Food is really good and it was fast and friendly service. I would recommend you come and check them out.

The food comes out very fast the ambiance is very light and nice. They have this robot train set. If you see the numbers on the stations where people are sitting it actually comes and delivers the food. You don't have to wait for a waitress to come and bring it to you. It's amazing. The food is delicious and I will come back again.

Receipt had to circled to show the illegal gratuity in which I paid cash tipped. Customers checked your bill!

March 1, 2025: Unfortunately, I was not happy with their service and food. The Ramen , Godzilla Roll, Calamari and chicken wings were the worse I had lately. The service was very poor, had to remind the waitress that one of our order for Romen were missing food which included egg. When we questioned our order they wanted to give after the fact. The calamari was rubbery and not tasty at all. The house special for wings were not tasty. To top it off did not realized an automatic gratuity, which it is illegal and must be used only for party of 6 or more and stated on menu, was added already given the fact I cash tipped, I had to circled the gratuity to show you how small it is on the receipt . I noticed when I was in the car it was added. According to my receipt the waitress taken care of our group was named Samantha. There were many customers who were there with limited help from the one waitress which is poor management. I definitely would not return. Food very expensive and not worth it at all. If I can give a zero I would. This is not an authentic sushi restaurant.

The tamago was so fishy (it's just egg). The edamame had no salt. The veggie gyoza was bland and not hot. If I could leave zero stars I would. Honestly, just don't eat here. I should have known better when there almost no food on the conveyor belt. Probably gonna be sick later.

    The food bullet train!

Excellent food and just a fun place to dine. I strongly recommend the vegetable takisoba and the vegetable spring roll!

A quick order out of 4 different rolls. I had no complaints. If you are in the Bay Plaza Mall and feeling for sushi go get some.

The "service charge" listed on the bill, adds 10% to the subtotal.

My review is about the restaurant's business practices. This may be common to some, but this is new to me because I recently started trying out restaurants in my area. Before you pay your check, please look it over carefully. A 10% "service charge" is already tacked on the bill. Don't be confused by the "tip suggestions" below. Otherwise, you will be tipping way more than you usually would. The server told me that the charge goes toward the tip amount. Therefore, if you are tipping 15%, add another half of the service charge. If you are tipping 20%, just match the service charge, etc. I added $4 which made my tip to be 25%. FYI, I miscalculated. Anyway, we only ordered the bento box and one ramen soup. The beef in the bento box was a tad salty. There wasn't much in my ramen soup. About 3 thin slices of pork, some bamboo shoots, and half of one hard-boiled egg to go with the noodles. I went to try out the "revolving" concept. The place, overall, is decent. But I don't see myself returning any time soon.

I have been DREAMING of getting a revolving sushi location close to me in CT. A few years ago I had…read moreto drive out to Boston to find one, but now it seems there's one right in New Haven. Chidori Revolving Sushi is a New Haven go-to for me. The premise is fun: you sit somewhere in the restaurant, that location has access to a conveyer belt system that is full of sushi at all times. You can grab any plate, usually containing 2 pieces of sushi, and once you're done, you're charged by putting the plate in a slot by your seat. The plates are colored based on price ($2.58 for blue plates, usually basic rolls like a philadelphia roll or spicy tuna roll, $3.79 for red plates, the most common type, which contain the specialty rolls, and then $5.79 for black plates, which are usually slices of fish over a piece of rice and much more fish-heavy). This format lets you try out a bunch of rolls, rather than committing to just 1 or 2. This is great if you're like me and get full a bit fast but love trying as many things as possible! There is also a tablet where you can order appetizers, full rolls, drinks, and more! I tried a number of rolls, with my favorite by far being the New Haven roll, which was fried and full of jalapeños and spicy tuna. I also loved the Steelers roll, with mango and salmon, and the angry roll, which was like a philadelphia roll with smoked salmon and kani on top! I had some of the mushroom soup, which was super dissimilar to the typical clear soup with mushroom broth and was instead very very strong on the mushroom. A super thick and oily broth, it was so rich and umami it was almost hard to finish, but super delicious!! I also had the pepper tuna appetizer, which was thicker and chewier than I'm used to, but the gimmick of this place is about the conveyer belt so I didn't expect complete perfection! Finally, I had the taiyaki dessert--a SHOWSTOPPER. Delicious and perfectly fried, the red bean is scrumptious inside and the ice cream is a great touch. After 10 plates are put into their little device, you get a small gacha toy which is a cute touch! I got a little Kuromi which was fun. Overall, I love this place. I recommend it a ton. My favorite appetizer the sexy jalapeño--a spicy tuna filled and fried jalapeño! Definitely swing by and give a bunch of different sushi pieces a try. The best time to hit it is when it's busy--I went at 8pm on a saturday and it seems they had just stopped putting more sushi out, since they close at 9. This meant the sushi slowly dwindled and I didn't get to try anything different from what I saw the first go-around. But it's still worth it!

Friends took me here for my birthday and we had reservations at another place, but they "lost" them? All of us have been here before so we decided why not, and see what happens. The place was incredibly busy, we had about a 20 minute wait but it was worth it! Our server Robert was top notch. Professional and cordial. He Immediately came over with glasses of water, garlic bread, cheese and olive tapas, a house salad, and napkins. Tried the broiled fisherman's combo: shrimp, scallops, fish fillet, mussels, stuffed clams, lobster tail, and a side, I opted for linguini with garlic aioli. Everything was cooked very well and the presentation amazing and beautiful. Now here's something you don't see every day; an actual stuffed clam where the clam is still partially attached to the shell! None of that surimi crap! Finished the meal with a double espresso, shared a tartufo and cheese cake. I don't know if the digestif was complementary, but it was a nice touch. I don't know how the kitchen keeps up with the orders. The waitstaff must put a few miles on their feet a day and a cardio workout carrying the trays overflowing with food. Amazing! Everything in the restaurant is kept neat, clean, and organized. The music is not overwhelming. You can hear each other at the table. When the weather is a little nicer, they have beautiful outdoor seating with views of Long Island sound. It is very romantic, when the sun is setting, you can imagine yourself being somewhere exotic and far away. As the song goes; "Sometimes you don't know what you got till it's gone."
