    Variety of kolaches.
    Gary L.

I've been in Columbus for nearly 13 years, having relocated from Houston, and I am happy to report I FINALLY found legit Texas kolaches in central Ohio. It's a 30-40 minute drive out to Centerburg from downtown, but trust me it's worth your time! The savory kolaches are baked fresh and kept warm until served. The dough is soft and delicious and filled with a combination of meats (ham, bacon, and sausage), cheese, and other fillings (jalapeño, egg). And the sweet pastries come in a variety of fruit flavors which rotate daily. Do yourself a favor and stop in. You won't be disappointed!!

Very cute atmosphere. I loved the plum kolache, it was sweet, flavorful, fluffy and delicious! I also got a tomato egg and cheese kolache and didn't love that one but it was ok. It had a bit of an artificial aftertaste. The mocha with carmel I had was very good. The menu had a lot of options, and offered unique delicious sounding coffees and pastries. The barista was very kind. There was a cozy area to sit, the decor and music were very inviting and nice. I will definitely be going back and look forward to trying other menu items.

First time visit after our Centerburg friends raved about it. I'll be honest, it was a little rough for a first visit. We were greeted at first but really no one asked us to take our order for a good while. We just kind of stood there awkwardly until finally the young lady asked us what we wanted. They looked busy but only one person was in front of us. Bottom line, operationally I think they need to tighten things up as it looked like speed of service could have been better. One of the staff seemed maybe new and was a little flustered so I felt bad for her. The good news is that they must have regulars. The other gal new several people's name which was really awesome! I mean where does that happen anymore? Let's moved to the reason we were here...Kolache's! Ordered the breakfast sausage egg and cheese and a chocolate covered strawberries and cream cheese kolache. The breakfast sausage egg and cheese was good and flavorful. I would have appreciated maybe some salsa, ketchup or tobacco on the side as a condiment. Don't get me wrong, it was good but would have been nice to have a condiment as I am a guy who eats his omelets with tobasco and ketchup. the chocolate covered strawberries and cream cheese was underwhelming. Portion seemed small for $3.95. Was messy to eat unless you used a fork and they don't have those here. Flavor was ok but really I think they need to serve this heated or maybe throw it in the microwave for 10 seconds. Not sure if I would make the 30 minute trip to come here again but if I were in town it was good enough for me maybe to give it a second try and hopefully have an improved experience.

Hidden gem in Centerburg, OH! Not sure why it's taken me this long to give this place a try! The owner made our delicious coffees. I had the latte of the month... Cinco De Mocha Latte and oh my goodness!! Who knew that a hint of cayenne heat in coffee would work!! Fire! He was so friendly and welcoming & gave us a brief history of the kolache. We shared a bacon, egg & cheese and a bacon, egg & cheese w/ jalapeño kolache. Both were equally delish but I'm partial to a little "heat" in my savory. We also split an apple kolache (wish i had gotten my own ). The pastry on both savory and sweet was so fluffy and delicious! We had never heard of the kolache and my review will not do it justice so you just have to venture in and try it/them for yourself! You won't be disappointed!!

    A glorious mocha latte

Incredible little gem in the little gem of centerburg! If you're passing through I definitely recommend stopping for an incredible latte, smoothie, or whatever suited your fancy! I'm from Spokane, WA, and currently a missionary at CYSC at Damascus nearby and this will certainly be my new Saturday chill spot! Great customer service and atmosphere!!

They have seating upstairs, downstairs, and a little patio out back (covered by shade). They were unfortunately cleaning the downstairs area for closing today, but we were able to find a table out on their patio! I ordered the special of the month - Salted caramel cold brew with chocolate cold foam. I will literally NEVER go back to Starbucks or any chain coffee shop after trying their cold foam! The salted caramel isn't overpowering, but is delicious! The cold brew is smooth and refreshing! I also ordered the chicken salad on a croissant. Again... never disappointing! I don't know who was toasting the croissants, but they deserve a trophy! The croissant was perfectly toasted. The chicken salad is also absolutely amazing! We will definitely be frequenting this place more often this summer!

I ordered a coffee -- it was good, solid brew -- but apparently, I need a loan officer to locate the creamer station. My cup didn't come with half & half, and after a minute of wandering around looking suspiciously at other people's drinks, I gave up. Not a big deal... I like a little mystery with my caffeine. At 9 AM, the place was absolutely packed -- clearly the spot for locals, commuters, and people who just like the smell of ambition. Despite the crowd, the atmosphere was fun and friendly, and the old bank vault inside was legitimately cool. It's not every day your latte comes with a side of "Great Depression chic." Final Verdict: Great coffee, lively crowd, and a vault that could probably survive the apocalypse. Creamer? Classified information.

I still decided to utilize their walk up window simply because I had a car full of dogs and I didn't want them to miss me. The window is pretty easy. It does have an awning, but it doesn't really work very well when it's raining cause it's a little narrow and width. However, the barista prioritized me standing in the rain and quickly took my order I told her I was gonna go back and wait in the car because I had a car full of dogs. When my coffee was ready, she noticed that I was getting attention to my dogs and she decided to hand-deliver my coffee to my car. It's a little things like that that make a difference to somebody's day. Whoever does a hiring at this location has a talent for picking the best people. The ratings in this place are solid five star so it's confusing why but perhaps I had a bad experience with the food and that's not reflective of the whole place of course. First off, the service was good. The girl was friendly and told me I should come back to try that strawberry drink that was on the sign. Second, I can't judge a drink since I didn't have one so late in the evening, but I did get a piece of coffee cake and it was one of the worst things I have eaten in a long time. It tasted like paste in my mouth... Purely flour , butter and sugar. There was not a texture from a crumble at all. And the cinnamon was a complete afterthought. When I say that it tasted mostly like flour, I am not exaggerating. Lastly, the place definitely is cute inside and it seems to be connected to the Goat by hallway.
