I don't shop here often but I recently came in to return an item from Amazon and when you return an item, you get a kohl's discount on future purchases. The reusable, washable fabric shower curtain from the brand Sonoma is excellent and I've purchased it here before so I bought it again to replace the existing one. The clearance section seems really large this time around and actually found a sweater dress for $6. It's hit or miss with these deals but if you are looking for something, you may find a great deal. read more

In a Friday afternoon, there was one cashier, a line about 10 deep for approximately 40 minutes with no one assisting the poor cashier. I come here regularly to return Amazon merch and I FREAKING HATE IT! Sometimes there is an associate back there taking returns other times THEY ARE NO WHERE TO BE FOUND and have to be radioed from the front. I never come at night around close because they close Amazon early even though it should be in operational hours ALWAYS. They always say "sorry my manager is having me do something else" idk who this manager is but if you are going to accept Amazon returns during business hours ACCEPT AMAZON RETURNS DURING BUSINESS HOURS. Updated review (January 29, 2019). I have been to this Kohl's many times since my yelp review of this store last spring. I mainly come here to return items I purchased through Amazon. That has been a fantastic service. Not that I return many things from Amazon because I usually don't, but it's very convenient when I do, walking into Kohl's with the item you're going to return and have it all taken care of for you right there. I don't even have to package it myself. Wonderful. I have some advice for you if you are returning something from Amazon at Kohl's. Don't be like the lady in front of me. Today, I was returning something (from an Amazon purchase) and I had to wait, wait, wait (in line quite a while) because a lady in front of me was trying to return some shoes and they were having a problem with the Amazon return. It took forever and she ultimately still didn't get to drop off her shoes that she was trying to return. That lady held up the entire line because she didn't follow SIMPLE instructions FIRST by doing her homework FIRST/BEFORE she got to the Kohl's. In the meantime..... I'm waiting, waiting, waiting, (along with other people also in the return line) because the lady didn't pay attention to the simple Amazon return process. The long wait in line could have easily been avoided had she actually followed the Amazon return instructions but of course.... she didn't. If you are returning an item to Amazon at Kohl's, do the following before coming to Kohl's: 1) BEFORE you drive to Kohl's, you must start the return process through Amazon.com. Be prepared and do that AT HOME FIRST not while you are at Kohl's. I repeat, do that at home FIRST, not while you're at Kohl's. 2) While on Amazon.com as you initiate the return, make sure you have selected "Drop off at Kohl's". 3) Make sure you have the barcode that Amazon has emailed you containing the information about the return. If you don't have a barcode, then you have NOT completed the return process correctly. The barcode needs to be visible on your phone. If you don't see the barcode, then you haven't completed the return process correctly. Go back to step #1 above. 4) Do not, I repeat, DO NOT go to Kohl's to return your Amazon purchase unless you have the barcode Amazon emailed you visible on your phone. Important: Bring your phone (with amazon barcode visible) to Kohl's. It's actually quite a simple process if you have followed the simple return instructions on amazon.com. If you have followed the simple instructions FIRST, you will have a smooth return experience and you won't aggravate/frustrate other people in line behind you and by doing your homework first, will keep the return line running smoothly like it should. Even better if you work the specials, discounts, and Kohls Cash like we do. The staff is friendly and there is one woman in customer service (with a British accent) who is absolutely the best. I've usually come here and people have mostly been nice but this time was kind of strange all the store employees that I walked past and talk to were on their phones, even all the checkout workers and the greeters. So I mentioned It to the greeter as I was walking out of the store and she said "we are allowed to if we are not doing anything"... Made me question how is it that every employee is not doing anything when people are in the store. Even though they greeted me and said thank you for coming (while looking at their phones). 52. Love this location. They periodically mail me coupons, so I always take advantage of them. I've only been here when the store is practically empty, which is amazing. No lines for fitting rooms! Really appreciated the above & beyond customer service I got at the jewelry counter on 2/7/21 (0599/0062/5090/6 3053XXX) Was shopping for a Valentines gift for my daughter & was clueless about the differences in gold chains being sold on line versus in store. The sales associate took the time to show me samples of all the online ones I had been considering as well as a few other options in store and described the features/advantages of each. I shop at this Kohl's because I find it to be cleaner and more orderly than the one in Glendora. I only come when I have a 30% coupon and then oh watch out!! It tends to be pretty crowded on the weekends the best time to come, is during the week. I think they have great sales plus your coupon you can really score!! ** do not schedule pick up during covid at this store location ** I order many items from Kohl's and usually get them shipped but this order said I could pick up the same day in La Verne. Seeing as it's not too far, I decided to just pick up instead of waiting a week for my