I had some Kohls cash that was about to expire and I can't let that happen lol! I needed to spruce up my guest bathroom. So I needed towels without breaking bank. Kohl's had some decent towels on sale. Like $4.99. Now this wasn't luxury cotton but it will do for a guest bathroom. They had nice housewares, and other stuff for the house on sale. The clothes were mehhh. The styles and the prices were not great. The store was rather empty for a weekday afternoon. Hardly any employees on the floor. Only ick was they have self checkouts. Which I despise because I feel that it takes away a job from someone, and if im doing your job I should get an employee discount! Also they no longer do Amazon returns!! Overall, i like my neighbor Kohls. I wouldn't make a special trip here. read more

Did you ever notice how the registers with staff were long with ample space to set purchases on? Not only is there no longer anywhere to set your purchases down, you have to ring them up yourself AND take the ink tags off. What a terrible customer experience. Bring back real registers. Like so many other loyal customers, I used to love going to Kohl's and now I absolutely hate it. I mostly just go there if I have an Amazon return, but I was just there at 4 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon and they had literally one cashier doing everything, purchases and returns. No one at the self check out to help anyone and one person back at the Amazon return counter. What is the reasoning behind this? You are frustrating your loyal customers so much that they're not shopping in your stores anymore.What is going on with you Kohl's? Kohls, a customer service drama.  On Black Friday I purchase a few items including a digital picture frame (perfect for my elderly, out-of-state grandmother to see her new great-grandbabies).   That Sunday I was wrapping the gifts that I'd purchased and realized that the digital picture frame was missing. Since I wanted to pre-load it with photos I was bummed. I called Kohls to explain what happened and even let them know which register I checked out at (womens dept, the register closest to the womens apparel with two teenage girls working: one ringing/one bagging).  The customer service person said that she had taken my info. and that she would have the manager follow up with me. Three calls and a week later I received a voicemail that I could bring my receipt to the store to take care of this issue/pick up a new frame.   I drove 1.5hrs to Kohls, receipt in hand, to pick up my frame. Upon arrival at the customer service desk I explained to an associate (Haley) what had happened. She had me repeat the story and then asked me if I'd brought a replacement frame with me to the customer service desk. I said that I had not and she suggested that I go find a frame in the store to replace the one that was missing. With a line of several customers behind me and an infant with me I said that I would need to know where the frames were in the store but that I didn't know if my going in search of a replacement was the most efficient course of action. Upon review Haley said that there were no frames in the store (would have been an interesting search for one had I gone to look).  At this point another customer service associate stepped in and said that there was a frame in the front of the store (she found out that morning) set aside for me (yay!), but returned a short while later to say that the frame was not there any longer (womp, womp).  At this point Haley suggests that I: (1) should use the self-help kiosk to order a new frame and expedite shipping. I pulled up the item on my phone and showed her that it was not available to expedite.  (2) Drive 2.5 hours from my home to get one from a VA store (I asked if that frame could be shipped to me and was told no and a store-to-store transfer would take 8 weeks).  Then I would back to the Frederick location to have the manager refund me the price of the frame. To be clear, this is a 3- 5 hour additional driving commitment in addition to the hour and a half that I already took on the weekend ahead of Christmas to resolve for a store that forgot to give me my item. (3) I could have a refund for the price of the frame less the Kohls cash (which I had used) amounting to about $50 of the $80 that I originally spent.  If you're still with me at this point you have far more patience than I do.  I have never felt so undervalued as a customer; I'm not one who frequents Kohls and following this experience I won't be back. Update: I called corporate and the Frederick store manager and team denied knowing anything about the situation. I will give major kudos to the corporate office though, their customer service was top notch; I couldn't have been more pleased at how quickly they called and resolved! read more

I used to love Kohl's. I lived for the days the 30% coupon would arrive. I got such great deals and was a happy shopper. However, the 30% no longer works on 80% of their merchandise. Their prices are excessively expensive without a 30% off coupon. I found a beautiful set of cookware I wanted, but they were $159. I put them in my cart only to find out my 30% did not apply to them. So, I found them on Amazon, exact same set, for $79. Kohl's has lost my business for sure! read more

if i could rate zero stars i would. experienced racism and made my partner feel very uncomfortable and targeted. they had called security over the comms to the section we were in (we were the only two there) and a lady came and glared down only my partner who is black, and im white. we were watched all the way to checkout and until we left the store, and I had no idea until after when he told me how he was getting stared at because i was not. i could have been stealing just as well as he could have yet he was targeted and racially profiled by staff. terrible service, very disappointing in 2025. don't come to this store. read more

The cashiers were wonderful and helpful, also I got a 30% discount on my purchase, so I was delighted.

