I found this place by mistake. I got lost on my way from work and I turned into their driveway to fix my phone but when I looked up I noticed it was a restaurant. So I went inside a rambled to the staff and they were so patient with me. One even gave me directions back to 84 and he recommended the fries. So the food was to go and was in my car for at least an hour. The food remained fresh and still very good. I'm sad I couldn't eat it sooner because I bet Itd be even better. The pizza is fresh the veggies still have that freshness snap to em. The fries are very good too and so are the fried pickles. I'm definitely going to go on purpose this time lol with friends. This is an extra cheese pizza, by far the best one yet. I can't get over it. This is as usual great on time, but my point is this if you ask for extra cheese this is a prime example. It's ok, salads have been consistently good, but nothing special about the pizza. Appetizers and entrees are just so-so, kind of greasy and leave you feeling full, and not in a good way. The appetizers were ok, but the pizza was excellent!!! Waitress was very friendly and attentive to service. We were there just within an hour of closing time this past Friday and had no issues. I just had a roast beef grinder, at least that is what I ordered. If I closed my eyes and ate it I would think this was a vegetable grinder. The bread is stale and there is one slice of roast beef. You cannot even taste the roast beef. Back in June, I got a pizza from them and it was terrible. If I could have rated this with zero stars that is what I would give it. Owner called me a liar basically when I called stating my pick up sandwich order was wrong, and that I simply wanted some customer service. I was treated horrifically. I was a regular customer for a year before, often went there for a burger or sandwich, and never complained before to them! Ridiculous service from the owner woman. I got better service from a fast food restaurant like Taco Bell when they've messed up my orders on every single occasion. Sad. Detail: Last year I visited Kolossos. I had been there many times for a full year before, a regular customer even though the food wasn't particularly fantastic, and the service often got my food wrong, I came back still. I never complained about the food order being wrong until my last experience with them. I ordered a sub sandwich over the phone for pick up. On my way home from work was the plan. That day was when a bad snow storm, or rain storm (one of the two) was on it's way, and it had already begun, the roads weren't safe, especially in the dark. So I picked up my food, and went right home. When I opened it and found it was wrong, I called and stated so because I was so frustrated and hungry. (I was actually pregnant as well, so this upset me even more) The teenage girl stated she couldn't do anything for me unless I brought back the sandwich right then. I told her I wasn't going to go back out in the dark and the storm again that night, and asked for some sort of customer service from her. I figured I could get back the next day or something. I was home alone too, so I had no one to send out for me. She said the OWNER would be in some hours later at 8:30pm, and I could call back to talk to her about it then. I said okay, thanks. So I called back. I'd met this lady before on a few occasions picking up my food. I always ordered pick up. She answered and I politely told her what happened, that they messed up my sandwich, but I wasn't in a condition, nor did I think it safe to come back out in the storm to return a messed up sandwich. My dinner was already ruined any way. She flat out told me that her cooks didn't report any mistakes today, and that she believes her cooks over me the customer. I was shocked that she basically CALLED ME A LIAR! Wow! I repeated her words and waited because I was already angry that she was condescending and rude to me, and I wanted to give her a chance to take that back. She said the same thing again. I was so shocked and didn't think to yell at her because it was so unbelievable. She sat there in silence for over a minute. I thought she hung up and I said "Hello?" and her answer was "I can give you 10% off your next order" with an incredible B word attitude... So summed up the OWNER, not the teenage phone girls because they were always polite and respectful, was incredibly RUDE, and accused me of lying to her for a freaking sandwich. I was a regular customer, and never complained previously, and this is was my treatment. Food not that great, so it was easy to never go back. I told my family and friends to forget them, they're not worth it. None of my money will EVER go back to the OWNER of that so called restaurant business that RELIES on CUSTOMERS for their money. Again sad, completely unprovoked, and unnecessary behavior from them. read more
