. My favorite is their taco Tuesday. $5.00 margs (they make their marg mix in house no pre-made surgery stuff!), $2 tacos, and $12 enchiladas which is a healthy portion and very fresh! My go to for appetizers are their honey way wing bites and the eggplant! As far as entrees go I always rotate between their salads and the short rib melt. Sometimes I wish the melt had just a bit more of the horseradish cheddar (I have asked for extra in the past) but overall it is very flavorful. Their menu does rotate every so often. Many things stay on for a while but if you see something missing, that is why! The owners work extremely hard and are always present. Wait staff is always friendly, too. Give this place a try if you haven't already!

The music is great, the energy is welcoming, and the staff truly makes the experience special. Azlyn makes the coffee, and she is so caring, kind, and focused. I love seeing young people who take pride in their work. she's a sweetheart and always professional. And then there's Rachel; my girl, the Biscuit Pusher . She's a ray of sunshine with such great customer service. She remembers me every time, and her energy is just unmatched. I might have to get her a pin that says Biscuit Pusher because she owns that title! The cashiers are friendly, management is attentive, and they genuinely want you to have a great experience. If there's ever an issue, they fix it right away. Tara, the owner, is amazing. Even when she's busy, she makes it a point to check on guests and ask how everything is going. She makes suggestions to make your biscuit sandwich selection go to another level. That level of engagement goes a long way. The quality of the biscuit is always on point. My only issue is that they tend to fall apart when you try to pick them up. I usually have to eat mine with a fork because they crumble so easily. I'd love if they could adjust the texture just a bit so they hold together better. If they did, they'd be perfect! If you haven't gone yet, get there. Let me know how your experience was. I'd love to hear.

The biscuits for their sandwiches are flakier and much better. If you think you have twenty-years left to live, you might want to knock out a few things on your bucket list before ordering. They have a sign that says something like this isn't fast food and there isn't anything fast here at all. The staff and customers all agree with that slogan. No one is hiding it. A few weekends ago, we waited over 45 minutes like idiots for our food. I had a $50 gift card, most went to this meal, and I was ready to walk out. Sadly, I didn't complain to management, because the line was longer than the line to order food. They said refunds would take one week and the people who said they really would never come back, had the managers get their food quicker than ours. It's an interesting business strategy to ensure the angry customers who won't return got their food first, but I get it. If less people frequent this place, then the lines won't be as long. They even said there was no manager on duty. Anyone watching the staff work would know that no one was lying. No utensils, napkins at the tables, just people sitting there waiting for their to-go order and then freeing a table later. If you are one of those weekend people with nothing to do until you have some structure at work on Monday, this is the perfect place to waste most of your day, to get you that much closer to work. Sweet treats are alright, nothing special. Breakfast sandwich could be worth it, but you could also go to the worst grocery store in town and make your own better biscuit and sandwich in the amount of time you have to wait. $8 left on our gift card and in a perfect world I'll misplace it.

While it was crowded we were waited on quickly and had service that was attentive but not overbearing. We started with cinnamon rolls that were perfectly soft and warm and came with a side of extra icing, which was a really nice touch. For lunch I had shrimp and grits. The flavor was good and presentation was nice. The shrimp were small, but there was a generous amount which helped offset the size. The space is open and has a nice mix of tables and booths. There are a lot of large windows, and it was freezing on the day we went so the restaurant interior was also freezing. They do have a fireplace, which is a nice touch, but didn't help with warmth.
