This was built a couple of years ago for the purpose of being a Kohls. Unfortunately it is out of the way (not another store in sight unless you count Home Depot next door, DMV and Car Dealerships down the street. The store is nothing more than clothes and not exactly cheap (not wal-mart by any stretch of the imagination) but has very good quality and can be pricey. I don't understand how they can stay in business. A few years ago I signed up for a Kohl's charge card because they were offering 30% off everything purchased that day. I only purchased sale items so ended up saving quite a bit of money. Since then I've received offers for percentages off on purchases during sale dates. I wait for the voucher to be 30% and then head back to Kohl's. I do not really like the Vacaville store all that much as it is disorganized and a bit of a mess. It is hard to find items in my size. After my last visit it dawned on me that I should make note of the styles and colors I like and the sizes I need and then purchase the items online. A much larger selection is available at the same sale prices and petite sizes are always available online but not at the Vacaville store. read more

We went to the Kohl's in Vacaville a few weeks ago to get my husband a nice shirt and tie for a funeral. The store is very large but each time I am at Kohl's it seems to be devoid of any employees on the sales floor. We were able to find what we needed on our own but when we went to the checkout there was a line of 4 customers and 1 employee cashiering. The woman working the register was nice but older and VERY slow. We waited and waited and I glanced over to the jewelry dept. to see 4, YES 4 employees standing behind the counter chatting. I walked over and asked if we could check out here, one woman said yes so I waived my husband to come over. We were paying and I told the girl that there is only 1 cashier up there and she had quite a line, PLUS was answering phones! So one of the other employees gets on the loud speaker calling ALL cashiers. As we finished our transaction and walked by the register, the older woman was STILL alone and her line was even longer now AND the 4 employee were still behind the jewelry counter chatting. There were no visible employees on the sales floor so I am not sure who, if anyone was going to come and help check out customers?? Too bad Mervyn's is gone. I miss them. read more

Kohl's is a great place to shop for clearance items but make sure you have your Kohl's cash to make it worth getting the hang out of your buck. This Kohl's store it's not my favorite I recommend visiting the Roseville store not only is it bigger but the customer service is 100 times better read more

2nd time coming to the jewelry dept, customer service at that department is tragic. I'd be fired if I behaved like they do, took a number and all three employees behind the counter just disappeared. I think i did most of my Christmas shopping here this past year. Everything was on sale, most of it half off or more. They had great deals. Long lines but great deals and the staff was still pretty helpful. Once they were out of stock on something you could order it over the phone and have it delivered free of charge. I hear they are going to build one in Fairfield soon too. We'll see how the prices are during the rest of the year. read more

We had to wait 15 minutes to 20 with only 1 cashier! Went to complain and manager had a really bad attitude and said I'd was more important for her to have her team meeting while we all wait. She should spreed out meetings to make sure customers are taken care of first! Really unhappy with response and attitude with management! Will pay off my balance and move on from this load of crap. Hate it! For Labor Day weekend they had the 10$ of 25 and the cashiers only allowed me to use it once! The coupon said ONE per transaction not ONE per customer! The associates are rude and didn't want to help me combine my receipts to earn a kohl's cash. The lady said I couldn't get a kohl's cash because I already used a coupon. I decided to not buy anything and went to the kohl's in Vallejo where I was treated much more better and offered the discount more than once! ALSO! They combined my receipts! I just want to say I have never had a pleasant experience when shopping at Kohl's. They don't really seem to be interested in customer satisfaction in my opinion. I have been there numerous times when the cashier told me to stay behind the line when I was trying to check out. I guess they fear you getting too close to the person checking out ahead of you. This time I went in there to return my Amazon purchase and I went ahead and shopped as long as I was in the store anyway. I got to the checkout counter and went behind the line like you're supposed to and when she finished with the customer in front of me another customer walked up to the checkout and got waited on before me! I can assure you that I will never shop in Kohl's again! Customer experience is an important factor in where I shop and I don't get a warm welcome when I've been in this store. They need to find a better way to use the checkout stations. read more

