We needed to return a $150 coffee pot that I bought online because it was leaking. I did not have the box but did have the emails supporting my purchase and delivery. So I wasn't sure how the return would go. But Carla, at the return desk was super efficient, pleasant and professional and had a credit posted to my account within 2 minutes, using information from my emails. We shopped (to use some of that credit since I had already paid the bill) and a clerk in rhe store was also super friendly and helpful inquiring if we needed help. This kohls department store is located in the hip view neighborhood of Louisville just off Preston Highway right as your entering bullitt county. Very nice and spacious store. If your not familiar with kohl's they are a department store that sells clothing, toys, home appliances, shoes, and etc. they run great sales frequently and really have a great rewards program for there valued customers. Kohls on a whole hour can find amazing deals on great brands. However when a sale isn't being ran it can get pricey. But there sales are frequent and great. One of the new perks Kohl's and this location has added that I love is the return an Amazon product in store and they handle all the shipping for you. That's a great and smart partnership with Amazon. Makes it another and easier for customers. Overall this is a nice location. They do a good job of keeping it stocked and clean and the workers here are usually friendly. read more

Wow has khols gone down hill. First, I went looking for shoes... none of the shoes have pricing. They want you to download the app and scan them.. when you do an alert pops up that pricing online is different than in store.... Okay then why did i spend the time to do all that when the price isn't even accurate. Not to mention if you could find a shoe you liked, the boxes were no where near the display. I literally could t find one pair I was looking for and I looked for a half hour. Finally gave up and went to look at the clothes only to see that department unorganized too. Find a pair of shorts and go to find my size there's a 3, then 17 then a different pair of shorts all together... same with every shirt or dress I liked. Some tank tops on this side of the store and the same ones on the other side. I have never been so frustrated... just walked out with nothing after being there more than an hour simply. My mothers pickup order was stolen out of the pick up bins. They workers told her she could make an in-store exchange, which would've been fine if they didn't suck the $20 of Kohl's cash out of her account. Instead of helping my mom get her money back, the worker got frustrated because she didn't know what she was doing and made my mom leave the store. Wouldn't send my worst enemy to deal with these entitled folks. read more

I was super impressed by how quickly I was able to get through the line at the register given how close to the holidays it is. Add to that the cashiers were very friendly. They have what you're looking for, unless it is someone to help you find something or figure out a price. If you buy something here full price you're not doing it right: things will go on sale. You just need to keep an eye out. I don't hold out high expectations for people who work in retail, we pay them peanuts and are awful to them. I mostly go to Kohls for mens clothing, but I usually leave empty handed. Most of the clothing department (for men) falls into one of two categories: urban or "I am retired and I want to play golf or live in Florida". Some of the selection does fall outside that box, but not much. I do find a few things sometimes. This is not the biggest Kohls in Louisville, yet the amount of mens clothing merchandise seems to be just as much as the bigger Kohls stores. The amount of kitchen essentials seems to be decent as well. It seems like the areas of non-kitchen housewares is where they cut corners for the limited space. I'm not a sports fan, nor do I play sports, but I have noticed a decent amount of athletic clothing including UK, UofL, and other teams. I do not go to Kohls regularly, but it is a place I visit maybe once everything three months just to see what's going on. This location happens to be a convenient location for me. read more

Horrible store and customer service, I just went to return something and the lady told me I couldn't return it for my money back and that I had to get it back as a gift card. It was before the 30 day limit, with the original receipt and also had the matching card that it was purchased on!!! They refused to credit the money back so I ended up keeping the item because I will not be shopping there anymore. In my opinion Kohl's prices are a little high, but you can always find great deals if you sign up for email alerts. They usually have good email coupons. Kohl's also gives cash rewards, depending how much you spend. The emails also alert you when they are having sales. This is a way to get an extra 20%-40% off your purchase. For example, today I found out through email alert they were having a store sale. Everything I bought was already reduced because the sale, plus I used an email coupon for an additional 20%, and also used my Kohl's reward cash. All these things you can use together. The only con is they don't give you enough time to use your Kohl's reward cash, before it expires. I do find that their sizes run a little off, depending on which of their brands your buying. So it's best to try things on first, atleast until you get to know how each of their brands run. The store and fitting room was clean, and the staff was nice. I went in to return some items and Roma was an older lady working in customer service. The woman in front of me in line had a her hair cut short "like a guy" and had on men's clothing, but she had makeup on and was strikingly beautiful. Roma politely helped her and as soon as she turned around to leave, Roma gave her the most horrible look of disgust, rolled her eyes and mumbled something under her breath. I was shocked at her blatant disrespect of another human being, especially in front of other guests. The fact that she did that when the woman turned her back is disgraceful. If you are employed and working customer service of all things, you should NEVER behave in such a rude, disrespectful way, and I feel sorry for the woman who was unknowingly judged by the way she looked. It took all I had not to say something, but I had my children with me & I didn't want to cause a scene. Roma should get some extra training on how to treat people, regardless if they are looking or not. read more