I generally dont shop at Khols, in Atlanta they are a good 20-30 miles away from my home and I'm not a fan of their return policy so I generally avoid them. I went into the store to exchange an item I;d purchase a few days before and had my receipt but when I got to the register, I was told since it was not an even exchange, I had to take the item back to the customer service area to make the return/exchange. Their kids department 75% girls clothing and 10% boys clothing and the other 15% goes for toys and games for kids. I will give them and extra star for having plenty of staff on hand, some are not helpful but they can at least direct you to the area of the store where they think things are. Be sure to try kids shoes on the kid before purchasing if possible, I purchased a pair of kids flip flops with the strap on the back that helps them to keep them on their feet, when I got back to the house with the shoes and put them on one of the straps was extremely stretched out and when he took a couple steps the entire shoe came off his foot as if it was too big. Their pricing is sort expensive for the type of store it is. I couldn't believe Levi's were almost $40 a pair. I can buy them from Levi or Macys at that cost. The brand is pretty good and making you think you are getting a good price, but my experience is their pricing is the same and the big box retailers. read more

I'm not sure who's idea it was to put customer service in the back of the store but they need to rethink their strategy. If they think that people will see and buy their mistaken and then to top it all off the Amazon return section is separate. So while the Customer Service girl stands their with her arms folded doing nothing the girl doing Amazon has a line back to the front of the store. read more

This more so is a review for the Sephora, not Kohls. Last weekend me and my friend went into the Sephora store inside of Kohls to shop around. My friend was trying on different shades of a particular concealer to insure she got the correct one. while she did this I was looking around the skincare section. This entire time I'm noticing the 2 working associates behind the counter starting at us and I even see a few laughs here and there. so i finally choose something and is holding it my hand and talking to my friend. And I look over one of the associates are now starring at me and what's in my hand like a hawk, as if I'm about to run out of the store or something. So finally, because I was getting so uncomfortable and a bit irritated at this point I just go up to the register to pay and at the same time the other associate goes up to my friend and says "You can take a picture of the different shades, if you're having trouble" basically saying to stop. Although these are all testers for customers. So once I'm done checking out I take a picture of the shades and we leave the Sephora. As 2 person(s) of color this was a VERY uncomfortable & unfortunate situation. Maybe go back to the drawing board when it comes to screening your hires for Morale. And maybe add a Class for new hires focusing on diversity and inclusion. Thank you. read more

It's always clean, the bathrooms are fantastic and plentiful, online returns are a breeze and you basically can buy everything here and NOT go to the mall (whew!). It's like a downmarket Nordstrom and all the diffusion lines keep up with the trends and are also timeless. My husband even had to buy a suit here and did it in a snap. Let's face it. Nobody shops at retail stores anymore. It won't be long before we're all working for Jeff Bezos. As much as the prospect of 5 corporate entities enslaving the entire planet scares the hell out of me I must say I'm going to get great joy out of Kohls going out of business. I must give them their props. By becoming an Amazon Returns depot they probably prolonged their inevitable fate...but it's coming and I feel I must be there with champagne when it happens. Recently I had to return two items I ordered on Amazon. One of the return options was to drop the items off at Kohls. I figured what the hell, I pass Kohls every day on my drive home. I'll give it a try. I arrived at their Guilford Road location at about 9:15 am. I was surprised to see a huge line of people cued up deep into the toy section. I decided I had come this far, I might as well stick it out. There was one person at the register moving at a deliberate pace and holding friendly conversation with each customer like they were long lost relatives. "Okay, relax. You're going to drive yourself crazy. Don't even look at her" After about 20 minutes I get to the head of the cue, not quite at the customer service desk but damn close. It was then that I see it. A little sign propped up on the pole that holds the velvet rope: "Effective today. All amazon returns will be processed at the back of the store near the bedding department." You're kidding me, right? Couldn't they put a sign at the rear of the line? So that idiots like me don't queue up and wait 20 minutes only to find out they're in the wrong f*ing line? WTF! Now I'm pissed. I walk out of line and head for bedding only to be intercepted by an older store clerk. "No Sir. Amazon returns are still done at customer service." "But the sign says..." "NO SIR! YOU HAVE TO GO BACK TO CUSTOMER SERVICE." The woman is losing patience with me. Clearly this is my fault for learning to read in grade school. As I looked back the line had advanced. The people behind me were now at the head of the cue. I gave up and left the store. Walking past empty isles with absolutely no shoppers in it. Clearly, all the action was at the customer service desk. It appears Kohls now has only one job and they can't even do that right. The moral of the story is that if you have to return an Amazon item, just print out a return label and take it to the Post Office. read more

