Great place. Great staff we had the breakfast special as well. Forgot to take photos of it.

Lentil soup is thick, hot, and perfect food for the soul.

Came here today for the first time. The service was polite and friendly. Free fast wifi. They serve soups, paninis, bagels, smoothies, and espresso based drinks. Normal drop coffee is like 1.15, 2, 2.15 for S,M, L respectively. I got the lentil soup which was really good ($6.5). And I got the roasted chicken panini w goat cheese ($9.75) Yum! It's served w a bit of Potato salad (tastes like store bought Ziggys) but everything else tasted really good. A bit on the pricier side but it's a nice place in downtown toronto w good offerings.

I visited on a Monday afternoon. Its a very pleasant environment, a little loud for those who need total silence to read. The wifi is free, but a little bit slow (though I did have Outlook open on my computer and was browsing the internet, as well as downloading songs onto my iPhone on Spotify and streaming Spotify, as well as downloading podcasts in the background on my iPhone). I had a BBQ chicken sandwich with a side of chickpeas. The sandwich was very good. I would normally say its not worth $9.50, but that is standard here in downtown Toronto. I also got a hot chocolate, which was quite good (definitely much better than Starbucks). Though they did lose a few points for the over-priced hot chocolate ($4.50/large). The seating was adequate (though I have a filling it fills up on the weekends [especially when cooler out]). I sat in one of the comfy orange chairs. The whole place has a very cozy/quaint feel. There is also outdoor seating on the sidewalk (covered/shade), though I didn't sit out there (for fear of a slower wifi connection - gotta download my Comedy Bang Bang podcast!). The staff was very pleasant, and courteous. If I am ever back to this area of Toronto I will be sure to stop by.

Beautiful inside lounge - with a really cool piano

Came here today for first time - easy to walk by and miss but it's beautiful inside; both in cleanliness and decor. Staff were very friendly and engaged in conversation, letting me know about upcoming local events. I was offered free honey waffle samples while enjoying my late inside. Prices are not to bad all things considered. Working piano inside is a nice touch. Will be back to try some selections of baked goods.

They don't know how to make coffee. I am pretty sure every cofee you order on the menu is made the same.

But if you genuinely appreciate the quiet, uncompromising craft of a perfectly extracted espresso, this hidden pocket on Lombard is one of the finest sanctuaries in the city. The interior design is minimal, stripped-back, and refreshingly unpretentious. It lacks the loud, chaotic aesthetic clutter of mainstream downtown cafes, which immediately creates a calm, focused environment. Logistically, their setup is incredibly precise - they offer three rotating single-origin beans & the barista took the time to silently and carefully weigh the dose, maintaining absolute consistency in the extraction parameters. My flat white was balanced, smooth & served at the exact proper thermal threshold without being scalded. The staff are polite, deeply knowledgeable & respect your boundaries; they provide exceptional service without trying to force superficial conversation. A clean, honest & high-integrity establishment for anyone who values actual substance and a bit of true neighborhood peace. A highly reliable daily anchor.

Given the proximity to several major tourist sites and stadiums, guests should expect to wait in line for tables at times. We visited in summer, so we were totally happy with a wait for a patio table, given we live in major food cities where this is common. Once we were seated after about a 25-minute wait, it took several minutes for our host to bring us water. Finally, our server arrived, and with minimal support or answers to our questions, we had to decide on very specific meal options since some menu items were out of stock, and allergy/content information could not be confirmed since the server repeatedly forgot to ask management. Our drink orders arrived after our meals did, and two out of three meals were incorrect. On top of this, the correct meal had meat added to it despite the guest being a vegetarian. After we pointed this out to the server, nothing was changed, and we waited a full meal service before they showed up again. We repeatedly requested water refills, only to receive new glasses of water as we departed. The server blamed the water station's distance on the 30-minute delay. If this is truly the case, you need to add multiple new water stations for staff to use. Holy cow! Luckily, none of us would die for these errors, but they were the most concerning dining experiences any of us have experienced. Not once did the team or server show concern, and we did our best to leave a low gratuity. I hate to be that person, but damn, y'all have a lot to improve upon. I normally collect coasters from breweries I attend, but this was the first time I have specifically refused to ask for merchandise from a brewery. Good luck to whoever has this server and team next. We will not return.
