I love TJ maxx and this is a really great one. They have good selection and the store is clean. They seem to always have a good number of employees working but I'm not sure why they don't have more on the register. There was one cashier with three other workers talking behind the counter. I was probably the 6th person to join in line. Eventually a second one came on and they called for a third when the line was all the way to the end. I was SO close to a perfect zero interaction score until the checker said, "Here you go" when handing me my receipt. It wasn't like I was interrupting their conversation with the other checkers - that continued the entire time I stood there - so I'm not sure what I'd done to deserve the silent treatment. And I'm ok without the how-you-doing-nice-weather chit chat, but a little professional courtesy would have been appreciated! Had the worst experience...... at this store I usually don't buy at this store but I did purchase close to 300.00 worth of things and I bought a cheap bracelet that literally broke not even worn. I explain the quality was off.... The cashier send me to jewelry and jewelry rep was confused and got a manager..... he was absolutely useless individual...... he looked at the receipt and than me....... And made a judgement without asking additional questions......all he needed to say there is a ticket..... why are u even a manager if ur not doing ur job.... As any other TJ Maxx, they have a great selection of value items that might be "last season" items from other major stores, but that are still in great condition and new... I went to check on their backpacks and they had a good amount of options...On a good day, you can get lucky and find really good quality, name brand stuff for cheap in here. No complaints except about my experience in the fitting room. Soft music would be delightful, its eeriely quiet in the fitting rooms. all I could hear was my own huffing and puffing and the other heavy breathing of others as we try on and rip off clothes. Just kinda awkward silence. You could hear a pin drop, just weird stale ambiance. Plus it kinda smelled musty too. I felt this affected my shopping experience because I was just dying to get out of the fitting room, instead of staring into the mirror and convincing myself that I need to spend this $200 when I really don't. read more

Doing a little holiday decor shopping. This year everyone is jumping on the Christmas wagon well before Thanksgiving. We are all in need of some holiday cheer. T.J.Maxx had a good amount of holiday decor still available. You can see there may not be quite as much inventory variety, but still a good amount, and they continue to get deliveries, so if they don't have what you are looking for, keep checking. The clothing area looked very well stocked, and in the past I have found some really great bargains there, so do check it out from time to time. You never know what you might find. This is the sort of store that serves you well if you are patient and willing to check often to find that item you are wanting at a bargain price. The aisles are not over wide, and we encountered a few 'traffic jams' where some of us were trying to keep our distance, and others were unaware of their surroundings. Just be aware: some of us get 'lost' in our own minds while shopping. This is serious stuff, shopping. There were lines on the floor for directions of some aisles and I didn't notice them at first so keep an eye out for those. In other areas, there's just no way to direct the flow of traffic and most patrons were trying to be polite with each other's efforts to move along in one direction or another. Everyone is just trying to get their shopping done. Be kind to each other. There is plenty of parking. Someone is at the door making sure patrons are wearing their face mask as you enter (an possibly counting how many are in the store) and the staff are all wearing masks as well at the time of this review (Nov 2020). There are some partitions between cash registers, however, there are two registers between the partitions, and instead of using one on each side of the partition, they are putting both customers between the partitions (and leaving the other registers unmanned) making it harder to stay 6 ft away. Also, with 2 patrons, and two carts, having a 3rd (or fourth) person in this mix means the aisle leading to the exit gets blocked if you are all trying to keep appropriate distance. Just a note to be aware of. Maybe leave the SO by the door as you check out to avoid the tight space. Happy shopping! read more

This is a large combo store. The store is both a TJ Maxx and Home Goods. The Home Goods store is quite large and has a lot of various products at very reasonable prices. They have a decent food/snack section where I can buy my favorite cookies from Germany that I can't find anywhere else. The TJ Maxx portion isn't as good as other TJ Maxx stores but I still find some shirts or soaps that I like. read more

This TJ is my local store and the one I shop at the most. I do love a good day of visiting them all tho. I am obsessed! Tj in general is my favorite store and I've never had any issues at any of them. While there isn't anything outstanding about their customer service or presentation, they still have great deals and lots to choose from. I love shopping at both the home goods side and the clothing section. I guy most of my clothes from their juniors section. Sometimes it looks like they are running out of clothes and the racks are pretty empty. Usually, Im heading to the dressing room with my hands full though. Their show section isn't anything special and could use a face lift. The homegoods side is great. There is plenty of things to choose from. I have bought everything from patio furniture to food there. My favorite is scoring fun vegan food items for them specialty foods section. I never leave empty handed and I visit weekly! read more