My daughter found a pair of shoes she wanted, but there was no price. I found a sales associate and when she scanned them they came up item not found. She had never seen that before so she called over the store manager, Anil. He was so rude!! He said since they wouldn't scan he wouldn't sell them to me. I then used my kohls app and found the shoes with the price, showing as available for store pick up. He said no he couldn't sell them to me. Told me they could hold them and on Monday I could come back in and see if they could sell them to me or order them online. I was like wait, I can't buy shoes that are on your shelf?? Isn't that why they are on the shelf? To be purchased?? I don't have time to come back Monday to see IF they can sell them to me!! He then told the associate to take the shoes to the back room. He was rude the whole time! I then went to customer service and they were like "that is weird. We have a machine that can make a new tag for them". I went back to the shoe section and told the associate that I wanted the shoes because customer service was willing to help me. Got the shoes, went to customer service and it took them all of 30 seconds to find the item number and print a bar code!! Meanwhile the jerk of a manager wasted 15 mins being a jerk and refusing to even try and find a solution!!! I asked at customer service if there was anyone else higher up I could speak to and they said no that Anil was the store manager. Well if he is the store manager it's no wonder there are people reviewing saying there is bad customer service! He clearly has no idea what it means to provide decent customer service! It wasn't just that he refused to sell me the shoes it was how he talked to me! Like I was gum on his shoe!! It was ridiculous! I spend thousands at Kohls. But I will not be back to the Frederick location. Anil is a horrible manager and needs some re-training on the service industry! I am a huge fan of Kohls. I don't see how it is Kohl's fault that the reviewer did not check to make sure her shoes were okay before buying them. I am SURE that they were exchanged without any questions asked, because that is their policy. I shop both online and in store. Their staff is pretty friendly (especially Beth in returns). Their sales are great. (As for Levi's being the same price at Macy's, they are the same price everywhere! It is actually the Levi's company that dictates how cheap they can be sold for.) I think they have a terrific selection for the most part, but in all fairness I am not a fashion connoisseur. Lol And when I need something a little nicer, I go somewhere else. read more

I found the people working there extremely rude.. I have shopped at kohl's a number of times but this was my first time at this particular kohl's. I walked up to a lady to ask for help and it was as if I made the biggest mistake of my life.. That lady gave me look that said "Why.. How dare you disturb me?" .. then when trying to check out- Rude cashier.. not sure what she has against us but we were there yesterday and asked about a coupon and she explained to us that they don't accept coupon off an app. We said fair enough thanked her and started walking out of the store. She didn't stop there. she called all cashiers and told them not to accept coupons from us(she explained how we looked). We still thought fine she is doing her job but we went there again today with a kohl s coupon and she yells across the store to the cashier we were at, saying don't accept coupon on the app. My wife corrected her that we have a kohl s coupon and not any app hut she went on talking with the other cashier that don't accept the coupon make sure you checked their coupon properly. We didn't buy anything and walked out of the store. Never going back there again. read more

Customer service was very unhelpful with Kohl's cash. Had 2 purchases which together totaled way more than $100. Was told I could combine the two--Since the purchases were less than 12 hours apart. Typical Kohl's-perhaps a bit smaller in size, selection, and with less organization than average. I haven't had any issues with them so far, but did hear another customer complaining to management about a rude employee who apparently had no interest in doing her job. At the corporate level, I'm tired of the pricing games. And the clothing never seems to fit anyone in our family the way it does in most other stores. I've several times shrunken garments when carefully following washing instructions and beyond-cold water, gentle cycle, no dryer. And yes, the sales help pushing charge applications are annoying, but that's common everywhere. I occasionally shop there along with Boscov's and Macy's. (Can't tolerate the mildew at the local JC Penneys). read more

I ordered an item from Kohl's on Black Friday (two weeks ago). The order went through, they charged my card. Today, I got an email saying they cancelled my order. After talking with customer service, I guess they just went out of stock. There out of stock everywhere except Craigslist and ebay (now triple the price). I realize it's such a small issue, but it was the only thing my little girl wanted for Christmas. Kohls did't ruin my our holiday, but they have kinda put a damper on her Christmas. read more

I used to love kohals!! But the prices have gone up and the customer service way down! It's hard to find things in the woman's clothing section because things are just so messed around and dug threw, I need a new bra but not paying 50$ for one! I go threw the home goods section just for fun every now and then, and most of the appliances have dust on them, not a big deal with me, but it dousent make the store look good.
