I don't review all the places I go to or check in to them either but today's experience is worth putting out there. I have been going to kohls for a long time because I just like them better than the similar stores of this type. I like the name brand shoes especially and that it's not a Kmart kind of store. Kohls just has all the casual clothing and shoes for a persons daily operation and no the better dressed times will not bring you in here so that type of stuff is elsewhere. My daily casual shoes needed replacement and no gym shoes need to apply for that so I went to kohls and found a nice looking leather casual shoe that will fit the bill. Gym shoes and tee shirts are for the gym so I like a nice comfortable casual shoe and kohls had what I needed. While at the checkout I notice the cashier asking customers if they had coupons or discounts which I had none so I looked at the front door for a flyer and it was empty so no coupons today for me. When I got my turn I was asked if I had any coupons or discounts which I didn't and I jokingly said only if you give me one because I had none and to my amazement the cashier said she had a 20 % off discount for me. WOW my joking actually got me a discount just for a joke so I was completely impressed and felt kohls really is trying to give great customer service. I don't know if this is the norm but I didn't expect that so I left feeling good and that will definitely get me back and I got the $10 coupon also for my next visit. read more

Came into store to purchase items for my wife and was accosted by three police officers telling me lost prevention assumed I was going to steal was questioned and told not to steal very embarrassed and disturbed by the encounter. Please disregard the one star they deserve none still profiling sad. Would not recommend going there if African Americans. read more

Customer service is outsourced to another country. I received damaged items d/t poor packaging. At 1st, I only noticed 1 damaged item and called. Upon opening all of my items, the 2nd damaged item found after the initial call and was replaced in store by me driving there. I was shipped a replacement. The replacement is NOT the item ordered. So, I called back today again and was told "That happens. I can't help you." Really!? read more

I ordered an item online, for store pickup; I was going to plan to pick it up a few days later. About 3 hours later, I looked at my emails, and saw a "Your item was picked up" email and I saw an earlier email saying "your order was ready". I called, to report this, and that I had not left my house since ordering. I was put on hold for about 10 minutes, at which time the a 'robo' voice said the person I am trying to reach is not available, goodbye, and it hung up on me. I called back, and the person who I initially spoke with said she found the item and that I had 24 hours to pick it up. I asked if that is normally the timeframe (the pickup email said 1 week) and she said my manager said I need to pick up in 24 hours. While an inconvenience, I drove to Kohls the next morning and when explaining what occurred, the rep indicated this was my doing (fault) and that once I start the barcode, they can't do anything. I said I didn't do anything, to which she shook her head (dismissing me) - showed my the bag and said is this your item? I said yes, and she handed it to me, never saying thanks, or apologizing (note: no apology for being hung up on either the day before). Note: I was not rude or yelling, or said anything more than indicated above. No wonder Kohls are closing across the country - you have lost a lifelong customer. read more

Typical Kohl's, a notch better than the other chain department stores, clean, good prices, reasonable quality, friendly helpful workers. This store is a little roomier and brighter than other Kohl's. Good parking lot, convenient location. read more

I've been to this location twice and I had a good experience both times. They had a good selection of clothing and many associates ready to help answer any questions. The line was long but it's expected when the store is busy. The Amazon return center was quick and easy (2nd visit), I was in and out within 10 minutes. read more

Let me start by saying I absolutely HATE shopping so admittedly I am probably a bit harder on places to shop. When I was there, I needed to drop off an Amazon return. They were clearly under staffed, and after waiting in the customer service line for 10 minutes, I was directed to a different area where they process the Amazon stuff. No one was at the counter. After asking several times for service, they kept saying someone would be right there. I was pretty surely by the time a manager, Denise, helped me. She was pleasant and apologetic. I apologized for my mood and she was very gracious. After finding what I needed for my son, we went to check out. The coupon I had wasn't working, and over came Denise again. In the end, my items didn't qualify for the discount, however Denise took care of it for me! Thank you Denise! That was a show of great customer service! read more

Went here for curtains and found a hell of a deal. What were originally $49.99 were marked down to $14.99! Sales are all clearly marked, and if there is confusion there are always the price-checkers spread around the store. Lynne at the customer service desk was very kind and when I pointed out a stain I hadn't previously noticed on an item I was purchasing she was quick to offer to take 10% off. She congratulated us on our new home and gave us our coveted Kohl's Cash. read more

This is one of the most well organized and customer centric Kohl's stores that I've been to. Everybody is so friendly. A smile and say hi to me and ask if they can help. I find a lot of great clearance items as well. The men's department usually has my size and color. read more

With a big selection of clothing and lots of sales going on all the time, I love browsing the aisles on a day off before or after getting sushi and cocktails. If you've been to a Kohl's department store, this one is comparable to others I've been to. It's clean, the staff is nice, but not pushy. read more

