Cute coffee shop in an out of the way street. They have a pretty spacious interior with plenty of seating and a few tables set up on the sidewalk. I got a moka negra, the bottom is basically a layer of chocolate. So good! Not very strong coffee flavor, but that's how I like it. BEWARE: €10 MINIMUM CREDIT CARD SPEND. Unfortunately, we did not realize this so we ended up having to buy some bottled waters and a cookie in order to use our credit card. I am a coffee snob and always in search of great coffee shops around the world. When I was in San Sebastian/Donostia a couple of years ago, this was my go-to coffee shop both day and night. It has a Chinese theme going, but don't let that detract from you because the coffee and chocolate specialty drinks are primo. This would be considered a hipster place and that's okay, if done right. Wow! Fantastic coffee. Thanks to other Yelpers, popped in here to order a pair of Karajillos (4,20 € each) one black, one with milk, both with rum. They know how to do coffee and the place has a fantastic vibe with plenty of seating. Despite them burning off the alcohol earlier, my coffee had a strong kick that had me brave enough to climb a mountain after. Don't want coffee? If you're lucky enough to spend a beautiful day in San Sebastián, this is the eclectic type of hipster-heavy bohemian cafe that you either hope to find as salvation or resign yourself to in a depressed state after a long day climbing up Monte Urgull and winding around the Old Town (Parte Zaharra) and strolling more leisurely in the Gros district. Fortunately it turned out to be the former, as this was the second recommendation I decided to take from the Vagabrothers, a self-absorbed pair of YouTube-addicted travel junkies who sometimes know what they're talking about, this being one of those fortunate instances. Still energized by the youthful vigor of the area despite all the walking we did, Jamie W. and I were feeling a tad parched in the late afternoon but definitely not hungry enough to devour any pinxtos any time soon. There was hardly anyone in here, and even the barista was nowhere to be found for a few minutes. A friend of ours in San Sebastian told us about Koh Tao knowing our love of cafe culture and delicious Cortados. Koh Tao has a laid back vibe and is a haven for hipsters. They have a variety of drinks which include coffee, smoothies, and alcohol in the evenings as it turns into a bar at night. They serve some pastries and toast with jam in the mornings and around 11 a.m. or so, bring out a Tortilla de Patatas and some small sandwiches with Jamon. The Cortados are a tad milky but tasty nonetheless and it's nice to sit back with a cup and people watch. Service is friendly. Recommended. read more

Some say this place has a hipster feel to it, but I think it's just a cafe that serves up good quality coffee & snacks in a comfortable environment. If that means hipster, OK. This was the first place where I could not read the menu since it was all in Basque. Still, we were able to figure out what we wanted. The cortado seems to be what everyone gets here, and for good reason. That, an iced coffee, and an iberico bocadillo were only €4.90! This is a great little coffee shop for taking a little break in the afternoon and chill with the scenery. We stopped to warm up with a cup of carajillo, an espresso shot with rum or whiskey (I'm sure you can use other type of spirit). The rum was flambé for a while in front of us, which allows to burn the alcohol and accentuate the flavors in the spirit. Then, pour the coffee and a bit of sugar and the product is an amazing warm up drink. Service was very attentive and friendly. Definitely a nice spot to see and be seen. read more

Amazing little cafe nestled in the tiny streets of San Sebastian. Get here before the crowds of tourists from the nearby hotel get in. Order the cappuccino with a side of jamon. Fresh squeezed orange juice also provides a great decaf alternative for this cozy cafe with a very hip vibe. read more

Too bad we found this place on our last day. Loved the different spaces, all with a bohemian, bric-o-brac aesthetic. The breakfast options were delicious, notably the pan con tomate, one of my favorite Spanish breakfast dishes, done expertly well here with several options of fresh bread for the tostada. The café con leche was one of the best we had during our stay in SS. Best of all was the friendly staff who chatted with us about their favorite aspects of SS/Donostia, which they said is best enjoyed in the summer. Cute coffee shop in San Sebastian. Friendly workers who speak little to almost no English, but why would they speak English? You're in San Sebastian Spain! What's really nice about this place is you can get some great coffee and some real food...not just pastries. I bravely took my limited Asian American Spanish up to the counter and ordered a Kafe Letxe cuz that's the only thing I could make out as coffee and probably milk. I wanted food, saw there were several items on the food menu, but only one item contained the word "jamon", so I ordered it. I'm like a child in Spain and jamon is both the only word I can read&write and happens to be my new most favorite thing in the world. It was a delicious combo that had jamon in it...that's all that matters. I enjoyed sitting in this cool little coffee shop surrounded by strangers I couldn't understand. It was peaceful. Then, other Asians from America came in and that peace was gone. Thankfully they drank, ate, spoke that stupid American English quickly and left. The peace returned. read more
