We were told by Josh Talburt the owner of Pud's Paint/Fab & Collision the car would be ready on Wednesday 2/15/23. I called Wednesday and was told it would be ready until Friday. When my wife and I went to pick up the car on Friday the car was covered in dust with the keys on the roof parked outside. The interior of the car was filthy with stains on the front seats. The Drivers door where the dent was looked like someone painted with a spray can. We told Josh that this was unacceptable. He said he would "Buff it out". He did. When the car was retuned to us later on Friday there was a dent that was not there Friday morning. Josh told us to bring it back and he could "PDR" the dent. I told Josh Talburt this is not where I will do business ever in the future. I have several cars that I wanted to give to him for restoration. I suggest anyone reading this to think twice before taking any vehicle to this business! I spent all day Saturday 2/18/23 cleaning up the mess that "PUD'S Paint Fab & Collision left for me. The remedy that Josh Talburt gave me was he charged me $500 instead of the agreed estimate of $750 to $800. Trust me I would rather of paid the $800 to have my car done right. This is no way to run a business. Josh Talburt's exscuses were everything from supply chain issues to "I had an emergency road service. The last exscuse on Friday was one of his workers Uncles I believe had a heart attack! Again do yourself a favor do not use this business!

Last Friday we had a deer jump in front of our 2016 Chevy 2500. We have significant damage to the front bumper, air dam and grill. Without hesitation this morning we took this one to Pud's also. He will be able to have all repairs done next week and will help us deal with insurance to file the necessary claim documents. Josh and his crew are great to work with. When my truck was dropped off to have a door replaced and painted, a week and a day after I was…read moresupposed to have it back I received a phone call saying my truck would not start. When I confronted the owner about it he denied any responsibility and refused to cover the cost to get it running again. He claimed a truck with 201,000 miles would have parts that "just go bad." I would agree an older vehicle could have bad parts except a new engine was put in the truck in May of 2024. Mr. Ron also got very angry and hung up on me twice while I was trying to talk to him. The starter did not "just go bad" as they claimed. It was the starter, both batteries, three fuses and a relay that were replaced in order to fix the issue. I don't know what they did but they still deny any responsibility. Also part of the paint did not match. The red on the truck was fine, but the gray was very much not the same. They claimed they never said it would, but their website boasts a "paint match guarantee." The stripes wavy and uneven. I took it back up to talk to them about the paint but the same anger and rude attitude was brought by Mr. Ron. He said they would "fix" it by repainting it but I don't have the time to give them the truck another two weeks, nor do I trust they could fix the issue. I asked (not demanded which I was accused of) for a partial refund but it was refused and the only explanation was "I'm just not going to. End of discussion." Mr. Ron proceeded to storm off yelling through the door as he left. Interestingly enough their website also has an "On the Road Again Guaranteed" badge. My truck was not on the road again. It had to be towed from their shop. I will never return to this shop and I most certainly will not recommend it to anyone.

They were also spot on with the white pearl paint match, and they completed the work in a reasonable amount of time. There was a slight extension to the original time frame, but I had no issues with the insurance company working with them. HOWEVER, my car was broken into while it was in their possession. They keep their cars in a big dirt open lot - no fence or security. And it's not in the best part of town. There's no forced entry, so I can only assume they left my car unlocked. Whoever broke into my car couldn't figure out how to press a button to get into my glove box, so they pried it open and broke off a large piece of plastic covering the button. You can see it in the picture. When I tried to bring it to the attention of the shop owners, they tried arguing that maybe it happened before or after they had my car. Nope. I opened my glove box, removed my car insurance/registration right when I dropped it off, then picked up my car with a huge piece of plastic on the floormat. They refuse to acknowledge that this happened on their property. They told me they have cameras to monitor their lot, however what's the point of cameras if you don't review the footage and take responsibility? Despite the back and forth, they used a plastic adhesive to glue the piece back on over the glove box button. Who knows how long that will last? There are still scratch marks all over my glove box. And really they should be accountable to replace the whole glove box. Maybe this doesn't sound like a huge deal, but my car is a $40-50k car brand new. Final word: I would use them again for auto body repairs, but NOT until they have a secure area for cars to be parked while in their possession. If you use them, be sure to remove all valuables from your car. It may not stop a burglar, but at least your valuables won't be stolen.

Since I was flying out of town on Thursday July 31st, I called them to see if my repairs were complete. They said it would take a couple more days. I arrived back in town on Wednesday August 6th (three weeks after I originally turned in my truck) and called my wife and they said it would be done that afternoon. They called me back the afternoon of August 6th and said the repairs were complete. When I got there to pick it up, much to my surprise, when I inspected my truck, it was not finished. One of the primary pieces that was. supposed to have been replaced, the chrome step $723, had not been replaced. Yes it was on listed on the Job order/and final bill. Also, the truck had not been cleaned up and ready to drive out. They said it would take another two days. I finally got to pick it up at 4pm on Friday August 8th, 24 days after I had taken it to Sorrells body shop. The one positive note, the secretary Rose was very kind and considerate.
