It required 7 pages of initial paperwork and I received 4 text notifications prior to the appointment. They repeatedly reminded me to attend and informed me that if I wasn't there, and on time, I would be charged at least $75 and possibly more... okay. No problem. I understand. So I arrive 10 minutes early to fill out the forms. The receptionist barked instructions to me and demanded my drivers license. It was strange. Stressful. Then I went to the exam room and the hygienist shared the lengthy explanation of "how they do things." Since I had x-rays 6 months ago, they wouldn't clean my teeth without seeing those x-rays first; and, unfortunately, my former dentists' office was closed, so they sent me home. I still can't believe it and I'm embarrassed. Why didn't they call my dentist last week to get what they needed? They are clear with their time boundaries, but what about working ahead so it's a positive experience for both of us and an efficient use of my time, too? What an embarrassing first appointment that should have been simple and effortless - something's wrong. I won't be back and don't recommend this practice.

I avoided the dentist for more than a decade, so you can imagine the embarrassment and anxiety I felt when I was finally forced to make an appointment due to a dental emergency; not to mention the condition of my teeth. Dr. Mele made sure that I have a comfortable, pain-free experience, that I am well informed regarding my treatment plan and that I understand that I am a part of the treatment decision process. Dr. Schultz has made going to the dentist fun by showing her all the tools, with how gentle she is during cleanings, and my daughter gets to pick something out of the goodie box at the end. I recently had my bonds upgraded to veneers on six of my teeth, and the process went very smooth. Dr. Schultz took me in as soon as the veneers came in from the lab (literally called me 30 mins after they arrived!) to switch from my temporaries to the permanents because she knew I had a family party that weekend. After years of dental problems - severe TMJ, repeated fractured teeth, crowns that I would grind out of my mouth in my sleep despite multiple different mouth guards - I decided to try a new dentist and found Dr. Farid. Instead of telling me how we would fix each individual problem that I was having, she told me we needed to change how my mouth works as a whole. I was floored - in all the years of going to numerous dentists, no one had EVER suggested that my mouth could be fixed! She laid out a plan for how we would accomplish this and told me the end result would be teeth that are functional and beautiful. It has been somewhat of a long journey, but right on point with the expectations she set during that first meeting, and I can now say that she came through on her promise and, somehow, more. Now all my crowns and bridge is worn down and has holes because it wasn't cemented correctly. Now I have at least $15,000 worth of dental work to be done. I called the office and left a vm explaining what happened. I used to be a dental assistant. You have to check the bite to make sure it's not hitting other teeth and dental work so this doesn't happen. I never got a call back and now I'm stuck with a big expense.

I just moved into the area and having to switch to new doctors always made me felt nervous, especially when I am due with my baby at any moment and having to go through a whole new dental procedure. First of all, her dental office was extremely clean and all the equipments were new and updated. She and her staff spent about an hour examining my teeth and that made me felt like they really care about their patients. I also wasn't aware that the first visit usually only consists of "check-ups" and patients needed to schedule a follow-up appointment for routine cleaning - but after communicating my situation with Dr. Luna (with a baby due any moment), she squeezed me into her busy schedule today so I can have my teeth examined and cleaned before my due date. On top of that, she was more thoughtful and careful that I was that she recommended putting all the other procedures (such as X-rays and etc.) postpartum and double made-sure that my teeth would have no problem in the next six months before I come back to see her again.
