I had lots of questions being that it was my first time lol I wanted to know what was popular, what they liked most on their own menu, etc etc but they never seemed bothered by my 21 questions! This is not your same old Kolache shop. If you stop here once you will be back. I have never been a fan of kolaches, but this place puts a new spin on them. Walked in, person behind the [kolache] bar was very helpful and got a sausage cheese jalapeño kolache, was awesome. I was skeptical after reading so many rave reviews...Why do we do that, anyway? However everything I read is true, and then some! For starters, the service is over the top friendly and helpful, but very genuine. Our order: One dozen assorted donuts - the blueberry cake donut is what breakfast dreams are made of. Super soft, but with that but of crunch that makes a great cake donut, in my opinion. Light on the glaze, just perfect! The buttermilk donuts were all delicious, and melt in your mouth. Kolaches - the Chappell Hill sausage kolache is enough for an entire meal. The bread surrounding the link is not too soft, not too sweet. We got the spicy variety with jalapeno and it had a great kick! Ham & cheese kolache was good, but the croissant variety was amazing. Flaky and buttery, just like you expect. We are huge fans of Queen Donut, but don't always want to make the drive...And now we don't need to! I'll be a repeat customer for sure. read more

Donuts are fresh and great. Employees were very nice and friendly. Downside...no napkins, dirty bathroom, and no paper towels to dry hands off, and drink cooler was broken. With a toddler in tow the dirty bathroom and no paper towel was a big issue. I will love to give them another chance. Hopefully they can change those few things. read more

Well this place pleasantly surpass my expectations. I am glad I opted to go inside than to do the drive thru option. I was greeted right away by Nate the owner/manager. The place was clean and organized and pretty simple if you ask me. The place had a variety of flavors but I had read some of the reviews on help to make a decision. I came for the kolaches. Nate immediately made suggestions and assisted me right away. He shared that they barely opened 4 months ago. He was nice enough to give away samples and let me tell you, the sample he gave me was hot and regular size. Not cut up little pieces or left out cold for you try. He will give you a whole kolache if it is your first time. The deal on here 3 for 3 is great! The sample he gave me was Italian chicken. The hot fluffy bread was moist and tasty. The right amount of cheese was melted with the chicken concoction inside of the roll. It was delicious and hot there's no way I'm wasting the sample. Nate was helpful and friendly. He even gave me some free samples of the sweet items. They do accept credit cards and is located near by West Oaks Mall. After my purchase I had myself the sausage and cheese kolache. It was still warm and fresh. Usually the bread is what makes it or breaks it for me and this place the bread makes it. Definitely be back to try some new items and some more of their sausage kolaches. read more

If you ate here 4+ months ago, I have news for you: the sub-par kolaches of yester year are gone and the new hotness is here to stay! The new owner has been baking 15+ years, and his kolaches are legit. Seriously, guys. He has a different take on kolaches (what with flavors like Italian Chicken, Tex Mex, BBQ and more!), but they're out of this world good! And the new owner is a sweet as he can be, too! He gave us free samples and was genuinely hospitable. Sometimes you forget what it's like to be treated well as a customer, and these guys show you how much they appreciate your patronage. Nice mom and pop shop for donuts/kolaches! I ALWAYS get the spicy boudin kolache and some glazed donuts. The donuts are made daily but they're not fresh when you get them (unless you come at 6am in the morning). I've been coming near their closing time (around noon) so I'm not complaining. In the case that you come around noon time, they'll usually microwave your kolaches for you. Not really a big deal they microwave the kolaches the perfect amount of time anyway. Also, everytime that I've come here, they gave me an extra few donuts? I'm not sure why, but I'm not complaining! Maybe it's because they weren't able to sell them all and decided to get rid of any extras? Either way, I love this place - it beats Shipley's/Krispy Kreme by a landslide! read more

Great kolaches! Went with my bf and we got the jalapeño/sausage/cheese, 2 chicken enchiladas, sausage/gravy, Italian chicken, and Tex-Mex. They were all super soft and delicious! Also got one blueberry donut, and it was amazing! They also gave us free donut holes. read more

I drove 30 mins to get the best kalaches in town for my daughter yesterday. She said she needs to bring to Minneapolis for her coworkers because there is no kalaches bakery overthere. I couldn't believe my taste buds! I mentioned kolaches this morning and my girlfriend suggested this place, I thought it was still the old nasty store I remember from months ago. Boy was I mistaken... It's a completely new store. As soon as we walked in and looked at the menu, the owner, Nate, greeted us with excitement and asked if it was our first time, to which we replied yes. He proceeded to give us a sample of his hot new specialty, pan sausage and jalapeño. I was hooked on the first bite. And after looking through his selection, we ended up orderling over $20 worth of kolaches! And on top of the kolaches, Nate threw in a couple of doughnuts and a cinnamon roll for free! The service was amazing, food was more than delicious, better than kolache factory, and Nate is one of the kindest, most generous people I've met. Highly recommend this shop.
