The Kohl's in Wake Forest was my only option for making an Amazon return. Normally, the UPS store is an option, and that is more convenient. The Amazon returns are done in the back right corner of the store and my and others were having trouble with our phones not getting service, so we needed to use the Kohl's Wifi so that we could get the QR code to scan. The store was clean, seemed well-stocked, and the associates who directed me to where I needed to go were helpful. There was plenty of parking available in the parking lot. What a crummy experience. Saturday morning at 11 am, one cashier at front. Why?! Waited in line for almost 7 minutes, get to register, cashier was very rude and argued with me regarding my return. I had a Jockey store return and showed her the bar code. She kept insisting it was an Amazon return. I showed her the word JOCKEY at the top of QR code. She rudely told me "go to the back of the store". I go to the back. One employee back there, like no man's land. I explain I have a Jockey store return and he says "I don't know if I can return those". I have no WiFi in the dang store. I have to get on Kohls WiFi to show him the code. What should have taken at tops 5 minutes turned into 25 minutes of two rude employees and a frustrating experience. Can't speak for value since o skip kohls for clothing or really anything. Service at this store is awful. I ordered a couple tee shirts from Kohl's.com in medium, my regular size for Kohl's brands. Upon receipt I found them to run small. A few days after receiving them I went to the Wake Forest store to exchange them for a larger size, same tee in the same colors. This store has recently closed its returns counter in the rear of the store and consolidated returns with checkouts. Obviously the cashiers have not been properly trained. The cashier did not know how to process my exchange. My receipt with the order # was in my Kohl's app which I had available yet she couldn't figure it out. She asked the cashier next to her who didn't have a clue either. Then she asked a third cashier who gave her two seconds of instructions as she kept walking. What I caught of that brief interaction was that different sizes have different SKU's so technically it's not an even exchange. Next thing I knew the cashier did a return for the two original tees (which probably decreased my Kohl's cash) and she rang the correct sizes at the current price telling me how much additional I owed. When I explained that I had gotten them on sale and shouldn't owe more for an exchange of the same item, she simply stated that the sale I got had ended and I needed to pay the current price. I wish I had asked to speak to a manager but I was so angry that I stormed out telling her I wasn't buying them. I still need to check my credit card to make sure she voided her purchase transaction when I left. In addition, half of my Kohl's order still hasn't arrived even though my Kohl's cash expired two days ago! read more

Had questions about Kerig coffee maker. No one in site to ask so lady I thought worked there said she would find someone, waited approximately ten minutes, no one came!!! Parked the cart and talked to "supervisor of cashiers", said someone was on the way!!!! Store did not seem busy!!! I did not wish to go back!! This is the closest Kohl's to me so I do shop here a lot. The prices are somewhat high so I try to wait for sales and get Kohls cash to use on my purchases. During holiday time, they tend to cram stuff everywhere, making it a bit of a maze if you are pushing a cart. My biggest bone of contention is the lack of wifi service in this store. They claim they have WiFi but it doesn't work. read more

Rude cashier. Told me he wouldn't sell me sunglasses because there was no tag on them. When I challenged him on it, he literally waved the sunglasses in my face and said "I can't SELL you these because there is no PRICE TAG. It's as simple as that!" When I wasn't looking, he rolled his eyes at my mother-in-law and mouthed "For Christ's Sake" not realizing she was with me. (She told me afterwards). Really, dude? I work in sales. I was a bit disappointed in this KOHLS location, most Kohls stores are very organized and don't have clothes thrown everywhere. I'm going to give the store a break because it is just after the holidays. The selection was good, however the outerwear selection need some help, I guess everyone was snatching up all the winter coats due to the weather lately. I found the employees to be very friendly and helpful. Absolutely will return to the store as I love KOHLS. This KOHLS is located in the shopping center which has many other great stores you can shop as well. Parking was no problem and customer service was wonderful. Recently visited the WF Kohl's to exchange a pair of Adidas Trackpants. Let me provide a little backround prior to my return... Purchased the Trackpants via Kohl's online, and only wore them a handfull of times. The last time I wore them I was surprised to learn the ankle zipper was broken. I called the MOD at the Apex location, and he said to bring them to any Kohl's for an exchange. He was very professionall and apologetic. Back to WF...first time in this particular Kohl's and I was impressed with its cleanliness and their friendly staff. Took my Trackpants to Customer Service where I met Maya. She was extremely amicable, and knowledgeable, exchanging my Trackpants sans receipt. 5 star service by Maya. Overall rating is 4 star, due to the zipper fiasco, but their exchange policy is 5 star plus. Thanks to Maya, and the Apex MOD, for turning a negative into a positive! read more

This location is well organized and still has that "new store" look and feel. Employees are pleasant and the inventory is well-stocked. I'm not a big fan of Kohl's in general because it seems their regular prices on most items are seriously inflated and then marked down 50% or more as part of their constant sales. It can mean you snag a good deal sometimes, but if you find yourself in a bind and need something that day, you would seriously overpay if the item did not happen to be on sale. The fact that their shoes don't have price tags; they have electronic signs that show the price is a pretty clear indicator to me that this is a company that changes their prices way too often. Basically, I don't care for Kohl's most of the time, but if I have to go to a Kohl's, this location is the best one I have visited. read more

