Eh, the new checkout line is horrible. They have about 2 employees ringing and then all these self checkout machines. Most people don't know how to use them, and then if you need to make a return you're waiting in line forever with the people making purchases, so it's a mess. Usually this store has stuff literally all over the place, it used to be so clean but now there's just stuff always in the isles- between the carriages and you moving around others can become like real like Mario-cart. I feel like I seldom find good deals unless if it's in the clearance section. The clearance section and added coupons you can find some deals, but even that selection is scarce and it's catered to just like crop tops, belly shirts and shorts most of the time. Regular prices items are really high, but I believe they do this so the coupons make it appear you're getting a great deal, which seldom do you. The associates act like you don't exist. And pretty much don't acknowledge you at all. I do like that they have an Amazon drop off in the store though. Those employees are nice, and it's very quick when all I have to do is return something that I didn't need or like from Amazon. I love shopping at Kohl's. I especially love it when I receive their coupons in the mail for using their credit card. I usually get lucky with 30% off which is a huge savings if you're buying a higher ticket item like a vacuum cleaner or appliances, which they have a great selection of! You can also shop for perfume, jewelry and cosmetics. Their store is always neat and organized. They have a Huge men's department and I usually buy my sons clothes there. Since moving to the area, this Kohl's has become my go-to location for Black Friday and holiday shopping needs. Though I don't typically shop here for myself, I always find what I am looking for with others in mind. So many departments to peruse: --Clothing: Women's, Men's, Plus, Juniors, Kids, Baby --Toys --Home, Bed/Bath --Shoes --Jewelry and Accessories Great selection and the prices are really competitive. Everything was very well-stocked during my last visit, including many sale items! My coworkers and I are adopting a family for Christmas this year and I was able to fill my cart with more that I thought I would be able to with the budget I had in mind. To top it off, the cashier scanned a coupon for me (that I had left at home)! Throughout this holiday season, I have been really pleased with the precautions the store is taking in the face of the pandemic. Plenty of signage prompting folks to socially distance, wiping down carts after each use, offering hand sanitizer at the registers and on the way in and out of the store. Staff have been helpful in locating items which aids in reducing time in-store. Lots of registers open so I haven't had to wait more than a couple of minutes to be able to check out. I am very unhappy with the extremely small department for petites. The selection is poor and has neither variety nor class. I understand that Sephora is now going to be taking over a part of the Warwick , RI store and that will further greatly reduce the amount of clothing in the store. Although I can wear some outfits in the junior department, there too, the selection is mostly peasant style which is not something of interest to me at all. For over a year or so, I sincerely have dreaded trying to find a classy item to purchase. In prior years, I could buy petite dresses and or casual clothing by Vera Wang or Jennifer Lopez. I am thoroughly disgusted with Kohl's and do not see much of a future in my chances of finding anything there. read more

The new checkout area is a nightmare. They added a bunch of self-checkout "registers" for people who can only use their credit card and someone there to help them process their transaction. Yet, for those who aren't comfortable using self-checkout or need to return items, we have to wait twice as long than before this change in a very long line b/c there's usually only one cashier. So what's the point of having self-checkout if someone is standing there basically doing the transaction for maybe 3 people and having one other person wait on four times as many people in line? Yet again, Kohl's proved to be the best place to do my shopping! The store is packed with such a great variety of quality made products, from clothing to jewelry to housewares! So much clothing is drastically reduced, especially at the end of the season, that one can purchase an entire new wardrobe fir a fraction of what it would cost anywhere else. It's a Kohl's and they're pretty much all the same. The selections is obviously huge, and affordable. The men's section takes up a decent area of the store and I do grab some shirts to wear around the house or on the weekends. Employees have always been friendly, helpful and the I'm really happy that they've partnered now with Amazon which makes returns much easier and convenient for me. Walked in with my son who was having a hard time walking, had no idea the place was so big. Didnt see my son's shoe sizes. Didnt know there was another section of shows around the corner. . The associate was so nice. She saw we having a hard time finding shoes to fit my son's braces and she helped us out! Very nice lady. This place is an old people's haven. I come to find myself surrounded by people over the minimum age of 60 years old, which is being generous. Very weird being one of the few young people inside of the establishment, if anything there are maybe 5 people under 30 inside of this building. The changing area was already infested as I approached its perimeter. All in all: If you hate slow walkers and are not supposed to be in a rush- this place is not the place to visit. read more

