Great selection - and this is so much more than a floristry place. They have a huge variety of plants - outdoor for both sun and shade plus succulents, bonsai, indoor plants, and flowers. This is a nice place for flowers, looks like they grow their own. It's a small place, but a nice variety . MOST of the employees are very friendly EXCEPT for one condescending employee who stood in the road at the end of the driveway trying to direct traffic even though there were two Amherst police officers that were doing a fine job. When I pulled in and parked, there was a spot that was kind of hidden and I mentioned it to the lady pulling in and low and behold this rather man looked at me and said " like I don't already know that" well POO POO ON YOU MISTER!!! I was just trying to be helpful to the next customer... as I would have liked if it were me ... All I can say is you ruined what was going to be a nice shopping experience. If you don't like you job or you think you're better than others, get the heck out and find a job where you can be secluded from the public - Will I go back there - NOPE Will I recommend this place any longer -NOPE . I went, I saw, I fell in love with many, but I am a plant mom to so many that I only took two succulents home with me and another planter that says, "Can't touch this." I love puns. When I first entered the nursery, I was promptly greeted and the employee was exceptionally friendly and offered her assistance if I needed it. The flowers and plants were beautiful in the nursery. I LOVE Mischler's! I originally stumbled upon this place as I was looking for plant shops near my work so I could go on my lunch breaks. I've been going here for over a year now for houseplants, outdoor plants and flowers, and gifts for friends and family. Mischler's has a HUGE selection and every plant is very well maintained, healthy, and happy. I can always buy a plant from Mischler's and be confident that it doesn't have any diseases or pests. My favorite is that they have a variety of sizes of all of their plants, you can start out small ($3-$4 per 4 inch plant) or buy larger monsteras, peace lilies, fiddle leaf figs, rubber figs, etc... The staff is extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. They also have a great loyalty program where you can keep your receipts and get money off future purchases. read more

I love this place! So close to my house and fair prices (on the median compared to others). This place is (I'm pretty sure) open year round because they are always busy almost all times of the year. I haven't checked inside the shop yet but lots of varitey and greenery outside. Not allot of gardening soil (mulch/compost/peet moss) in stock - not sure about pots since there's not much outdoors and I haven't been inside. read more

Wow! @mischlersfloristandgreenhouses has a huge selection of unique succulents, some I have never seen before. What I love about this place is that each succulent comes in its own terra cotta pot, and most have labels stating botanical name, common name, sun needs and descriptors. I couldn't recommend this place more!!! I purchased 11 succulents, a lemon lime maranta and two 10" terra cotta pots for $38! Mischler's also has a nice selection of indoor house plants in many sizes. Masks required, of course! read more

#32/2018 I found this florist on Yelp so we could send flowers to my little one's grandmother on her birthday. I still can't get the annoyed voice out of my head of whoever took my order. I knew what I wanted, asked for her input on what fragrant flowers were available and asked if they could attempt delivery anytime Saturday morning. She snapped at me again telling me there was "no way!" she could promise a morning delivery on Easter weekend and with funerals, etc. She offered that Friday would be better but sighed again she couldn't guarantee they'd arrive in the morning. Hey, I was just accommodating someone to be home to accept delivery. The arrangement was just like I'd asked for, the flowers were pretty (though more carnations than I'd like to see for a $65 arrangement plus $10 delivery) but overall, solid. Nana was thrilled. And, with my receipt they mailed a thoughtful, handwritten note that took time to note the recipient and hoped she'd enjoyed the flowers on her birthday. Wow, Mischler's went above and beyond in terms of service! My friend in the Buffalo area sadly lost a pet right before the holidays and I wanted to send her something to cheer her up. I wanted something living rather than cut flowers that would last and I loved Mischler's succulent selection. I placed the order the Sunday before Christmas and it was delivered Monday morning! I did not expect such a quick turnaround during the holidays. My friend loved the arrangement and the photo she sent looked even better than the sample photo on their website. I would have never known about this place if my mom didn't take me. We went because they were having a succulent sale and I ended up being really impressed by the selection and prices! I'm not a hugeee plant person, but I'm getting there. They had string of Pearl plants for $3 each when I almost bought one the same size from another shop for $22 a few weeks prior!! I absolutely love this place! I had been here 2 years ago for flowers as a surprise for my girlfriend and it was a gorgeous fall arrangement (not pictured in this post). Remembered what a beautiful job they did and decided to try them out for Valentine's Day this year, definitely not disappointed! I ordered flowers from this florist for an important occasion and after accepting the order and assuring me that they would be delivered I found out the next day that the delivery was never made. No one at the florist made any attempt to notify me of this even though they had already phoned me once to confirm the delivery address. When I called to ask what had happened I was given no satisfactory explanation. All they said was that they would refund my money. No offer of an alternative or sending something out as a form of apology. A service industry business should not make commitments and then default on those commitments with no thought of what effect this may have. read more