It is convenient to have a combined TJ Maxx and Home Goods, but I was disappointed by the lack of stock. I came in here with multiple receipts and tags for merchandise I had purchased here primarily and a few other things I had purchased at a TJ Maxx store in Connecticut. First they started with the tags not matching what was on the receipt; which has LITERALLY happened to me before and it's the number 1 reason I STOPPED SHOPPING AT TJ MAXX. When I asked politely for a manager I was appalled at her tone and overall poor attitude! I just don't understand how people who work in customer service feel NO DESIRE to assist their customers. All the proper tags were attached but instead of working with me she more or less raises her voice in front of my small child! COMPLETELY INAPPROPRIATE!!! I told the manager that it's not my responsibility to match tags with receipts! It's your employees responsibility to match whatever tag is on the garment to the receipt. If it were my responsibility I doubt I would be paying $50 on a blouseif that was the case! So then she tried saying we could give you store credit for "most" of the items. I said every last item with a tag is on the receipt (match or not- the prices are exact). The worst part was I had paid CASH; so naturally I would have liked to receive cash! She was basically trying to say I couldn't return the "Runway" stuff at all with no receipt- which had blown my mind a little.?!!?! So once I finally found the right receipts they still continued to give me a cocky attitude. What really bothered me is when she raised her voice (several decibels) in front of my son! There is no need for that! As a manager it's her ability to make sure customers are satisfied in some way. She knew I wasn't satisfied and refused to work with me! If it wasn't for the Runway at the Warwick Store I probably would not return to this store- actually from now on I'd prefer going to the Tj MAXX in Framingham because they have a lot more class and willingness to assist individuals! Oh and I'm not the only TJ MAXX customer (in RI anyway) who feels this way! TJ's NEEDS TO GET IT TOGETHER- they are losing a lot of customers!!! read more

Ok so as far as TJ Maxx/Homegoods combo go, this store would need two ratings.. The Homegoods part of the store is great. Often, a tad on the messy side but I assume it is a very busy location. They have a ton of items and you can never leave empty handed. Speaking of leaving empty handed... Today I went in to look at some fun new fall fashions. I walked over to the mens department and it is as if they forgot to stock the shelves since Summer ended. There is no mens section, rather what looked like a sad representation of some men items on mostly empty racks. The "mens" section is now the size of a postage stamp and looks more like a rummage sale. We men deserve better! read more

I happen to absolutely love this TJ Maxx. I've gotten everything from a full set of Victorinox luggage to a Marc Jacobs bathing suit, not to mention oodles of Le Creuset items and Spiegleau stem wear. Ordinarily, I'd think twice about paying full-price for these items, so I'm certainly glad this TJ Maxx carries such great brands. On occasion, they have really elegant designer clothing and a great handbag selection - I've picked up a few HOBO bags and several pairs of J Brand jeans... seriously. They also carry some great makeup, skincare and hair care items. The home section is fabulous - I can't remember the last time I bought towels and wastebaskets anywhere else. They've always got loads of furniture, including outdoor stuff, and a world of throw pillows and bed sheets. Like any other TJ Maxx, it can be hit-or-miss and I have left empty-handed. However, I never let this derail me, because this place can be an absolute goldmine. read more

TJ's is a great store for active wear at good prices. I can always find a great outfit or a pair of shoes at affordable prices. House wears are usually pretty good too for a deal on sheets and pots and pans. I have bought great wedding gifts as well. The stores are mostly organized and neat so it's easy to browse through. This is a quick go to store when your looking for a special something. They carry Micheal Kors and I got a great pair of white jeans at a good price. Worth the trip. read more

The max for the minimum. They got that right. This store is great. No matter what I'm looking for I can find it here and at a great price. Today, it was sheets. I'm particular about my sheets. I want cotton and NOT sateen. That is very difficult to find these days (I'm not sure why), but they had them here; Ralph Lauren in fact. I have priced these on line for over $100 but I paid $49. Of course while I was there I couldn't resist looking around some more. Among my finds were a box of 6 really cute twisted taper candles for $6, and for $3.50 a set of four dessert plates that say Bon apetit. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because some sections of the store can be a bit messy becuase it is so busy. Otherwise, they have great merchandise at fantastic prices. For me this is a go to store, mainly because I get overwhelmed with too many stores to choose from and I really like that it can be a one stop shop. read more