Really like going to Kohls. Newly remodeled and the staff has great customer service and is always asking if they can help you. Great deals can be found with sales, extra % off and Kohls cash to combine and get great discounts. Exterior of Southridge location looks like it is not finished though since the remodel. Very plain and white. Store is very clean, good amount of checkouts open. read more

With Christmas approaching be careful with Kohl's delivery service. Ordered $80 worth of stuff to be delivered to my post box at post office, never came. Was on the phone with them for 45 minutes, telling me I am lying, directed me to fed ex who said it is Kohl's fault, no resolution. Even have a email copy of phonecall from Kohl's, which they said they never sent and had no record of talking to me. So becareful, and with customer service like that,. WILL never shop with them again. read more

I have to say that I did enjoy their selection and the quality was really quite good for the price, BUT every time I went there my inner voice was chanting "this place is the devil"! Why must everything be on sale or have a coupon (bonus bucks good for another visit but only in a very finite period of days) or buy one get one 1/2 off - can't they just mark their stuff down and enjoy more sales (purchases that is)? I actually worked in the corporate headquarters for about 6 months and it was seriously nuts in the call center - tons of employees but even so the wait time for customers was CRAZY long - they either do have or it seems like they have millions of customers! That was a couple years back so hopefully it's better now - I will say that the training was fairly good (although having worked in Credit Reporting for over 20 years, I was able to spot numerous errors in training - not that I was going to correct the "trainer" because I wanted the job). Life got hectic (my child attempted suicide and I NEEDED some time to get treatment arranged, etc.) but I was supposed to find a replacement for my shifts! That was off crazy hard - there's super little time to get to know people yet it's MY job to find a replacement in an emergency (because I wasn't there long enough for "family leave"? It's just as well as I couldn't keep up with the very strict rules. And what's with the dress code of not showing toes or armpits (what weird management person had a bad armpit experience?) oh, and the pot lucks that employees were shamed into participating in - seriously I don't eat stuff if I haven't seen your kitchen because I've seen some really sharp people have really gross kitchen situations, not to mention all those employees who didn't wash their hands coming out of the giant restrooms..ugh). And lest we forget, no punching in until exactly 3 minutes before your shift and promptly no more than 3 minutes after and if it's a minute either way you get written up!!! Jeesh.. my cubicle was so far from the time clock it took 3 minutes just to get there without stopping. Anyhow, back to retail .... there are seriously so damn many marketing campaigns at any given time that it's overwhelming. They give you a coupon for a percentage off but then you're told at the register that the Nike shoes and Levi's don't accept their coupon so these purchase won't get the discount! Could you have a sign saying that somewhere BEFORE I waste my time trying stuff on because it's supposed to be on sale! Then we sometimes only get the sales price if we use the Kohls charge which is ludicrous because I just turn around a pay for that at the same register right after the sale. I get that they want people to carry a balance to collect the interest but for those of us that want to and can pay cash, let us do it and get the sale price instead of the farce of making us use your card but then have to pay it off in two separate transactions. But the crazy campaigns kept sucking me in (see...the devil!). Well because of a huge misunderstanding after getting upset with a person at the call center when questioning a bill (because like I said, I pay it off while I'm there at the register) I got ticked and said CLOSE MY ACCOUNT. I regretted that in the morning and called again (waited, waited, waited) only to be told that it would have to go in to "review" which I actually know from training that if you call within 24 hours they should automatically reopen an account in good standing (no questions asked). Bite me .... I've been an excellent customer for 25 years and used their card when younger and needed to ... but now they're going to "teach me a lesson" and make me wait to re-open an account that has been paid in full, promptly for all these years (maybe not promptly in the early years but I paid my $25 late fees when needed!) I'm good thanks - there are tons of other places to shop that don't make me jump through hoops to find the sales or buy more than I wanted to begin with because the next piece is 1/2 off. I'm just as happy to have this devil off my back! I'm happy to give my money to stores that don't play pricing games constantly - it was exhausting! read more

Horribly rude customer service reps/cashiers. I stopped in this evening to buy some pajamas for my son around 8:15pm. Lucked out finding a two pair Carter's pajama set on clearance. Sat by the check out line as the light indicated it was open for a few minutes before a cashier at customer service stated, "If you want to check out you need to come over here." in a rude tone. When checking out the middle age cashier who stated her name was "Patty" then accused me of trying to pass off two individual sets of pajamas as a double set. Even though they were tagged together as a two pair set. When I asked to speak with a manager Patty initially told me there wasn't one available. It wasn't until I stated I know there is more than one manager in the store that all of sudden she was able to call one over. As I should have expected, the manager was less than helpful and not at all apologetic. I usually don't fill out the comment surveys, but I will be filling out this one for sure. read more