I really like Kohl's, but the management/supervisors tend to believe they are "Gods" for lack of a better adjective, over the other employees. I overheard a manager talking down to an employee the other day, (it's not the only time), and I wondered where the management training came from. Is that how it is in Wisconsin? In management, you criticize in private and praise in public. It appears they don't care about the "little people". Perhaps this is why they're turn over rate is outrageous? All those ex-employees can't be wrong. I recommend corporate restructure the training standards for management. Until that occurs, I'm boycotting the chain!! I'm not sure what it is about Kohl's, they remind me of a strangely laid out, and cheaper version of JC Penneys (si o no?) I've been a customer for many years but my recent visit to the Vacaville store makes me wonder if they have racist employees..I was in the sneakers section not more than 5 minutes when all of a sudden an employee appears and stays in the area...this after I had returned about 100 dollars worth of merchandise that did not fit...as I walked around I noticed someone with a baby cart and no employees around her...as I left to pay for some clothing I went to where the registers were and saw no one... I asked a brown haired girl who was the manager if there was anyone around and she completely ignored me and called for the cashier... I will never go back to this store and will stop purchasing from a place that hires such people...too bad because doesn't seem that Kohl's is doing too well... read more

The billing is very confusing. Every line is labeled as "ecommerce", however, each line may contain one item or many items and it may contain a complete order or the order may be broken into several lines. To make it even more confusing, the items are not described in detail, only classified into a vague category and then given a 13 digit reference number that doesn't correspond to anything on their website. If you try to look up the number it tells you the item isn't listed. This makes it difficult to quickly run through your bill and verify your purchases. This becomes even more complicated when you have multiple family members using the same account because it is not broken up under individual family members, as some cards are. I called customer support and was told she wasn't able to look at the charges and figure them out either. She had to "research" them to figure out what they meant. There has to be a better, less frustrating way to handle this. read more

I have always shopped at Kohl's and spent thousands of dollars there, but since I have moved out of state and there isn't one near me I don't get there often...I do still purchase online. I went into the Vacaville store and being Saturday it was busy. The lines were long so I went to the jewelry department where Fran was waiting on some ladies in front of me...they forgot their Kohl's Card and coupon and Fran cheerfully asked what their coupon amount was on the mailer they forgot and entered it effortlessly into the computer no more questions asked. She gave them the discount they indicated. She looked at me and said I have to help jewelry customers before you. I told her that was fine then she added "People think it's quicker here but most times it isn't" she had an attitude towards me for some reason. Once she took another jewelry customer before me, she began straightening her work area saying it was too messy. Without tons more details I could add that were said negatively Fran was not pleasant toward me at all. I said I had forgot my coupon as the previous customer had...she said "Next time take a picture so we can verify what you got." I couldn't help but feel as being the only white customer in the line of 5, that she was treating me poorly and different. Fran was cheerful to everyone but me. It was a disappointing encounter. I come here pretty often because I work nearby and sometimes you can find things for a low price. The store overall is usually pretty clean, with the exception of the clearance sections, which is why I knocked off one star. The reason I knocked of another star is that they never check sizes when one buys shoes, which results in me purchasing mis-mates. It's happened two times before, and another time tonight (6-2-17). I left the store with two left feet, a size apart tonight. It's such a hassle having to go back and return it, but I guess I have to again because I have another mis-mate. I guess it's my fault as well for not checking, but you would think they would check since the computer tells them to at check out. PLEASE CHECK THE SHOES. The computer prompts you to, but the employees always just click "ok" or whatever without even checking. read more

I shop at Kohls at least a couple times a month, and I have never once seen disorganized clothing racks or sizes in the wrong place. Maybe I'm coming on good days, I really enjoy shopping here and I love the sales. This isn't a high end department store, but it's still nice for the demographic they are trying to serve. I visited this store today to buy my 84 year old father some sandals. This is the worst customer service place I've ever been to. I waited in line probably 10 minutes. The "person" at the register never made eye contact with me. There was another associate around and she ignored the line of customers too. Other Kohls I've been to acknowledge you and tell you they'll be with you shortly, and thank you for waiting. When I was finally acknowledged, the person said "can I help the next person in line." She didn't even look at me. I walk up and for some strange reason, the person behind me walk up and stood to my right. The associate asked if both were together and the person next to me spoke up and said no. So then why didn't the associate ask her to step back and she would be next. But no, the rude lady stood there. I felt like I was in a dressing room and being watched as I undressed. As I was barely given my bag, the lady next to me started talking and I stood there in disbelief. Ok, I guess my turn is over. I didn't even get a thank you. Well Kohls, all I have to say is: your customer service stinks. Yes, Macy's prices are higher but their customer service is friendly and, well, just down right awesome. read more

