This review is long overdue. During the COVID 19 virus, this team continues to support their customers beyond any standard level of customer service. Why the retail space Is closed, Bryan and his staff are monitoring their messages and social media to fill customer needs. After maxing out my last pair of shoes, I called the store and my shoes were on my doorstep in 3 days! Beat that!!!! Even before the different times of Corona, their Customer service has been above and beyond. After running recommended shoes from other reputable stores for years, my feet and leg pains continued and appeared to be worsening. After being told to hop on the treadmill for a brief jog and evaluation, the owner said he just didn't see the need for all the structure and support the other stores had been pushing. After bringing out several options, I left with a new brand and instructions to try and not to hesitate to return if they didn't provide some comfort, relief and overall satisfaction. Fast forward many miles and now on my third pair of the recommended shoes, I highly recommend you check these guys out. Btw, if you don't like product knowledge, honesty and a sense of humor when being helped, go back to to the chain stores. Unbelievable experience. I bought some Adidas that were squeezing my toes when I ran from The Adidas store. I came by here and the friendly man had me get on the treadmill. He corrected my cadence and relaced my shoes. He explained to me that Adidas has gone more narrow in the toe box and by skipping the top lace it should help, and it did! He didn't try to sell me a thing!!! However, I bought a Brooks jacket off the Clearance section and it's now my favorite. Love local Family places that treat customers like family! read more

Every year we do this family shoe shopping thing for new trainers. Kids grow and frankly you only get so many steps out of your kicks. I came in for a shoe fitting because the sneakers I had just weren't cutting it anymore. Shannon greeted me right away and took the time to listen to my needs in detail. She examined my current sneakers and explained to me what was going on with my current sneakers. She got a few sneakers for me to try on and run on the treadmill with to see how they worked. Bought running shoes here today. The two people working were so knowledgeable and helpful. I had to bring my two year old with me. They were so kind to her. I see on here that everybody has had a great experience. However, that was not the case for me. I went there to try on Hoka Bondi 6 not to get comments in my weight and doing self care. Bryan doesn't know me or my journey I could have been 600lbs or other problems. He shouldn't assume I wasn't taking care of myself. Obviously I am since I was there looking for a good shoe for work. I seem to think I have thick skin but for some reason his remarks really insulted me true or not I wasn't there for weight loss I was there for shoes. I had been looking for a store with serious footwear experts for the past couple years and thankfully found Run N Tri in Wake Forest. I have chronic hip and back issues due to arthritis and absolutely must wear shoes and inserts that fit/work perfectly. Thankfully, the owner and staff took the time to assess fully my needs and then suggested I try different inserts for the running shoes I already owned. There was absolutely no pressure, just patience and expertise and concern. After trying two styles, I tried a third, Cadence Insoles, developed recently by a physical therapist. So I decided to pop into Run N Tri for the first time today because I needed a pair of running shoes to start slowly rehabilitating myself from some old injuries. I haven't run in years and know very little about running other than you put one foot in front of the other a whole bunch of times. When I walked through the door I was greeted immediately by the professional and congenial owner Brian, who took an quick interest in my reason for being there. He quickly isolated my needs, and fitted me to a couple different brands of shoes. After putting me on the treadmill for a quick jog he assessed my gait and he had me immediately in the proper pair of shoes. After having just finished a workout, in said shoes, I'm writing this and I can say it's the first time I haven't experience knee and back pain while working out since I can remember. Brian is a wealth of knowledge and has an amazing demeanor to boot. The store may appear small but is very deep and has tons of quality merchandise to choose from, while maintaining that down home feel which unfortunately is waning in our society. Made the short trek from Raleigh, because I heard through the grapevine that these guys carry Altra running shoes. If you run in Altra's, you know what I'm talking about. Owner, Brian, walks the walk and is incredibly knowledgeable about both his sport and his product. So friendly! The very best thing about this place, however, is a complete and total lack of any sort of pretension. Maybe you're just a light/casual jogger, and maybe walking into some other running outfitters in Raleigh is intimidating to you...or maybe some other running outfitters in Raleigh irritate the crap out of you with the ridiculous gear pushiness and drippy pretension.
