Came to try since I saw it online. Staff was very kind and service is good. The issue is with the ordering. I came with a party of 4 and was only allowed to order every 5 minutes, as the iPad will time out and not allow you to order again. Understand this might be due to food waste or over ordering. The conveyor belt can use signs, and at some point of times it was only fruits or seaweed salad spinning around. Standouts include salmon, squid and scallops. Concept is cute and restaurant is bright and clean, but I think it becomes tough at an all you can eat when you have to keep waiting to eat or order. Especially if you come hungry!

I hate to say it, but this might be the best AYCE sushi restaurant I've been to in Jersey. It's gimmicky, don't get me wrong, but in the best way. Upon entering, you've entered a high speed Japanese train with lights and signage surrounding you. The little train cars that bring your food are super fun, and the conveyor belt is actually filled with food. The little robots that bring you appetizers are a fun touch too! There's a great mix of both sushi and cooked food here, and each dish has such amazing flavor (which is surprising for an AYCE establishment.) I was fully expecting something to taste off or not hit the mark, but that never came. While the sushi rolls are fun, the cooked food is definitely the star. The fried rice was flavorful, meats had great sear to them and the sauces were tasty. I've never been to an all you can eat that had agedashi tofu, so it was a surprise to me seeing this on the menu! Whether you're into raw sushi or cooked meals, there's food for everyone. I fully understand why wait times are so long - we waited for 1.5 hours for an early weekend dinner. Definitely need to visit this place at least once, maybe twice, or just all the time, because the bang for your buck here is unreal!

This place quickly became one of my favorite AYCE sushi spots. The staff are extremely kind and attentive. We came on a Friday around 6 and they were getting busy. I joined the waitlist on Google for two people and were seated within 10 minutes. The sushi is fresh and tasty. They have a large selection of cooked/hot food. We enjoyed a lot of it- fries, steak hibachi, fried calamari. The only thing we didnt enjoy is the ramen. The soup was just too watered down. You order the food from the ipad and can also pick items off the conveyor belt. The food you order on the ipad either comes from a person, robot, or a little train. The place itself is super fun with so many aspects of a Japanese train station. Would definitely come back!!

I stopped into this restaurant for lunch and when I arrived I parked in the plaza lot. I walked in and was greeted and sat! The place was busy! Angie was my server and she was awesome! I ordered: Strawberry Refresher Tea Black Tea Latte Pink Lady Roll Cucumber, crab meat, Shrimp Tempura Shrimp Skewer Eel Seared Steak Spicy Seafood Ramen Steak Hibachi Chocolate Cake I loved the pink lady roll and the Eel Seared Steak! All in all a good, fun experience!

Did you know AYCE revolving sushi exists!?? I didn't until I went here. They opened not too long ago and they are quite innovative. You have 4 ways of receiving your food: 1. On the conveyor belt 2. By the train ( they are really committing to the bit) 3. By the robot server 4. The old fashion way human server I do think the stuff on the conveyor belt are ... Okay. You're not going to get the freshest fish or the fanciest rolls but I love the gimmick. The better items are listed on the iPad. One caveat for ordering through the iPad you can only select 5 items every 5 mins. (I do think it's a great way to prevent ppl from over ordering and wasting food. But it's a little annoying too. You're just patiently waiting for the 5 min timer to be done) We ordered / grabbed: Various sushi And handrolls (the ones on the conveyor belt have 2 pieces on each plate) Seaweed salad Beef negamaki Edamame Takoyaki Coconut shrimp (the coconut is really strong) Pepper lemon. Chicken wings Dumplings Scallops sushi Salmon ceviche White tuna ceviche Tako salad ( I would skip) Softshell crab Shrimp skewers Matcha cheesecake Quite a lot of variety of dishes I think this spot is a great spot for a taste of conveyor belt sushi

I saw this place online and thought it looked really cool. It was a good experience and the atmosphere was really cool and very Instagram worthy. The food was good but definitely nothing amazing you'd have to go back for. My parents didn't like their sushi, I guess it is typical to not have the best quality food at buffet-style places. The one part that stuck with me is our server was kind of rude, he got our drink order wrong, and when we told him we ordered something else he blamed it on us saying that we misspoke (there was 4 of us there to confirm we 100% ordered the right thing). Just not right for a server to blame the customers. Was it cool? Yes. Would I go back? No.

Shinjuku Station offers an awesome experience, especially for those looking for a nice night out with family or friends. The all-you-can-eat revolving sushi was a vibe. While the wait time can be a bit long, the experience is definitely worth it. The prices are reasonable, I thought. I found the selection of sushi to be solid, with each piece tasting fresh and delicious. The service is also noteworthy; the staff remains attentive and ensures everything runs smoothly. Overall, this place is definitely a thumbs up for anyone looking to enjoy great sushi in a lively environment. Plenty of parking as well.