I thought it was just here in Vacaville that Kohl's was so bad, but they are rated as one of the worst lg retailers with weights and measures and have even been "investigated" by the Sacramento News because of numerous customer complaints of bait and switch style pricing. read more

I wish I could give Khols no stars. I used to shop there pretty regularly before the selection became crappy. High priced for what you get and the quality isn't always the greatest. But buyer beware for anyone with the khols credit card. They are crooks. I had a credit card till just recently with them, and let me tell you don't get it if they offer it! I paid the card off I believe last december never used it again. I get a call on February saying my cards past due etc. Umm no its not i paid it off. Well it now "doesn't show" I made the Payment. Convient. So i told her fine ill make yet another payment and pay it off if the late fees are taken off. She said thats fine she could do that. So i paid in full for a second time. Well for the last TWO DAYS KHOLS HAS CALLED ME NON STOP. I just told the lady they better stop calling me. She says "i owe money" ummm no i don't, check the account. Well she checks the account and guess what? There is a note saying the account is closed (i closed it back when i paid the second time) and late fees are to be waived as the lady i had talked to the first time i told her i had paid it off, but it didn't show on the account. Oh and they record the calls so go back to that first call and guess what? You will hear everything that was said. Kohls get it together. You have lost a long time shopper (and quite a few others as i have told everyone i know about this issue) because you can't get your billing straight and have continued to harass me for a card that is closed and paid. I hate to know what would have happened if this had been an elderly person who wouldn't have known better! Oh and one star for the clothes selection as well, store was dirty, and the one employee i had help me was grumpy. read more

I went to Kohl's to get some dress cloths. They have a lot of clearance racks and a lot of Sales. I wasn't greeted until I was in the shoe department. The cashier was very friendly and efficient. I had forgotten a coupon at home and he went ahead and honored it. This is a great place for family's to shop. They carry cloths for everyone, Jewelry, Shoes, Accessories, housewares and small appliances, Linens such as bed sets pillows blankets and indoor rugs and out door rugs. Have only visited this kohls in the last 5 years, near by Suisun City, CA. Have never experienced with any problems. Black Friday my daughter 3 years old was throwing a Tantrum and on a blink of an eye lost her in the store felt like my world came apart. It was super busy people everywhere. Well Kohls, you let me down again. Came in with my mom because she had coupons to use on her email. I found a jacket that was on sale and she found a kitchen to purchase. We go up too the check lanes to check out and all fine and dandy, then my mom is on her phone trying to get her email which has the 20% off coupon. She is not the most tech savvy person but I figured I'd let her do it with out my help. Lol She tries to click on the coupon that has her 20% off but it just takes you to the kohl's website. We tried to look on their thinking the coupon would be at the bottom but it wasn't. So it was a whole thing for a couple minutes. The cashier offered my mom a scratcher but it was only 10% off. So why would we use that if we had a 20% off? So here we go again trying to pull up this coupon on her phone. I work in retail and have for the past 10 years of my life. I have ALWAYS gone out of my way to honor customers coupons even if they can't pull them up on their phones, lost them, left them in the car, or simply don't have them. I don't understand why this cashier didn't just offer to honor the 20% off and save us time. The cashier also kept trying to tell my mom it's better to have the kohl's app and she should download it. My mom doesn't need more complication then she already has with these coupons. I understand she was just being nice but she saw her struggling and didn't offer to just manually key in the coupon. Probably one of the worst customer service experiences ive had so far. I got 2 items from the clearance section and when they rang up they were full price. I asked why they were in clearence and the cashier huffed and said it didnt matter it was the wrong tag. Then i pulled out a coupon that the credit card guy gave me and she snatched it and tossed it saying it was expired. Ive always have had good service here and they would always compensate the coupon. Smh. Now the clothes completely understand if it was in the wrong spot i didnt mind paying it but from now on i learned my lesson. I wont shop here and im canceling my credit card.
