there should be a negative stars rating option. if you want bare minimum work to be done (and that's still if your lucky) then this is the shop for you! I went in because i had damaged my driver side caliper from hitting a curb. i knew for fact that there was something wrong with the brake system and i wanted them to check it out. my fuel efficiency had plummeted by about half, there was extreme amount of excessive heat being produced, Loud high pitched sounds and also a burning smell had started. also wanted the engine and cabin filters replaced. and the mai sensor and valve cleaned because I had a sensor tell me something inside of it was getting stuck open which I figured was from carbon buildup or something. they only changed the filters. wouldn't clean the MAI sensor/valve because as long as whatever it was was getting stuck open then it wasn't a big deal they said. and as for checking my brake system, specifically my caliper, they seriously said my brakes were brand new and everything was fine! less than a week later I ended up getting a flat tire on that same.wheel and the place I took it to to replace the tires also replaced my calipers for me and my brake pads after questioning my intelligence level by asking how I didn't notice all the symptoms/red flags that something was wrong!! when in fact I did! but unfortunately I had taken it to an incompetent shop by the name of Kohl Motors that had reassured me that everything was fine. for shame, kohl motors, FOR SHAME read more

Dropped off my Mercedes for my scheduled service on Monday via night drop on Sunday night to have my check engine light analyzed. No contact until I called late Tuesday and was told they haven't looked at it yet, but hoped to get it in Wednesday. No contact until I reached out again late Thursday and was told that they hadn't gotten it in to look at yet, but maybe Friday. Four days after my SCHEDULED appointment and they couldn't find 15 minutes to connect a code reader to the car? I told them not to touch the car and I'll be in to pick it up. Had service done getting an ac condenser put in and ended up failing, the quality of the parts are extremely poor and I wouldn't recommend them one bit. I called to question about warranty and was told it was out of their hands, upon me doing the job myself the welds were leaking refrigerant and it literally looked like someone sat on the condenser or something because it was bent and twisted. I called them and explained that the condenser failed and everything and was told to shut up and it's my problem and to not contact again by the owner!! I would give this place -5 stars if that was allowable, but since it isn't I will say this....HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! Will NOT return. I own a Smart car, made by Mercedes, not that it really has much relevance to my complaint but that car sat in their parking lot (which resembled a car graveyard), tucked away under an oak tree, covered in leaves and debris for 6 weeks!!! All I needed done was to replace a small plastic part for the ragtop so that it could roll open/closed properly. After a week, I called to check the status of my car and was told they were "waiting" for the part. Ok, fast forward this went on for 5 more weeks, but during those 5 weeks, never a call I received in reference to my car. No updates, nothing!! I believe the receptionist only has 1 line she must return dozens of time per day..."We are so backed up"...ok so then why do you take in more autos if you are that backed up in work???? was my thought. Very unprofessional business practice...no updates, no communication from the staff...no option to retrieve my car until the part comes in and they have time to repair it... nothing was offered to appease me enough to feel confident enough to bring my vehicle back. Upon retrieval of the car, they had NO problem attempting to turn it over to me in the filthiest condition it's ever been in. They did offer to clean it for me, which I thought was the very LEAST they could do. The odd thing is, the owner of the shop never came to me with an apology of any kind, it's was as though he was happy to be rid of it. By the looks of things at his shop, it appears he only wants to tinker with high end cars. Let this be a warning...if you don't drive a Benz, Mercedes, Jaguar, etc. you may as well forget this guy. read more

Excellent service! I brought my car in for an oil change and tune up and they were able to get me in that day. They were friendly and speedy and very honest. I appreciate that they're a trustworthy family owned business that won't try to sell you services you don't need or take advantage of you. My only qualm is that they are a bit pricier than most places in the area. Just to get an oil change, they charged me $95. They also charge a fee if you pay with a credit card so bring debit or cash! But it's worth paying a little extra to get this quality of service. Will definitely be using them in the future! read more