order. Huge mistake! I ordered 9 items in total; 6 to pick up and 3 for delivery because they weren't available at this store. The pick up is super easy, but if you're missing an item or there is a problem with one of your items you're pretty much stuck with it. Calling customer service won't help because all they can do is ship you a replacement, at the same price you already paid for! So pretty much, I paid twice!! I ordered two packages of men boxers, each should have 5 items; totaling in 10 boxers. The first package was already opened!! With a huge hole and only had 3 boxers! Worst part is that it was obvious that it had been opened and torn as the boxers were falling out of the package and were just shoved in there, not even folded. (Anyone working picking orders could see this was a damaged bag with missing items). The second bag also opened!!! but no holes. This package was also missing an item; only had 4 boxers . To sum up, I have two separate packages given to me with OBVIOUS damage to the packaging and to think that any Kohl's worker would think a customer wouldn't notice is ridiculous! Calling Customer service can only help by shipping a new item but I'll be forced to pay again!!! I nowhave to hold on to the damaged merchandise until Kohl's reopens! Lol so in the meantime I'm out that extra cash because since it was a pick up, customer service can't refund me. Bottom line I will never pick up at this location again. It's ridiculous that customers are treated like idiots by the staff. Ridiculous to believe the staff though a customer would be stupid enough not to notice their putting torn/damaged merchandise in their pick up bags. Everyone, please do not order from Kohl's In La Vern. When you place your order there is no option to cancel. My daughter placed an order for pick up but decided to cancel bc Upland was 20.00 less for the exact same thing. She figured since there was no option to cancel she would not pick up and it would be credited back. She had until Mother's Day to pick up. She gets an email today (Saturday) that her order from La Vern was pick up. My pregnant daughter due in 2 weeks is now freaking out bc it showed someone picked it up. She calls and speaks with some lady by the name of Pat who insisted that my daughter selected on app that she was there to pick up. My daughter explained that there is no such thing on app. My daughter told her that NO I would have to call and say I was there. Pat then has the nerve to say Oh we went out there and no one was out there. Come on Pat get your story straight. Then my daughter called back to ask for loss prevention, lady Vedilia answers and tell my daughter there is no loss prevention. Vedilia tells my daughter that everyone is out to lunch and will be leaving early. I hear my daughter trying to get this straightened out but it sounds like Kohl's employees at the La Vern store are shady. WARNING... employees will mark your order as picked up without you being there and charge for something you never picked up. Managers you need to fix this ASAP or be considered part of a scam. Today's date May 9, 2020 Update... May 12, 2020 Tuesday. Daughter stressed for two days. Finally on Monday morning spoke with a manager named Sue. Thank you Sue for reassuring my daughter that she would have it straightened out by midnight. Sue agreed with my daughter regarding cameras and it would show where that purchased went. Yes!! Tuesday morning money credited back to her account. Kohl's La Vern I would love to give you 5 stars for Sue handling this situation ASAP but then there's Pat who actually accused my daughter of lying and Vedilia saying you had no loss prevention and that everyone was leaving early. I don't know what it is about this Kohl's, every time I come for an Amazon returns, the people working in that department are always so rude, no customer service, act like we're bothering them when we show up, I could go on. This is the only department I go in to Kohl's where I have this issue. Amazon returns is also the primary reason I come to Kohl's. This is happened three times now in recent days. Management should teach this department how to have at least basic customer service skills, this is such an important part of getting people to come back to the store. I'm just gonna be going to other drop off location because interacting with these people is so uncomfortable for me. After I put in rewards card on a purchase that I share with someone else, the staff demanded I hand over my debit and drivers license without any explanation. When I inquired as to what the problem was, they started giving me explanations regarding the rewards and a charge card that was linked to the account. They provided no clarification or insight as to what the problem was. When I tried to find out more details, and expressed that I had not ever had this problem before, they backed out of the interaction and or provided various opinions. It is my feeling that they decided I was a security breach for whatever reason without founded evidence. I was in the store on Jan 8th around ~6:30pm grabbing a few things and when I went to check out , a customer at another checkout was being rude and quiet the jerk to an employee, who I found out her name is Breeon(sp?), about the mask policy. Of course he was not wearing one and she treated the situation perfectly and with such grace. As unmusical sounding as name sounds, Kohl's is a good place to go during sale times as you can often find good clothing deals. They did not send me a notification that payment was due; then, when I find out I have a late charge, I call and they say that I needed to make the payment plus the late charge. I told the Rep that I did not get any statement and she promised to send me a paper statement. I got the paper statement...exactly one month later! And, of course, another late fee.
