I came in looking for a suit to wear to my up coming wedding. I've been to multiple shops around town and national retailers but nothing compared to my experience with the staff at Him. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. They made size and fit recommendations and offered to order something that wasn't in stock (I have a odd frame) they simply contacted me when it was available and offered to tailor it to fit. They obsoletely went above and beyond what any other store would do. The selection of clothing is nice and stylish. They have everything you'll need for work and social events. They'll dress you head to toe! Keep in mind this isn't your $10 T-shirt shop or a place you'll find a cheap button up. The quality of items they have is top notch and made to last. I've been a shopping with Him and her since it was Just him. Until today I was a fairly satisfied client. When trying to return some previously purchased items I was made aware of their "14 day return policy". This is highly disappointing to me. I can totally appreciate their policy. I just feel they could do a better job conveying it to their clients. Needless to say I will probably never darken their door again. read more

HIM Gentleman's Boutique sits on the popular section of Frankfort Avenue here in Louisville. There is another HIM Gentleman's Boutique across the bridge in New Albany, Indiana as well. I reviewed that location over the summer. I suggest visiting both locations to catch the different but equally as trending styles. The Frankfort Avenue location holds on to small bits of the rustic feel that the original New Albany location has but modernizes it. This location has a more airy feel and look and as you walk in there is usually a friendly face at the checkout counter facing the entrance, greeting you into the wonderfully laid out store. Guys, we eventually have to realize that though we should have been doing it all along, there comes an age when it's finally time to learn how to dress appropriately. It's time to put some thought in what we put onto our bodies, whether it be to attract that one person, to raise your confidence level once you see how those new threads fit your body, if you want to look more grown up and sophisticated or because you really just need some good clothes for that particular season. If you hate spending hours at the busy malls, HIM is a timesaver. There is something in this store for every budget and for every occasion. I have bought some awesome fitting shorts in the summer that showed off just the right amount of leg (I know women can appreciate seeing that skin too, don't lie) that I would have never been able to find on my own on all those racks at the mall, to some of the best fitting underwear in the world (read my other location review for another mention of what I'm talking about), I got my suit jacket for a wedding I attended here, and most recently I got my one of a kind Naketano winter jacket. Because Louisville weather has a mind of its own and can change from week to week, I find HIM Gentleman's Boutique to be a shop I visit frequently to help me dress according to whatever weather mother nature decides to hit us with that week. Ross is the owner behind these great stores in Kentuckiana. Not only is he a friendly guy, he has such a good eye for choosing the best styles that fit a wide range of people and he carefully chooses what goes into his stores. You can expect to find something you will like no matter your budget, your age, or your body shape/size. And if Men's Wearhouse hadn't trademarked that one well know phrase, HIM should have been the business to use it. From underwear, to boots, to jackets, and hats, HIM Gentleman's Boutique has everything to dress you from head to toe. I wish this place continued success and I really don't know how many hours I would've wasted shopping elsewhere had I not found out about Ross and Him Gentleman's Boutique a few seasons ago. I hope to save you from that frustrated and hopelessly wandering feeling by telling you about this place. This place rocks! They have a little bit of everything and the items are different every time I come in! From the guy who wears nothing but t-shirts to the guy that is in business attire 24/7 and everything in between this place is for you. Plus, having a staff that recommends and pairs clothing that actually looks good on you rather than a 16 year old kid who tells you everything looks great to bump up their sales helps a ton. I came here the other day with my family, looking to kill some time while my mom was hitting up NOVA for some hair product. The store is easy to find, welcoming, and smells warm. The gentleman who greeted us was kind and thoughtful, as my brother had some coffee in his hand and didn't want to accidentally spill it - he offered to keep it at the checkout. The products are very high quality, unique, and trendy while also feeling very local. I liked some of the stuff so much I came back a second time to square away some holiday shopping without the fam around. I'd say they're mid-priced on some smaller items and then high dollar on some of the piece-wear like blazers, fancy hats, and suits. I feel like it's worth the price though - to have high quality, unique pieces. I may end up going back for myself as some of their items seem to be pretty gender neutral (despite the store name Him). I even got my brother's wife a winter hat! read more

Stephanie and Ross were a great help in finding me a polo that fit like a glove and I look forward to shopping there again in the near future. One of the best shopping experiences I've had! Ross is patient, accommodating, and he knows his merchandise! The jeans he directed me to fit better than any I could've found on my own.