So, I got to be honest in all of my years working in restaurants and hotels and various other food service operations I never experienced such poor customer service as I did today at Kohl's in Warwick RI . @kohls #kohls I went to the store today to return an Amazon product and once I returned the product they got a 25% off coupon . So I decided to see what was available And I found that the Scott brothers products were discounted for 85% and there was a bench and a table runner that I was going to buy . I went to the self-scanning price check to see how much the bench would be as it was marked down to $38 . When the self-scanning price kiosk did not work I use the phone next to it be'cause the kiosks said if it didn't work to call customer service . When I dial 0 an associate answered the phone and I explained my situation She said she would send someone right over I waited 15 minutes an announcement came over the loudspeaker that the store was closing so I used the phone again But this time I was told that this phone is to be used for in house only and when I questioned if someone was coming I was told to F off . That's right the FU was given to me by a customer service associate . Finally, an associate came to me and told me the price with the discount I ask if the 25% coupon would be honored to that price I was told yes . When I got to the register I explained the entire situation Presented as a 25% off coupon and told that it would not be honored and that If I didn't like it I could not buy it . So I didn't buy it I then went on the Kohl's app to explain my situation I had to talk to three associates on the app each time getting disconnected and re explaining this story finally the app disconnected me and no one is responding. Where has customer service gone when is it all right to curse at your customers and tell him that you don't care about them and that you don't want them to buy the product ? No wonder brick and mortar stores are going out of business I never have problems with Amazon Any problems are resolved seamlessly and quickly perhaps I should buy everything online and never step foot in a store again if this is the way I'm going to be treated . A very clean store A Kohl's store located right next to the almost empty and depressing Rhode Island Mall. Kohl's is actually one of the anchor stores but there is a huge wall separating Kohl's from the mall as if Kohl's not longer wants to be associated with it. This is a typical Kohl's with lots of clothes, housewares, jewelery and some electronics. It does have an exception shoe department with lots of different brands, styles and a pretty decent selection of extra wide shes. I can occasional find shoes big enough to fit. The one thing that separated this store from the others is how clean it is. Not just normal clean but exceptional. The floors are so polished that I can actually see myself, not necessarily a good thing. The bathrooms are also spotless and everything is always well supplied, I've never been in the crapper when the soap or paper towels were empty or a piece of paper on the floor. Someone that works there must take a lot of pride and care in their store. It certainly shows in the appearance. read more

My favorite store to keep my boho-chic wardrobe somewhat fresh. I can grab a few work-appropriate pieces to add to the mix and some great deals on kids' clothes - I'm golden. Great little toy section to pickup a birthday gift for the under ten set... Vera Wang has some great styles and some of their other store labels surprise as well. My only gripe - their clearance sections are not very well organized and you definitely have to dig to find the right size and style. I have been rewarded enough times with good deals to keep my mojo hot even if the organization is not. I can see where the racks could be frustrating for a newcomer... Hassle-free returns means I can try on things at home without having to worry about tracking the receipt. I use my Kohl's card and they can look up every purchase - online or in store. Love it when I get the 30 percent coupon and, truthfully, try to shop here only when I have one - which is pretty often. I spend way much time here but it really is a fun place to roam, browse and buy. read more

Out of the three locations near me (Warwick, Smithfield, and Seekonk) this is my favorite location. I avoid the Smithfield location at all costs because you will wait in line for twenty minutes easy. This location has everything you need and it's appropriately staffed. The only downfall is that over the holidays they over stock their merchandise to the point where it becomes cluttered and hard to shop. The aisles are overflowing that it's impossible to have two way traffic walk through. read more

I noticed in the previous review that it claimed the store was pretty immaculate. However, in my trips to the store i don't seem to have the same experience. The vast amount of discount racks which are not organized by size, or any rhyme or reason are a little bit daunting. Even for a girl like me, who LOVES a bargain. The employees at the store are pretty rude especially at the jewelry counter. I was waiting for quite a while to take a look at a watch and there were 2 women at the counter. One had her back to me and just looked like she was standing around staring at the other woman working and the other was helping a customer who had arrived just before i had gotten to the counter. I asked the woman with her back to me for some assistance and she just groaned and said "i'm busy" and didn't even turn around! I've had similar interactions with the return counter in the past as well. The staff at the Seekonk location seem to be a bit better on the customer service side so i think i'll stick to shopping there. read more

