Wow. Had three old VHS tapes which we roughly knew was on them plus a reel to reel tape with a rambling recording of our four year old son and two year old daughter decorating the Christmas tree 46 years ago. A father reliving a valuable time. So the tapes were a mix of meaningful things mixed with stuff we had no idea what it was. Who cared. The meaningful memories had been enhanced so well and put on a flash drive. They have to run everything at regular speed. There's no way to fast play and record and transfer. It's done in real time. Took hours to transfer. And they enhanced everything, making old sounds and videos clearer. Hours of tape transfer, transferred to a thumb drive all for just a bit more than $100. We watched some of it at his desk. To me it was a gift and will be for our kids. I asked Joey the wizard why he got into this business and he said you should see your face. I brought a VHS cassette to Koh Video to have them transfer to a DVD. The VHS tape had gotten folded and twisted a bit as it had gotten stuck in my DVD player. I needed this transfer done quickly because I had friends coming into town to view the performance that was recorded on the tape. Koh assured me that the transfer would be done in two days. To my surprise, I received a call from Koh the very next day informing me that my DVD was ready for pickup. I was so pleased by the extremely prompt and courteous service that I received. Koh Video could have charged me for 24 HR expedite service but they didn't. What can I say, they gave me great service at a great price! KOH Video transferred 5,400 feet of our old 8 mm and Super 8 films to MP4 format. The transfer appears to be excellent in quality as viewing the movies now on a TV screen is every bit as good as via the old way using a projector. So the quality of the job was excellent. Also, the film was supplied to KOH on 42 separate reels and it was our request that each reel identity be preserved in the final file format. This was achieved and we are able to date the files accurately and view them in chronological order. This set of videos is now a valuable family treasure that generations to come will be able to enjoy. In a next step, we hope to work with KOH Video to add a sound track to our videos. read more

I recently had a bunch of my Super 8s and VCRs from the 80s and 90s, including near 10 VCRs and 1800 photos, digitized by Joey at KOH. I had my beautiful family memories reduced and stored on a 32 FB memory stick. I gifted my siblings and my sons. So now my grown nieces and nephews who have children of their own can smile and reminisce watching themselves playing on the beach ... I brought in over 600 slides taken from 1969 - 1971. The conversion to digital took a little longer than they thought since the paper slide holders had come unglued over time. They had to tape the slide holder before it could be digitized. While a few of the slides were "backwards" they all looked very good for having been kept in the hot garage for 25 years. We have already sent some of the pictures to our daughters as a preview and they were excited to see our memories from before two of them were born. I have some old tapes that you can be sure I will bring to KOH Video for conversion. Their pricing is fair and they are very friendly and customer oriented. read more

I brought five big cardboard boxes of my parents' slides from the 1950's into Joey. They had been in garages and storage units for many years. I brought Joey 2 vhs tapes that were over 20 years old. They contained some valuable footage of a flight I took in an F-16 and a video that I made while stationed overseas. The service was top shelf and they were very knowledgeable, professional, and helped with questions even after all was done. KOH Video converted my VHS and 8mm films to DVD and digital files. They did a great job of not only converting them but enhancing the quality as well. Some of the 8mm are over 30 years old and they look great. Background music was added but not to the point that it over wrote any existing audio if there was some.