One stop shopping for yourself and your home. This T.J. Maxx and Homegoods combo is a powerhouse of retail bliss for shopaholics like myself. Like any other T.J. Maxx/Marshalls stores, the clothing/shoes can be a hit or miss. Most times I find when I come here and I don't have much money to spend, I find 10 things I want to buy. When I come here and I'm looking for something in particular and have a bit of extra cash to blow, I can't find anything - that may just be Murphy's Law though. I think I may actually enjoy the Homegoods section more than the T.J. Maxx section, or at least my experiences have always been better on that side of the store as I feel I've purchased more for the home than for me. This store is ALWAYS packed and there is ALWAYS a long line, so be prepared to wait in the checkout area for at least 10 minutes. It never fails; I've been on a Saturday afternoon and on a Monday afternoon and there are shoppers running around this place like it's the last store on earth. read more

The review is written with regard to service at this TJMaxx. The lines at the checkout are always very long, and when one has to return an item, the wait is sometimes very upsetting when the nine people in front of you have at least eight to ten items. Today, it was my turn to get in to the long line to return an item which was gifted to me. There was no tag on the item, but my friend told me where it had been purchased and the cost. As always, a runner was sent to find the item to verify the price, and he returned indicating they didn't have that item. It should be noted that the item was in a department which contained only two short aisles. The front end cashiers then indicated that I had to return it to the store branch from which it was purchased which was the North Kingstown. I then texted the person who purchased the item who texted the receipt to me showing the cost and other important information. There was a large discussion amongst the cashiers who could not reach the manager about whether that was acceptable, but finally it was accepted. However, they would not return the tax because I didn't have the receipt!! So I accepted the merchandise gift card without the tax. I then went to the department to see if there was something else suitable and what do I find - two of the very exact item I had returned with their price sticker - and the price was two dollars higher. At that point, I asked for the manager who never appeared - but was given the tax money back by the cashiers. What an upsetting experience particularly in the amount of time this simple return took. It seems that a bit more training in what should be done to make customers happy about visiting TJMaxx without causing them to leave feeling frustrated and upset. read more

I was recently on the hunt for a set of luggage. I know that I am setting myself up by shopping at discount department stores for his type of item but I was feeling adventurous and a tad risky...so I began in the warwick tj's. I found the medium case I wanted and asked the clerk to call around a few local tj's to locate the remaining small and large sized members of this set. They politely obliged. I offered them the color and model number of the set I was looking for. The woman at the jewlery department was assigned to me and my cause. She appeared helpful and observably resisted the urge to chat with several friends whom she clearly knew who came to visit with her at her post. I was pleased so far that she demonstrated such dedication to my hunt. She assured me that the N.Kingstown TJ's had the remaining pieces to my desired set. I resisted my urge to buy the medium case due to the slight possiblity that the cases I was after, may not be a match. Yes I trusted the clerk at the TJ's jewelery counter.....sort of. So I trekked out to the N.Kingstown TJ's where they were holding my much desired large and small cases to complete my luggage set. It is probably evident to others where this story is going- long story short it was not the match to the set I was looking for. When i repeated the model number and color to the N. Kingtsown TJ clerk she just sort of looked at me blankly. Ah well. I at that point was exhausted from the process and settled with a luggage set that they had in it's entirety in one location. read more

I live close by and stop in frequently, which is the best way to find bargains here. In my experience it's very rare to find a specific item when I need it. This particular store isn't very neat or organized, in my opinion. On the flip side, I heard from a friend who worked there that the customers are very sloppy. read more

I mainly come here for the HomeGoods section. They have a variety of merchandise at great prices. There is something for everyone here no matter what your decor preference. The store, however, is sometimes hard to shop, and in disarray. There is almost TOO much merchandise that it makes it hard to get in and out of aisles, especially with a shopping cart and especially, especially if there is already someone in that aisle. The customer service is really good, and they're always really friendly and accommodating. Just wish there was space to move around, especially with all the catty middle aged women shopping around. read more

This store is hit or miss. I feel that the home goods section is much better then the clothing. The last two times I stopped in I felt that I spent more time rummaging through shelves then need be. I was in tjmaxx three weeks ago and lost my glasses. I called the next day asking if they had them, they hacked an said no. Then I called a week later asking again, they said no but asked to take down my number and name. They called me yesterday letting me know they had my glasses. Thank you sooo much! read more

The store its self is a mess. This is unorganized chaos. The prices however are great. But great prices on normally expensive items ALWAYS comes with a catch. People literally allow their children to run around like wild animals. And it seems like the blonde middle class middle aged white women don't know how to say excuse me they just push you out of the way and give you dirty looks. Or they will bump into you and look at you like you inconvenienced their life and ruined their day. I've never seen such a zoo in a damn store. read more