Loved everything about this sushi place. It was a Wednesday and we did arrive 5minutes after they opened and there was no line at all. The interior design is so cool and really clean. The sushi belt is top of the line and the robot is so cool! The sushi was fresh and everything was delicio

Shinjuku Station offers a pretty mediocre revolving sushi experience. For me, the standouts here were the appetizer options. We tried the Cajun fries, shumai, fried calamari, crab rangoons, and chicken skewers. Everything was so yummy and was accompanied by a delicious sauce. However, the sushi options left something to be desired. The nigiri had decent fish quality, but there was an overwhelming amount of rice in proportion to the fish. I quite liked the scallop offered. In terms of rolls, most fell short. While some of the simpler rolls like spicy crab were yummy, all of the special rolls we tried were disappointing. A lot of these rolls are drenched in sauce and have mediocre fish. Despite being different, all of them kinda blended together because they lacked any unique flavor. What really makes this restaurant standout is the interior design. They have a really cool Shinjuku Station theme covering the whole restaurant, including the ceiling. The revolving sushi bar and robot servers offer a fun novelty unlike most restaurants. The table was also pretty spacious for all the food we were grabbing and ordering. The service here is so-so. Our server was super apologetic about the fact that we had to wait a few minutes for our tablet, which was super nice of her. She promptly brought out our drinks and side sauces. Most of our orders came out pretty quickly, whether they came from the little train or the robot. They also have a lot of staff coming around to take finished plates. One of the employees did take away a couple plates after we said we were still working on them, which was a little inconvenient but not a huge deal. Overall, not my favorite sushi spot but we still had a pretty fun time here.

I have been here a few times and I will say they've made some changes The sushi is good for the $$ value. You will get full fast so don't make a fuss about the time limit it is plenty They added labels to the belt so you know what your picking up It's not for all of the sushi but many And they added menu options Don't bother with the bubble tea is was terrible. The tapioca was very squishy like chewing plastic. It's not included either so just pass on that

    A picture of the outside

The food was a solid 7/10. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out as exceptional either. We visited as a group of five and were automatically charged a 20% gratuity, even though it was lunchtime. One member of our party has an avocado allergy, and we found that there were very few menu options without avocado. In many cases, removing avocado wasn't an option, which made ordering more challenging than expected. My biggest criticism, however, was the military discount policy. As a military family of five, we were surprised to learn that the discount only applied to the individual presenting a military ID rather than the entire check, as many other restaurants do. It was especially frustrating that our child, who is a minor and therefore does not have a military ID, was not included in the discount. Overall, the experience was okay, but between the service, pricing, and food quality, I would probably choose Kura Revolving Sushi in the future.

Came here for my birthday dinner at 540pm on a Saturday. I was told a 25 minute wait but it was actually only 5 minutes, a pleasant surprise. Our waiter Kye, was super helpful and took care of all our needs. My kids had a blast taking the dishes off the conveyor belt and the trains. For an all you can eat restaurant, there are many options to choose from. You're allowed 5 orders every 5 minutes which is ok for our group of 4. The quality of the sushi is average but again, the vibe of the place is what drew us in. Also, my 3 year old is still free which is a plus. I paid less money here than when eating at Kura. We'll be back for sure.

This is a tough one because a lot of their items on the conveyor belt are not labeled.

As of now it is all you can eat at the price of $32.99 but there are extra charges for certain items.

But i was expecting a lot before coming here due to all the reviews i found. The food is not good like other Japanese restaurant some of the sashimi is very cold like just thawed ( we eat here around 1pm sunday) and some are not fresh anymore and where talking about sashimi this should be always fresh. The presentation is the big factor here for experience but it's better if they served quality, fresh sashimi. We order also shrimp tempura the breading is like tonkatsu breading so the tempura is not like the typical Japanese tempura it taste like chicken tenders covered with tonkatsu breading. The price for the sashimi we order with nice presentation $70, a little pricey For just few slices of sashimi. l think what we paid here is the presentation and experience to see the revolving conveyor of choo choo train. My recommendation it's up to you guys to try ..

KAITZEN is Pronounced like: "Kite"- "Zen". It means revolving, a staff member told me. It's a fun meal because you order from a tablet, and your food is delivered to you on a conveyor belt. A bot/robot delivers closed drinks, such as a can of soda or bottled beverage. There are human staff members to help you. You can summon for service in the tablet. So, when I wanted to know what was inside the ocean roll, or green dragon roll, I summoned a server, and asked for the details. The server brought me a laminated detailed menu description, which was GREAT!! Loved it! I just tapped away on the tablet, and in a few minutes my sushi arrived via conveyor belt. I love this . Food was decent and I really enjoyed the handrolls! The nigiri was tasty and there were interesting combos of nigiris to choose from, like torched salmon with mayo. I would come back to try dinner. I wanted to try Otter for awhile and popped in for lunch. At $34.95 AYCE, the ambiance is nice but I expected more. Staff was very attentive and friendly. The belt itself I felt was marked but the plates were being just loaded where there was space - so the labels were correct only part of the time. The rolls were decent but it got to a point where each just tasted very slightly different so it started getting repetitive. Apps were fine but nothing noteworthy enough to order again. The options on the belt were much more plentiful than the ones on the menu to order. Lunch you're limited to only nigiri (sashimi is dinner only) and the options are pretty basic at just octopus, salmon, tuna, saba, etc. The belt design could be better, very slow pace and the divider on each side makes it that it's easy for the tables on the other side to grab things. We actually had the best seat where the items come out first but our neighbors on the other side started reaching out to grab things. This was at lunch which as I mentioned, had limited options - I wonder how much more primal diners will be in the evening with better choices. At $34.95 pp - would not come back for lunch. Just way too few options and I can't order what's on the belt. Kura for example, even if you have a crappy seat where most of the belt is picked through.. I can order EVERYTHING a la carte. I'd be willing to check out dinner to see what that extra $10 gets me. For lunch though - either the price needs to decrease or the options need to increase. I wouldn't recommend lunch service in its current form. Service though, A+++.