They are super sweet and provided great customer service. I broke down on the side of the highway they were so busy and didn't have an opening until next week they took my car and we're able to have it fixed the next day! Don't go to this place unless you have a bunch of extra money and time. They completely ruined my car. Rude employees and now my car is in another shop getting what they did wrong fixed. Get my car for 2 weeks charge me $700 and made the problems worse. I had my Mercedes towed in to Kohl's. They were very helpful and professional. The place is very nice and clean. Pat called me that very same day and told me what was wrong. I could tell by the way he was speaking to me that he wasn't trying to repair more on my car than need be, and only had the things replaced that absolutely needed it. Even though parts had to be ordered, my car was ready the next day. In the future, this will be my go-to place to have my car worked on. The experience was as painless as possible. read more

These people have more business then they can handle! I made an appointment and waited five days. They parked my car in the bone yard and let it set there I call to check to see if it was ready they take my number and never returned my call! The forth day they going to call me with progress report. That was the fifth days on a job that four hours job per the book rate! Then I the rude girl on the phone that put me on hold for 10 minutes I called back never answered just put me hold pattern again! I called back and she informed my car out front come and get it! No work has been done! I meet the owner about a month earlier nice talkie's chap I paid him $450 and the didn't fix my issues then! It seems they got more business than they can handle! Customer Service is something that they could less about! My money spends any where and I loss confidence this type of business owner. Labor rates and 300 % parts mark up is what dealership get away with.... If your going to business here use caution and make them explain everything that bill you for and request the used parts back when the job is done ! This we'll keep these type honest and might save you paying for work they didn't do! After no repair place would touch my mercedes I had it towed to Kohl motors. Ladies at the front are polite and sweet and the service guys were great. The mechanics are well trained and the owner stands behind his work. I have had to have work re-done in the past due to bad parts and they have always done the re-work at no extra cost. I am currently in the process of selling my 2006 Toyota Scion XB, a potential buyer was very interested after test driving the car so she asked if she could bring it to a mechanic for them to take a look at it then she was ready to buy. She picked up my car and drove it to Kohl's. She had no issues with the vehicle on her 20 minute commute there. She got it there the mechanic lifted it to look at it and now I have a check engine light on and two other lights that are now on that I had no clue were even in my car. I took it back there and demanded them explain and they said the lights were on when they got in it. Now I have lost my sale on the vehicle and I have to come out of pocket to fix this issue when there wasn't an issue at all until they got under my car. I am the only owner of this vehicle I have had it for 6 years and I have never had the check engine light come on. I would not recommend anyone using this mechanic shop. read more

After being sold on a rebuilt eng. job, I had my truck towed to them.PAT told me and SOLD me that the engine would arrive in 1 day. Got a call the next morning from one of the secretaries, all they had right was my phone #! EEKS!!!!! I called the next afternoon to see what the status was on my truck- (since I was having to rent a car; and I told them I would keep them up to date)-- I was told Pat would call me back. Since it was appx. 4:00 in the afternoon, and they didn't call- I gave them the benefit of the doubt--so I called after 8:00 the next morning, Pat said"So you'll quit bugging me, I'll get back to ya." NEVER DID. Talked it over with many people and everyone agreed- GO GET YOUR TRUCK!!!! On my day off--two days later--I go down in person, when I go in and say my name , there was whispers among the three of them, Pat, Gail, and other secretary that never said her name. Pat goes to the back of the shop. Gail tells me after waiting for appx. 15 min.--that the engine was not delivered until Friday; the truck would not be ready until Wed.--Which is when I had to return the car. I told her the predicament and she goes to the back, Pat comes in the office and yells "Its a day and a half job" I said, I didn't inquire about how long the job took. He goes off, "Yes you did, I haven't started on the truck and I can send the motor back" I have my headset on and my atty. says, "Tell him to send it back!" I look at Gail, as she is holding the paperwork, and she says, "You're good".I leave. Then I get a call about 30 minutes later, telling me I had a tow bill. These people really need to get it together; what's wrong with keeping a person updated about their vehicle? Guess he thought he had an easy sell cause I'm a female. Fooled him.
