Shout out and a very special "Thank YOU" to Steve and the shred driver! I am always trying to catch a "Shred day" event in Phoenix surrounding areas in which, there was one being held that I absolutely had to make a visit to. After rushing from picking up breakfast to make it to this event, I ended up being 5 min late but, I ran into the Shred truck driver who was just literally pulling off. The driver was nice enough to stop and accept my bulk. Steve happened to hear me asking the driver if I were too late (in which, the driver seen my tinny bags to Shred, on my back seat, and the driver was nice enough to tell me that he'd pull over to accept them since, I didn't have much). Steve came out to assist with getting my 1 1/2 bag of items shredded for me. I explained to Steve that I was thankful as I had been trying to catch these shredathons and that (although, I'm straight...respectfully) I rushed over after picking up my breakfast in support of Pride Month from an awesome restaurant (I didn't even mention yelp) but, Steve "IMMEDIATELY" asked me, if I by chance, happened to be an "ELITE" (which, surprised me that he'd ask and that he knew about us ELITE yelpers). I was flabbergasted! As we were pouring my recycling into the bin, Steve and I were chatting it up and he then, proceeded to tell me that they LOVED ELITE YELPERS!!! I was absolutely amazed by this acceptance of us, in which, he spoke highly. I recommend that, you guys start shredding your old documents instead of tossing into garbage cans, for safety reasons! ‍ They have locations all around Phoenix surrounding areas and they often have shredding drop off events that are free of charge. I just happened to GOOGLE and found this event. Again, shoutout to STEVE AND THE DRIVER who were extremely awesome humans.I offered to tip but they refused/declined. It never hurts to offer a tip guys. ‍ This location was in a office strip complex which GPS took me directly there, but it threw me off as I was expecting an industrial setting. I dropped off some old files today for shredding. These are the nicest folks, doing the right thing at a time when the food banks are running low on donations, and St. Mary's Food Bank is such a great cause!. This is the last chance for charitable shredding, that I'm aware of until Fall. It isn't completely clear in the post, but they will take your shredding Monday through Friday during business hours for the entire month of June. Needed to shred many years of documents and didn't want the hassle of loading up the car and driving down to Phoenix. I called ProShred and had them come out to my home. They provided me with a two hour window and they arrived on time. The truck operator was friendly and efficient.
