OUTSTANDING! I got the Purple Love which is the Taro flavor. I went very close to closing and the cashier was patient. Once I told her I wanted Taro I realized it wouldnt be made as a slushie or smoothie. She was more than willing to let me change it. She offered the change so pleasantly, just like I was one of her family members or something. I said no and just kept it as is because I didnt want to be difficult. She assured me the Taro would be good and that it's a popular flavor. She was right! It was perfect. I'm so happy I tried Kokee, now I dont have to travel to Burke for a good boba drink. Located in the mall, this place was clean and the prices were equivalent to Chicago's china town bubble tea prices. I had the Matcha smoothie that was good. The customer service is excellent. Overall I would definitely come back here again when I visit the area. On a side note, the security that work in the mall are arrogant and not very helpful. I asked a question about a specific store in the mall and it was like I was asking him if I could barrow $20. He seemed annoyed and upset. I asked another security officer the same question and he completely ignored me and walked away. (I asked if there was an Eddie Bauer store) besides security being completely useless and just a waste of space, the mall was nice and the tea shop was great. read more

Overall great experience but the tea itself was lacking. To start the review on a positive note, I enjoyed the service a lot. The people that were working behind the counter were friendly and engaging. There wasn't much of a line, the menu was easy to read and the counter was very clean. The tea: I ordered the green milk tea. It tasted like watery standard grocery store green tea with milk and virtually no sugar. The texture of the boba was ideal, soft and chewy, but I was disappointed with the taste. It's advertised as "honey boba" but isn't sweet at all and has no honey flavor. I'm accustomed to having "bubble tea" as a dessert beverage, but I was thrown off because both the tea and the boba topping were quite bitter. I would certainly come back again for the service alone, and perhaps try another tea flavor. read more

The one in Potomac mills never makes a good bubble tea. The bubbles are never done right and are hard and stick to my teeth. My fiancé who's Korean laughs at this place. Very disappointed! I ordered an Oolong Milk Tea with Lychee Jelly. It tastes very watered down and the lychee jelly is now lychee poppers, which are not the same. This is now my second time visiting Kokee Tea and I have been left underwhelmed each time. read more

While the bubble tea is the best in this area (Thirsty Joe is my fav), check out the COFFEE! 10x better than "Bar Stucks". I'm not kidding. I had a latte that was so smooth and creamy--really excellent. Also critically important: no caffeine jitters! Yes, there is caffeine and it will boost your energy like any other coffee. BUT...how do I describe it? Like a smooth, clean energy, if you get it. This tells me the beans are high quality and roasted properly. Also, great management. How do I know? Finally a good bubble tea place in Woodbridge! Also a convenient location inside the mall too. I've been to pretty much all the Kokee teas in the area,some have been good and some not really all that.So I was bias about this one. Just opened this weekend and of course this place got a long line,they move pretty fast though since they have lots of people working behind the counter.The staff are very nice and look pretty skilled with their bubble tea.I ordered something different this time.I chose the mango passion fruit tea w/ strawberry boba because it sound pretty good.Even though they were busy,the staff were organized and moved efficiently with the drinks.When I got mine I was impressed with the presentation of the drink,but the taste is very important.Took a sip and was immediately glad that this location was a good one. The drink had a great balance of mango and passion fruit and tea flavor and I was glad it didn't have a bland flavor or wasn't a overpowering flavor like some of the other locations do. Had a nice refreshing taste to it as well.The only issue I had though was that they opened just recently and didn't have any kind of grand opening special which was weird considering lots of bubble tea places do that and also they didn't have their rewards program either. So this was my first time at this Kokee tea and I enjoyed my drink. I ordered the lychee tea and a house milk tea for my friend. The lychee tea was good however they gave it to me with no ice which is my only complaint. I would have preferred my drink be cold but I don't know if that's how it usually is or if they just forgot to put ice in it. I was in a rush so I didn't even notice until I was almost to my car. I will be back but will definitely remember to check next time. read more

We got the virgin peach mojito with honey boba. While the boba was good, we were annoyed by the mojito. They literally took peach green tea and threw in a mint leaf and wedge of lime. Based off of the name, we felt cheated. A little effort on their part to muddle the mint would have given us the mojito flavor we were expecting when we purchased this. read more

