Came to this location because I saw it as a recommend place to go per Yelp. I was so excited when I walked in with my husband. Had very highly expectations that I would be treated with courteous customer service and at least get acknowledge when we walked in. When we walked in we did not get acknowledged. Nor did someone come up to ask if I need assistance or help with finding something. Another customer came in, they where treated very differently then how we did. The younger lady at the cash register and the older female just looked at us. The younger lady was creeping behind me and felt very intimidated and uncomfortable. That's when we decided to leave. Adore is one of my go to shops for my wardrobe! Everyone always asks where did I find that cute dress or say wow I love your bag--- I can proudly say- I got it at Adore! Adore is a new and gently used boutique in Raleigh where I can get amazing deals on designer pieces. I'm always drooling over their high end luxury section filled with Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci... and I've even seen Hermes items! My budget is more along Michael Kors and Tory Burch- and they have all of those names too. Lilly, Kendra Scott, Tiffany & Co., Coach, Kate Spade- I love them all. Great sales throughout the year and always new inventory. Gotta go now-- now I have the urge to go shopping again! read more

I visited Adore this week just moving from Dallas. Almost everywhere I've visited has had great customer service, but not here. I looked around for about 15 minutes, even standing directly in front of the salesperson at the jewelry counter and didn't receive so much as a hello. The salesperson not only ignored me, but also two other customers. She did greet what appeared to be a repeat customer and was eager to help her. That lady saw something that she liked and the salesperson looked at her and said, oh no that's such a large size! That large dress was a size 10. Unless you want a snobby European to not provide any customer service, I would recommend this store regardless of the merchandise they sell. read more

Found this store by accident and then got a recommendation from a friend. Looked around and didn't buy anything the first time. Then, when I found I had 4 weddings this year I went and was able to find some wonderful dresses, designer styles at reasonable prices!! Received compliments at 3 our 4, 4th one hasn't happened yet, and did not feel compelled to tell anyone that I bought them from a consignment store except I wanted to share the news with them! If you want to consign your high-end unique designer items, go with an online consignment service who has more experience with luxury designers or just do the work and sell it yourself online. If you are just looking to move middle-of-the-road brands like Tory Burch and Michael Kors, or looking to sell the more generic styles of LV and Chanel that the market is over-saturated with (i.e. Neverfull, medium flap), then this might be the avenue. A lot of basic mall brands are also in there to cater to every budget, which is nice, but don't go in there thinking you'll find a treasure trove of designer couture. Adore claims to welcome high-end and unique merchandise and their experts can authenticate designer goods. This only true if you own the run of the mill styles as I mentioned previously. When I presented my black vintage Gucci backpack with bamboo ware, the manager asked me what brand it was. How can you be in this business and not recognize Gucci bamboo? It's one of their style icons, equivalent to looking at a pair of Ray Ban and not recognizing their logo. Classifying this as "luxury" consignment must be a cruel joke they are playing on me and the rest of Raleigh. Lack of knowledge and/or exposure to vintage Chanel led their "expert" to tell me my bag was a replica and she hoped I didn't spend too much money on it. I paused in amusement as she explained how she considers herself an expert in Chanel and LV, and how she knows for sure that bag is not authentic. Funny because the bag is a very rare one and was not purchased from someone else, but directly from the Chanel boutique... surely they ripped me off on a replica! The same bag was approved by TheRealReal and Yoogi's Closet, with identical ones online selling for upwards of $5000. Out of all of my Prada, Gucci, Fendi, Celine and LV bags, the owner/authenticator could not identify or authenticate any of them except for the LV, knowingly telling me what year my Sac Souple 45 was made in order to give the appearance of having more expertise. All my items were purchased new so there's only been one owner. I admit I'm quite the handbag "expert" myself, but thanks for telling me stuff I already know. Maybe because she's convinced my Chanel was fake, so everything else scared her off, even Gucci boots worn less than half a dozen times. And now none of my items are eligible for consignment except for the LV... the only one she can identify, quite sadly. The point is: ANYONE can authenticate LV, it's the easiest brand of all to spot and it's not rocket science to look at date codes. It requires true experience to know more than what you can research on the Internet. I will sell all my authentic designer goods through a more knowledgeable consignment service. Adore should just stick to selling Talbots. read more

I came here again because I've been wanting either a leather or pleather jacket. I've seen some cute leather ones for retail around town and online that cost an arm and a leg. Then I saw a Veda jacket on sale at gilt for under $300 and of course the only size available was XS. So I haven't had a lot of luck. I almost walked out after not finding what I was looking for at adore's other location in Cary and my first walk around here. But I must have missed a rack and something told me to go back. And there it was. Okay, it's pleather and maybe not the coolest brand out there -- guess -- but it looked really great on and actually fit. So now I have my own pleather biker jacket. And it only cost me $55. Well, a little more with tax. But hey, it actually fit better than the madewell jacket I tried on earlier today, and at a fraction of the price too. So you might not find what you're looking for every time, it might take a little digging. That's the name of the game with consignment stores. But sometimes you can find a real gem. I'm still wearing that Rebecca Taylor dress I snagged here last year. read more

Great selection and quality of items is amazing. I was disappointed in the customer service though. The woman working that day spoke to everyone but me. Granted I did have on tennis shoes, a simple tee and jeans....but it was raining and I was running errands that day. So, I guess I did not look as if I were going to purchase any items. Well, there were 2 pairs of shoes that I would have purchased if I would have felt welcomed but I really felt like I did not belong. I may give the one in Cary a try. read more

All the clothes are in great condition and I can always find a great deal on designer items as well as a huge selection of such. I'm always getting complemented on the items I buy there. Ran into this boutique right as it was closing (not cool, I know!) but I really wanted to check out their inventory. What a transformation. It's been years since I last visited, because the previous ownership and employees were not very friendly. However, I was next door getting my nails done and decided to stop over. And I am glad that I did. I was greeted by a friendly woman who sounds like she has from Europe, and I later found out is the new owner. She took the time to help me find the sizes I needed and was really sweet. The staff is refreshingly diverse and is equally as supportive. They are a fun group of ladies that seem to enjoy their work. The store is much more cleaner and it even smells more pleasant than what I remember. The merchandise is very organized with more quality named brands. I will definitely come back again. read more

Doesn't even deserve 1 star. Not sure why a sales associate working in a resale store has to be so rude. Got asked twice in an extremely rude tone to move out of her way while she was putting back clothes. Don't waste your time shopping here there's better consignment shops in Raleigh. I worked with Adore last year and could not have been more pleased. They sold hundreds(!) of items from my sister in law's estate. They were respectful, honest, helpful, friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. They made a hard job a lot easier. The payoff was huge. My experience with this boutique has always been very positive, both as a customer and consigner. Last year, my mother decided to sell her collection of Dooney & Bourke purses. Adore competitively priced the purses, and my mother was thrilled with her share of the sale. Just recently, my daughter wanted to consign what she thought was an original Chanel. She purchased it from a neighbor a few years ago, and verified its authenticity using an online site. Bored with it, she decided to consign it. Unfortunately, Adore identified several features that revealed it to be a knock-off. Of course, my daughter, who is only 14, was disappointed -- her loss was a $50 investment (could have been worse, good lesson),. Though sad news for her, I, on the other hand, was impressed with Adore's thoroughness and appreciate them for taking the time to review these "red flags" with me.
