It's been 13yrs since my last visit to Edos and glad it's still around. It was an old faithful for family celebrations and occasional date nights. We had a group of 9 for a birthday celebration. Reservations were for 7pm, we were seated as soon as our entire group arrived. The portions are still large, the prices have not changed as much either. The food has slightly changed, the noodles are thinner, the shrimps are smaller, but the steak is just as tender and all is flavorful. Our hibachi chef was talented with the knives and utensils. Entertained us with flames and flying food. The service is still great. Our server Tiffany, was amazing! She took very good care of us. After work, a few people wanted to go get dinner. They raved about "Edo Japanese Steakhouse." I couldn't say no, I mean they drove, so I went to the steakhouse. Parking was good, the place is in a center so that helped. Inside, the place was big. A lot of sitting. A waitress takes your orders, but the main attraction is the personal chef. He prepares your food in front of you and even toss some in your mouth. If you're thirsty, don't worry, he takes care of that too, but be careful, I'm told it's not water he's serving. Once he's done, you get a huge meal. Make sure you come hungry, and take home is an option. I liked the food. It wasn't like I'm going to sing it from the roof tops, but it was good. I probably wouldn't go on my own, but who knows. If my peers want to eat and they drag me there again, I wouldn't say no. read more

Very slow service, and the all you can eat is terrible. Some of it was frozen food from Costco that they microwaved, but not very tasty and pretty doughy, sushi served was Very Slow and ridiculously small portions. We ordered a meat dish and another dish and they took so long to serve them we weren't hungry. Will not be returning there at all. read more

My husband ordered 2 salmon and shrimp meals to go. The food was absolute trash. The worst tasting salmon I have ever had. Overcooked and hard and the shrimp were so tiny and overcooked too! The ambiance is pretty loud with lots of noises and a lot going on -- it's what you would expect at a hibachi restaurant. good overall family vibes and conversing with the chefs. I ordered and paid for a pint of ginger sauce to go (for my discarded food), only to open the bag at home and find mustard sauce instead, after having a discussion with the waitress specifically about what I was asking for and showing her on the table. It was my child's birthday and I paid for a birthday desert/song and got a rushed song sang by the manager and 1 chef. I was not offered any compensation for the discarding of my meal. Even though we had a reservation for 5 we still were not seated until 6:15. That's a long wait with no place to sit. It was revolving people attending the front & no one could say how long exactly we had to wait. I felt I was going to pass out standing there for so long. This was my second time here with my mom who introduced me to Edo's. The food was delicious and our chef was funny. It was fun watching him do his thing and even funnier watching people trying to catch food in their months. It's really noisy but the service and food makes it worth putting up with the noise. They have some explaining to do....i ordered 4 orders of fried rice with no egg....i pick it up, get home, and the it's just sticky rice with soy sauce on it. This place used to be so good. The hostesses here just don't care. They are rude and snotty...just unpleasant. We waited 36 min after our reservation time. It just isn't worth it. That being said, and I don't say this lightly, their front of house operation is a joke. My family and I had a 6pm reservation recently and we weren't seated until after 7pm. We checked in at the front to figure out what was going on and were told "it should be any minute" so many times that it actually became offensive. Growing up, we would always go to Edo's Steakhouse in Pelham. I was there tonight for a birthday, and was excited because I haven't been there in a couple of years. The food was delicious, however I was in shock that they charge an additional fee for fried rice. I was more in shock that they had no green tea or red bean ice cream. This is my 3rd time coming to edo. The food is yummy I usually get steak and shrimp or scallops with the yummy fried rice. They start you off always with soup then a salad then noodles. After your meal they bring out ice cream. I also got appetizers which was the buffalo dumpling soo good! The place is good to eat at for entertainment as they put on a show while they cook the food. This is great for a date but just keep in minding you will be sitting next to other people that you may not know. They have a bar area for those times where the place is crowded and you have to wait for your table. They do take reservations and walk ins. I went as a walk in waiter about 25 minutes. I have been going to the spot for maybe 20yrs now. They never disappoint. Service and food is the best.

Everything was perfect. We had a reservation but some bridge opening up on some highway to allow some boat/ship to pass said "you're late!". When we got there though it was crowded (Late Sunday evening), the wait wasn't long enough to give us more time for drinks from the lovely chatty bar-lady. We were seated with one couple and three other guys. How did we become the entertainment for the evening is the question but we were thanked at the end for all the jokes and for making their evening wonderful. Payments please. No I'm serious I sometimes get paid for this. **Stares** The food was good. The real entertainment from the hibachi chef went down well and I enjoyed singing along to birthday celebration songs from other tables even though I don't usually speak the language.