This is the best bubble tea shop in the area hands down. Thirsty Joe (Lychee and Kiwi infused Jasmine Green Tea topped off with kiwi/cucumber juice) is my go to drink. I've been meaning to write a review about what I saw at this place for awhile now but I haven't had the time . A few days ago I stumbled across this place thinking it would be a nice place to get a drink from, it looked like a fun and friendly environment but it was far from it. There was this older Asian lady who was there who I assumed to be a manager since she was the one not dressed up in uniform like the rest of the employees and was obviously much older . I witnessed this lady hit one of the male employees that looked strong enough to leave a bruise at least . Needless to say after witnessing that I do not have any time for business owners or leaders who put their hands on employees jokingly or not it is sickening . You may be their boss and sign their paychecks but you certainly do not own them and their body's . I talked to one of my friends who actually knew a guy that worked for them awhile ago. Apparently he finished his shift and he was upset because of how the day had gone. As he was leaving the same lady in question grabbed him by the arm and pulled him back to the store and when he refused to go she held on and followed him all the way to his car . This place needs to be under new management as soon as possible . Justice for your past , future and especially current employees. Will never give my time or money to people like that and I encourage others to do the same ! read more

I never had bubble tea in my entire life. This is my first time. My friends told me the "black stuff " and said it was weird. But you know a lot of people make assumptions based on false information so I decided I'm going to try it out myself and OH MY GOD they place is amazing I LOVE BUBBLE TEA!! The drinks here are very good, my girlfriend and I thought they excelled over most bubble tea shops we've been to. I favor this place over kung fu tea, the store looks nice, its very clean and it grabs your attention. My only concern would be the customer service. It was a Saturday and the place was fairly busy. At most places the cashiers are polite, they keep the line going without rushing or yelling at the customers but the person at register was very direct, shouting out, "Next in line!" I felt like it ruined the atmosphere of the place, its a very bright, casual looking store and it makes you feel welcome but i feel like the staff should be more friendly. The majority of the staff look fairly young, they should be full of life. When you get your drink they just hand it to you and maybe get the occasional "thanks." The connection with the customer is a very important factor, it determines whether the customer comes back or not! read more

After a long day of shopping we needed something refreshing for our long drive home so we decided to try out Kokee. Very very very long line but wow, service was fast. My hubs got the matcha milk green tea with I think tapioca bubbles. I got the mango smoothie. Our son got the mango slush. They had my favorite mocha cream ppang, grabbed the last two. Cashier, he was very friendly. When my husband ordered his drink he forgot to add the bubbles, he noticed afterwards. He asked if it would be possible to add it. Cashier smiled and asked one of the young ladies to do it. My hubs was ready to pay the extra but they didn't charge. The young lady who took his drink at first looked unhappy and a bit rude but as soon as my husband thanked her and apologized for inconvenience her face lifted with a smile. I guess we messed up her flow. LOL. The mango smoothie was delish. It wasn't too sweet and tasted very fresh. Been awhile since we had boba so it was nice treat. Will be back soon. read more

This was the worst experience I've ever had from Kokee Tea and my last experience at this location! I frequent the franchise store in Pentagon City Mall, in which mostly all of the employees are customer service oriented. I've always felt as though they were happy to provide a service to me, and I was willing to pay for my goods and services. I recently went in Potomac Mills and saw the new Kokee Tee store and I proceeded to ask the cashier if I could use my reward points I received at another location. Somewhere in between me talking to the 2 cashiers a woman named Ms Shin proceeded to include herself in the conversation saying (We small biz-ness we know want nun). The lady explained that she was the owner and she spoke very little English. The lady tried having a conversation with me, but all I could truly understand her saying was (they not buying any)! One of the 2 cashiers tried to help the situation by telling her he was asking about his reward points, but none the less it was know reward for ignorance! My bad experience only is only at the Potomac Mills location. When I get a chance, I will revisit the Pentagon Mall location. As for the 1 star I used that is really a minus, and remember when someone doesn't treat you with respect spend your money elsewhere. read more