I usually have a decent experience at Kohl's but today when I went to make a return I was very disappointed. I had a gift receipt for an item that my MIL had purchased and went to return it but the cashier put it back in the original card without asking. She then acted frustrated with me when I said that wasn't okay as it was a GIFT. Save yourself the hassle and frustration, go to the Kohl's on Falls of Neuse instead of this one if you have a return to make. I recently went there to return an item that I purchased online that didn't work out. I had never been to this store before but assumed it would be just like the one on Falls because it's a retail chain. I walked in the store and went to the nearest customer service desk and inquired that I'd like to make a return to which she then tells me to go to the far right back corner of the store. First of all, why can't I return things at the front of the store like at the Falls location? Why did I have to walk through the halls of purgatory just to make what should have been a quick and simple return? (It was at least a 2-3 minute walk or more if you're slow and/or have difficulties walking as people often do.) Just when I'm about to ask another person if they have any idea where the returns are done (because I've walked so far and it's not easily seen and I fear that I have somehow missed it) I finally find the hidden returns desk which is located right next to the bathrooms, delightful. There was one woman at the desk who was assisting another customer so I decided to stand back a reasonable distance behind the customer but clearly visible to the employee. I stand there for at least ten minutes while the customer asks about every which way her Kohl's cash could work, blah blah blah, fine, no problem. People are coming and going next to this desk using the restroom, waiting for their family members, etc. (this is relevant, I promise). Finally the customer is finished and I step up to the desk. The employee looks directly at me then looks to the woman waiting next to the bathroom and says TO HER "I'll be with you in a moment". Um, what? Have you seriously not seen me standing here for the last 10-15 minutes? So I speak up and say, "I've been waiting, I'm next." The employee looks again, at the other woman just waiting for her kid to finish in the bathroom and the woman has to speak up to say that she's not in line, she's just waiting. IMMEDIATELY after she says that, the employee goes and leaves and starts hanging up clothing. Seriously. The woman left me, a customer who she just was rude to to go hang up clothing instead of help me with what literally should have been a less than two minute transaction (and there was no one else in line behind me). I say to her "Excuse me, I've been waiting here for 15 minutes and you're going to hang up clothing instead of helping me? Are you kidding me right now?" (I am also one of the least confrontational people you will ever meet, it takes a lot to get me to this point.) She replies that this was not her fault, her manager said they need to fully complete a transaction before helping another customer and I shouldn't blame her. She was just following her manager's rules and she'll be happy to tell her manager that I was unhappy. If you are going to leave customers to go hang up clothing then HIRE MORE PEOPLE so you can have two people working at the same time helping customers. This is Customer Service 101. Finally she came back over and completed my simple transaction which again, took less than two minutes. I cannot imagine ever returning to this location for any reason now. You've been forewarned. read more

Looks like a thrift store, I don't think I've ever been in this store where most of the clothes are laying in the floor. Nothing folded, nothing organized. I returned two shirts today, exactly the same except different colors. One I got full price, the other about 1/4 of the price? I was told the yellow one was on sale (but not the blue one???) and since I didn't have the receipt (which they advertise you can return with or without a receipt) I only got partial credit on one. What a ripoff! Neither had been worn, the were in brand new condition and no where in their ads do they say you get cheated if you don't have the receipt! Not sure I'll go back!!!!! read more

This Kohl's tends to have the worst selection compared to other Kohls I have been to. They never seem to have what I need. I keep thinking they will one day. I visited this location to return items and to browse around the store. I visited around 2pm on a Friday and to my surprise it was pretty busy for a work day. I walked into the store and like most stores I assumed that I could just get in line at any register for the return. So I pass by 2 employees to get in line and they both see me with a kohls bag and receipt in hand. I wait in this line for about 10 to 15 min as there were several people ahead of me to the point they called for an additional associate to the front. So I finally get to the register and the associate tells me she can't process my return and then looks at me like I've done something wrong. I say ok so where do I go and she says customer service and the nice lady in line behind me (not the employee) directs me to customer service. Once I got to customer service I get in another line and finally get my refund processed. I would say that the associate in customer service waa very friendly and polite. read more

Store is just a MESS. Very frustrating to find your size. Shoe department is very unorganized. Dressing rooms are full of clothing. Racks of clothing packed so tight you can't pull a garment off without pulling others off with it as they are tangled together. I just find myself avoiding Kohls at this location. Visited the WF Kohl's recently to shop for Christmas presents. You can't start too early. I was trying to use the kiosk to order some items I couldn't find in the store. I asked an employee to help, as I could not get it to work for me. The young lady was nice, but confused as well. She didn't give up. The sales associate found some who could help me, then stayed to be sure I had gotten all the help I needed. I would just like to say, that Manager M. Tavensom has trained the staff well. Everyone is courteous and helpful every time I visit. I appreciated the staff going out of their way to help me find just what I needed. You can always find friendly staff at this Kohls. read more