Kohls is one of those stores that you can pretty much find middle of the road clothing at in every size. They are not a huge store but I find that they do have a good selection of housewares appliances and clothing. I am not crazy about the shoe department because I think that they are expensive and don't have a terrific selection in my taste. I do like their clothing though and some of their children's clothing deals are really good. The problem with Kohls is that you never go shopping there without a coupon because there is almost always a coupon. I feel like if I shop there without a coupon then if I had waited 2 days a coupon would come out so I'm paying more than I should. But sometimes I just need something and I go to get it and then I don't feel good about it. It seems like their sales attract people but just bring down prices that are rather inflated to begin with. I went here to return a pair of shoes that the company sent to my wife in error from an online order. I told the woman that they sent it to us incorrectly (they didn't charge us for it) and I thought they should have it back. The woman at the return counter was very friendly and stated that there isn't anything she can do but give me store credit for the shoes, since it has to be inventoried in some way. I thought that was odd but still worked out for me. I gave the gift card to my wife and to be honest, I'm still not sure I could buy anything in this store for me, but they get 3 stars for being easy to do business with. read more

When I got to the register, Maria asked me if I had any coupons or a Kohl's card, which I didn't have. She kindly swiped a coupon which gave me a good discount...then she told me to open a card to save even more. I don't like using credit cards as I have A.D.D. and we'll...you can imagine. I think this location has a great selection and I do like to shop here from time to time for work clothes since they have a lot for dress ware. However the last two times I went I was pretty dissatisfied with the help or lack of. My mom & I went in about a week ago and she was looking at the jewelry and wanted to try some earrings on that were locked. The older woman in said dept. was facing the other way not doing anything so I had walked around and ask her to help us. Usually at dept. stores - they have people working in the jewelry section that actually encourage the sale and mingles with the customers. This woman just about answered the questions my mom had. Then the other day I had gone to the customer service dept. with a receipt from a purchase I made a few days previous because I had a coupon that I forgot to use and the woman 'helping' me was extremely condescending. I explained to her I was just in the other day & forgot to use my coupon and called before hand to make sure I could bring in the receipt and coupon and I'd like to make an adjustment. She aggressively said there was already a coupon applied to the transaction and I can't use it. Instead of just explaining to me (because obv I wasn't aware) 'I'm sorry but a coupon was already used in the transaction & unfortunately there's a limit' or whatever the case is, she spoke down to me as if I should know the stores policy? Staff like this should be working in the back - stocking shelves. read more

Lucky for me, today the "something" what exactly what I went there for- new bras. lol... Buy 1 get 1 1/2 off. Their selection was huge, and I got a couple good ones! YAY! Of course, as in any store I always end up getting more than what I went there for. I had a bad experience at the Kohl's Warwick RI store today. My wife purchased a necklace for our daughter for Christmas. The purchase came with a $10 Kohls cash certificate, which she used to purchase some socks. It turns out that she decided on another gift for our daughter. So today I packed up the necklace and socks and proceeded to Kohl's to return all of the items. Everything was still brand new, and in the original packaging. I had all the original receipts also. So I was expecting a smooth process, boy was I wrong! The wait at the return line was about ten minutes. Okay, its 12 days after Christmas, whatever... Anyway when it was my turn I was told that I would not be receiving a full refund of my purchase price as there was Kohl's cash involved on the sock purchase. Even though I brought everything back my refund would be reduced by $10. So we paid $65.51 out of pocket for the two items, but would only receive a refund of $55.51. Wow, isn't that swell! Oh but we would also get $10 in Kohl's cash! I just wanted a simple refund of the amount that we paid them, but they refused to do that. As if the experience wasn't already bad enough, when I got home I checked the receipt and discovered that the refund was for $54.81, not $55.51! Great! So to recap we paid $65.51 for the necklace and socks, and received a refund of $54.81 plus a useless $10 Kohl's cash certificate that will expire soon. If this seems okay to you then feel free to shop there, We won't be joining you there any time soon! read more

Kohl's store is great itself. It is well kept. Bathrooms do get a little nasty. Only once have I been able to use a seat cover. But some of the employees are a real problem. From my experience, they are rude or are clueless about what you are looking for. There was a lady who helped very much. I appreciate the time she took to see my needs get fulfilled. I went in looking for a comforter set. Of course, you need a specific size but there was a color I had in mind. It was not on a shelf. I found her filling her aisles. I asked her for some help. She dropped everything she had her hands on to check. Lucky for me, she found one in back stock!! I will go more often when I get serviced like this. read more
